THERE ARE NO CRACKS AND NO REPAIRS OF ANY KIND.THE PURPLE ARROW IN THE PHOTO ON THE SIDE OF THE JUG APPEARS TO BE A CRACK BUT IT IS IN FACT A DRIP. Primitive Dug Clay Jug with Drip Glaze Georgia? 8 3/4" Tall by 5 1/4" diameter
This is a pretty jug. It's another from our Dad's collection which he started around 1960. The handle is broken off but otherwise it's in great condition. Moonshine jug in good condition. 6-1/2" diameter at base, 2 tiny chips on inside edge of lip, crackling in light tan glaze on lower half, and some drip mark hazing of surface of dark brown upper half, otherwise any other scrapes, dings, bumps dimples or other surface irregularities on this jug are from the forming process! No makers marks found anywhere on this, but close inspection does seem to show indications of hand-forming around the neck and bottom of handle/loop. Large Toby Jug / Pitcher w/Handle, 8 1/4" Tall Bottom Marked with R in triangle
You are bidding on a large Toby type Jug or Pitcher of a guy that is not very good looking-ugly facial expression. He is holding what appears to be a pitcher in one hand and a glass in the other and is sitting in a high back chair. It is in good condition with the exception of a couple of places where they missed the glazing during the manufacture-does not detract from the item-in fact I hardly noticed them. It is 8 1/4" high. Colors are predominately browns. Tans and greens. Bottom is marked with an R within a triangle or diamond shape and a"quarter moon" next to that mark. Never seen one like this before. It looks like it has some age to it and there is a lot of crazing. I don't know if it originally contained shave lotion or not. The inside of the jug looks like it is glazed and is a brown color. There is one chip on the bottom of the jug near the edge(please see photo) it looks like it is an old chip to me. It looks like ... morethere is a small chip on the top of the opening of the jug but the brown color and glaze cover this chip so I think the chip may have happened when this jug was originally being made. This jug had a piece of the old cork inside when I purchased it(it came from an Estate Sale) I was able to turn the jug over and get the cork out. The cork will be included but it is very brittle and falling apart. There is crazing on the jug and it looks like it could use a good cleaning. Other than that. It weighs 13 ounces. I purchased this miniature jug at an Estate Sale and I don't know how old it is but it does look like it has some age to it. It looks like there is a cork stuck inside the jug along with some small pieces of paper/foil. I don't see any chips or cracks and I can see a little bit of crazing near the bottom. The lower part of the jug looks ... morelike a tan color and the upper area is a dark brown color. The tan color looks like it has some swirls of lighter tan colors. I lightly cleaned the jug with a little bit of water on a cloth. It does look like it could use a good cleaning. There is a little bit of a pink color on the section between the brown and tan colored areas; I don't know if it is a stain or not. This little Whiskey Jug will make a nice display piece! The item for sale is a hard to find small antique stoneware Western Stoneware jug in good overall condition. This piece is original. The jug has ho chips or breaks. There is a seam separation where the top section meets the base section(see pics) This does not go through and the piece does not leak even under pressure. Stoneware Jug Bottle Light Blue Wine Whiskey Vintage 11.1/4" Tall w Makers Mark This bottle is approximately 11.1/4" tall. The diameter is 9.5" and it weighs a little more than 2 pounds. There are some minor areas of peeling paint/glaze and a hairline crack or maker's defect along the neck. The bottom side is marked with what I believe to be the maker's mark with some numbers. I do not know the age or the maker. But I think this is old. The color is a light blue or some may call it a baby or sky blue.

Up for auction is this Vintage Ceramic. Painted jug- Pink in color. This jug stands 10 1/2" tall and measures 17" around the thickest part in the center. The Pink paint has a rough texture. There are pods of grapes with leaves and stems, a wagon, a pitcher and cup and a basket and shovel painted on top of the Pink. There are raised Gold spots of paint also- filling in the center of the leaves. It has a handle and a pour spout. The bottom has the number 299 or 249? Italy and initials that must be in Italian. Brown Salt Glazed Miniature 4 1/4" tall Jug
I can tell you I honestly don't know what this was used for. Maybe liquor? Anyway it stands roughly 4 1/4" tall, it has a salt glaze, and the base color is brown. It is a molded item, suggesting they made more than one. It does have a fish eye in the glaze, showing some color from the salt glaze. No other condition issues have been found.
