The case is in lovely used antique condition with a decoration front and back of bellflower vines, I think. There are a couple of bangs along the sides and the mid front is a bit pressed in. Mid front has a small shield with “M.A. Saylor” in the shield. There are five marks along the inside edge when the cover is open— maker’s mark, sterling mark, victoria profile duty mark, year mark, and the Birminham anchor.

c.1850 Forged Iron Skimmer During the Civil War soldiers had to do a lot of cooking over a fireplace and the use of skimmers had a myriad of uses in camp life. This hand forged blacksmith made skimmer is crudely fashioned together using four iron rivets holding the handle to the strainer. Old Antique Glass Bottle with Silver Inlay marked 925 Unknown maker Unique used
Up for your consideration is a quite old antique bottle. I am not sure of the origins of this unique piece. It measures about four and three-quarters(4 3/4" inches tall and about one(1" inch top diameter and one and one-quarter inch bottom diameter. It may have been an old perfume or spirits bottle. It could have also been used for magic potions. On the side is an eye-hook which may have been used to hang on the wall or a person's neck. It also may have had a chain attached to a silver stopper. I really don't know what it is! By the eye hook is a marking of 925-which probably signifies the silver content. It is very old and in fair condition for its age. The bit is steel and it sure is not pretty but they say these bits really perform. There is rust and some pitting in the steel. It is not bent, broken, or repaired. Vintage Handmade Maker Marked HERMANN H HEISER Fringed Leather SHOT GUN CHAPS
This is a pair of vintage shot gun chaps made by Hermann H Heiser probably from the 1930’s. The chaps are maker marked on the belt and have the HHH trademark on the brads at the top of each leg. The Hermann H. Heiser saddlery opened in 1874 in Denver. Colorado and operated until the mid 1950’s. These chaps are shown in the Heiser Catalog#35 on page 42 as style no. 864 and described as made of chocolate color full grain leather, laced leg with fringe, plain belt, and inside pockets. These chaps are step in style and the leather has a nice patina from age and is still flexible. The leather is about 5 ½ ounce. They have inside slip in pockets and there are brands at the bottom of both legs. The leather is still flexible on these chaps but has some surface cracking from age. All of the fringe is still intact. The chaps are all original with ... morethe exception of the front tie which was recently replaced. The chaps show scuffs from use and wear mainly at the knees and belt strap and someone punched extra holes in the belt. There is one small slit on the back of the left leg around the knee area about 1” long shown in the sixth picture. The bottom of the left leg is curled and stiff as shown in the tenth picture probably where the cowboy got to close to the branding fire. We are selling these for display purposes only. These would be a great pair of chaps to add to a collection for display. Reverse is marked: C.E. Vokes. Maker. Covington. KY. This is a RARE example of a Brigade Headquarters Corps Badge. For the 3rd Brigade of the 1st Division of the 2nd Army Corps. Brigade headquarters were marked with a pennant shaped flag in Red.White, and Blue, with the Corps Badge displayed on the central stripe of the flag. The color closest to the staff denoted the brigade. The central stripe bore the Corps emblem in the proper color for the division of the corps. These were often private purchases of officers, since they were not included in the basis equipment of a soldier. Shell is entierly made out of vulcanfiber. Exept for the vent holes and the metal rim. Original glossy black finish. With honest traces of wear. No dings. Holes or cracks(wich is frequently happening with aged vulcanfiber) on this helmet, The outer rim is firmly attached to the shell. The liner is made out of leather and in very good supple condition. The liner is entierly made out of leather. It`s 8 leather `fingers` complete. All of them have 5 sweath holes and one additional eyelet to pass the drawstring trough. Marked K&C on the outside of cheek piece and overlaid with 8 nickel silver engraved pieces. This rare mark is attributed to a short lived venture between two of the biggest names and most talented bit and spur makers, Kelly and Crockett. Their intermittent styles and distinctive spur and bit work is apparent in the few pieces that were made in the 1920s. Of those that have survived, most are in private collections or museums. Up for auction. Here is a rare find. Antique Brass Horse Bit. Military? The mouth piece is maker marked and looks to read: JosB&Co. Bit has a 4-3/4" mouth and 6-1/2" cheeks with loose rings at both the bit end and the mouth p iece. This came off a VERY VERY old bridle. I will be listing the conchos off the bridle in the next day. Beautiful unusual chocolate pot. The design is quite stunning. With scalloped bottom, leaf top and bark handle with leaf. Pretty violets. They look hand painted on top part of pot and lid. I do not know the maker. There is a 10 and B on bottom. Good condition except for slight gold loss on handle see picture#4. The inside of lid has slight hairline crack that does not reach to top of lid. I can't feel the crack, just can see. No damage on top of lid. Measures approx. 8 1/4" high and 7 1/2" wide handle to spout. Weighs almost 2 lbs.

ORIGINAL WWI IMPERIAL GERMAN LUGER PISTOL HOLSTER 1915 MAKER MARKED R. NAGEL
I am downsizing and so reducing my militaria collection. An original World War One Imperial German army Luger pistol holster. Measures twenty six cms. from top to bottom approximately. And twenty cms. wide at the top of the flap approximately. It is stamped with the name of manufacturer"R. NAGEL& Co. BIELEFELD" and the date"1915" on the front, under the flap. Very solidly made of good quality leather. On the inside of the flap there is an inked stamped impression that reads"J.R.162" in a rectangle. I'm not certain but I have been told that this refers to which regiment it was issued to. The condition of the main body and flap is very good indeed with some surface crazing. The magazine pouch on the side however is mostly missing with just some parts remaining. One of the two belt loops on the back is missing ... moreand the other has come adrift at the top. The fastening strap on the front is present but the buckle is missing. The long strap with the toggle on the end that goes through the front of the holster is present and in good condition. I realise that it is not in the best of condition but the main things. The body and flap, are very good and I'm sure that any competent leather worker could replace the belt loop, buckle and magazine holder. The stitching is still good and there are no seams opening or undone. An excellent plus point is that the makers name etc. and the date are very clear and sharp. So not bad when you consider it is almost one hundred years old. Postage within the UK by Royal Mail. Sackett. The helmet is marked from the 4th Us Cav with dress plume. The helmet body is in excellent condition with no crackes or weak spots that I can find. the front eagle plate is a bit loose. This is a Plain Iron Single Spur marked"BOONE" inside the heel band. There were 2 Boone brothers and one cousin who marked their spurs with"BOONE" inside the heel band according to my reference material. They were brothers Bob Boone and Payton Boone and their cousin Wallie Boone. Based on the style of the stamp it looks like it could be Wallie's stamp. But you make your own decision. At widest point of heel band spur measures 3 1/8" The rowel is 1 1/4" and has 8 points. This plain iron spur is for the left boot, has some pitting, but is a very solid and in good condition.
