I have for auction a beautiful vintage Oriental/Asian/Middle Eastern decorative small brass footed jug and two vases. They have no makers marks so I have no idea of the exact age or origin. They have been expertly hand crafted from brass and decorated with elaborate and intricate floral detail. Inlaid with red enamel. The jug is in very good condition with no chips, dents or cracks but a couple of tiny sections of the red enamel have worn away and both vases have no chips or cracks but they both have some dents on the top rim- please see photo's. The jug is 95mm high. 30mm across the top rim and 40mm across the base rim. Lot of 4 Navajo signed pottery pieces, 3 vases and 1 hanging jug
Lot of 4 Navajo signed pottery pieces. Three vases and one hanging jug. The shortest vase is about 5 1/2" inches tall. The second shortest is about 6 1/4" inches tall, the third vase is about 8 inches tall and the hanging jug is about 7 1/2" inches tall. All four pieces are in pretty good condition. There are no cracks in the pottery but there are some chips that I have shown these in the pictures. There are also some scuff marks along the bottoms of the pieces and on the surfaces of them. The jug has scuffs along the back where it has rubbed on the wall from where it was hung. Again, I have shown these things in the pictures to the best that I can. Julius Dressler Pair of Porcelain Majolica Art Nouveau Jug/Vases circa 1900's
Welcome to our auction for this beautiful pair of unusual. Rare, Julius Dressler Majolica vases. We believe these to have been produced in the early part of the 20th century in Beila, Austria, though we do not have the means to identify their age by their markings. The JBD tower is impressed on the bottom of one vase which has a fine line which may be a crack or repair line- we have taken many photos of this to try to be completely honest about the condition. The photo showing the exterior of the base of this vase will also show the buyer the extent of any possible damage. The number 5482 is impressed into both bases. The numbers 487 and 13 are also visible on both bases. The vases are extremely decorative in the colours of green. Gold, light blue and brown with deep mouldings giving a very tactile feel. They are in the style of jugs and ... morehave pale pink interior glazing. The vases are 310mm high. And 145mm at their widest point(handle to pouring spout) The base is 90mm in diameter. There are no chips or any other cracks/damage- other than that previously mentioned. We will pack these vases very carefully in a cardboard box with plenty of padding material. The package will weigh less than 2kg. In the event of loss or damage in the post. We will supply the proof of postage receipt so that the purchaser can claim against the carrier. SUPERB PAIR ALLER VALE TORQUAY POTTERY PERSIAN PATTERN UNUSUAL SHAPE JUG VASES
Please see more photos below: A pair of English antique late C19th'Aller Vale' unmarked) Torquay pottery vases in'Persian' pattern. Formally known as'Rhodian' The vases are an unusual shape having conical bases with flat bottoms, the tops are pinched and flared whilst the applied handles are threaded through a neat hole which has been made in the flared tops. Each jug or vase has a height of 5.4 ins(138 mm) to the top of the handle and a base diameter of 4.2 ins(107 mm) They are quite weighty and have a lead glaze which is very reflective. The vases are in good condition(no cracks, chips) with slight fritting to one rim and have an overall very fine Satsuma type crazing which is very attractive(not sure if this was intentional or as a result of age) A very decorative pair of antique'Aller Vale' Torquay pottery ... morevases which would make a welcome addition to a collection.
