Antique 1930's Crown Devon Fieldings Musical Jug Music Box Pitcher Majolica
Crown Devon Fieldings Auld Lang Syne majolica musical pitcher jug with a scene in raised relief of a group having a toast and celebration. And words to Auld Lang Syne on backside. Very heavy. You might see some white spots in the pictures- this is flash glare from my camera. Conditon: No chips, nicks, cracks or repairs. Darker colored area near base(probably from the firing process. Fine crazing can be seen on inspection. The pitcher is meant to play auld lang syne when picked up and stop playing when put back down. The musical mechanism is not working and the twist key is sheered off, but will fit inside the hole still, so it will need a new auld lang syne music box put in it if you want it to play the song. The bottom has the Crown Devon mark used from 1930-1950, this jug being produced pre-war ca. 1930-1940. Measurements: 6 7/8" tall, ... more6" across the widest part, 4" across the bottom, 5 1/4" from edge of spout to opposite edge. I always pack securely and combine shipping on multiple item purchases whenever possible. Any white spots in the photos are flash glare from my camera. Unless specifically mentioned as otherwise- i'll always do my best to mention any damage or excessive blemishes in the auction description. Coin in photos is for size comparison purposes only and not included in the auction. Please ask any questions you may have prior to placing a bid. I never end auctions early! Returns accepted for sale price of item up to 14 days. Please notify me as soon as possible through ebays message system of intent to return. Before you return. Return shipping is at buyer's cost. I sell mostly used or vintage items with normal age associated wear, but I will always do my best to mention any damage or excessive wear. The pictures in the auction are usually the best way to see the condition of the item. I only can accept payment by Paypal as per eBay rules. VICTORIAN AESTHETIC PERIOD MAJOLICA JUG PITCHER VASE APPLE BLOSSOM LEAR
i000000. VICTORIAN AESTHETIC PERIOD MAJOLICA JUG PITCHER VASE APPLE BLOSSOM LEAR Click to Enlarge Extremely nice English Majolica jug. From the mid 1880s Aesthetic period It is typically unmarked by maker but I have found a similar piece attributed to Samuel Lear. Given that this is a first class UK operation making this suggestion, I daresay that they may be correct. However, whilst I cannot find any other Lear pieces with this distinctive handle, neither can I find any others from that period. It really is a stand out feature of this jug. Moving on, this jug is in very nice condition. It has the expected tight, clean crazing but there are no chips, cracks or other nasties on this. The background modelling is typical of Lear in that era, and the colours are quite strong. The inside of the jug is maroon, completely different from the other ... morecolours on the jug, which is again fairly Learesque. The jug is 7 inches/18 cms high, 6 inches/15.5cms across the widest art. It is heavy, as befits good old English majolica. Local pick up. At the shop, is very welcome and I always combine post where possible, which saves you heaps. Direct deposit is my favourite way of payment- all details will be on the invoice. PayPal will only be sent via registered mail within Australia- no exclusions to this as it protects us both. Please wait for invoice. Before attempting to pay. Thank you! Postage is Australia Post price, plus a small charge to pay for the internal packaging used- this is new and not recycled. Local pick up, with cash payment, is welcome at Vermont South shop. I mail Tuesday through to Friday. As far as the new Buyers Protection is concerned. For those in doubt, please do check my feedback. I have yet to find that I cannot protect my buyers all on my own! It is that simple. This is my job, I am an honest and reliable seller. If I have stuffed up, then it is up to ME, not eBay or PayPal, to fix it. And I have always done so with a good grace, I hope! Direct debit is preferred. With money orders and PayPal as next c

19th Century English Majolica Toby Jug with Purple Coat
This large majolica toby jug is hand made and dates from the second half of the 1800's. I have collected toby's for many years and the two like this that I have listed have always been my favorites. It is with great reluctance that I am being forced to part with them. I purchased both this one and it's companion piece(listed separately) from Bristol. England, UK in the mid 1990's. It features a rough, handmade appearance with a hand applied handle which resembles wood or bark. The beautiful majolica glaze is transparent in some areas and there are noticeable drip marks as would be expected. Please see the photo showing the brim of the hat. It stands aproximately 6 1/2 inches high. There is no makers mark. There are no chips or cracks and has only very fine age appropriate crazing. I had this pair verbally appraised in April ... moreof 2005 and was given a value at that time of $200-$300 each. All of my"By It Now" sales require immediate payment via paypal. If payment in full is not received within 24 hrs. of the end of the sale. The item will automatically be relisted. Please ask all questions before hitting the button to purchase, as all sales are final. Thank you in advance for your understanding of these terms. I have described these jugs to the very best of my ability. It is your responsibility to ask if you need more information. Your purchase will be packed very carefully. If you wish to have it shipped by priority mail with a tracking number at an additional cost. Please notify me before paying. Expedited shipping is also available at an additional cost. Thank you.
