Up for sale are 4 cast iron swing arm style curtain rods with mounting brackets. They are extendable. I'm not certain of the age. They were in a box ... morealong with much more cast iron window hardware. The box came out of a Brownstone building in Boston Ma. All the items are antique or vintage. But I'm not an expert, so please look at the pics and decide for yourself. The rods are mostly black with some brassy tones showing through. The overall length of the rods are approximately 15.75" when collapsed. 23" overall when expanded. The rod part is 12" when closed and up to 19" or so inches when extended. These rods are a bit tough to extend or contract. But they still work. I lightly sprayed the mating parts with wd40 to get them moving, so there may be a slight residue to wipe off, but I did a pretty good job of freeing them up and wiping off extra wd40. These are sold in as found condition, so they have imperfections and paint loss here and there, but are in overall good shape. Please see pics. Please ask any questions before bidding. Thank you! It is 14" long in the closed position and 19" when fully extended. There are 12 vintage brass square hanging loops and the 14 of the hard to find vintage curtain pins which fit through the square loops and onto the curtains. Two of the square hanging loops are slightly smaller than the other 10 and I doubt you would see any difference when they are hanging. The 10 squares measure 1 1/4" top to bottom and the 2 squares measure 1" top to bottom. There is no wall mounting hardware with this item. Also included is an orphan curtain hook which is somewhat ... morelarger. This swing arm is in very good condition considering it's age. The cold paint red and green detail is very clear with some of the gold rubbed off slightly in places. The rod itself shows the usual loss of paint due to decades of brass rings rubbing against it. I know these are old. But I do not know how old. I do know they are a charming piece of history, and I'd like them to go to a good home. They are intended for curtains. But I've seen similar rods hung as towel racks in bathrooms, magazine racks(one magazine one each) to hang children's artwork, and more. Get creative! Not extended. Each arm measures almost 14 inches. It seems they we're painted from golden to white. So they have a great shabby chic, antiqued look to them. 4 Vintage Metal Swing Arm Extending Drape Curtain Rods with brackets. Rings, screws and original instructions Four beautiful rods with an antiqued brass and copper painted stylized leaf design. The rods are 18" long to the tip of the finial and extend to about 26" The decorative stylized leaf section is about 9 1/2" long by 3" high. The finials are 2 3/4" long by 1 3/4" wide. The original brackets. Screws, instructions and 25 rings(11 separate and 14 on rods) are included. The paint is in very good condition but there is some paint loss as shown in pictures. Two of the rods are missing the finials. One has had the finial re-attached(see picture 11 for closeup of repair)

Here is a set of 2 as-found vintage/antique gold art deco curtain rods. The rods are iron(magnetic) And are gold colored with a'wing like' design on one end. These do not come with the wall mounting brackets. Both rods extend fine, although a little stiff. Rods measure about 14 1/2" in the shortest position and extend out to about 24" leaving about 1 1/2" overlap. One has a tiny bit of rust and a little missing paint, and they both have some splatters of cream colored paint on them. I can send any additional photos that you request. Up for sale are 4 cast iron swing arm style curtain rods with mounting brackets. They are extendable. I'm not certain of the age. They were in a box along with much more cast iron window hardware. The box came out of a Brownstone building in Boston Ma. All the items are antique or vintage. But I'm not an expert, so please look at the pics and decide for yourself. The rods are mostly black with some brassy tones showing through. The overall length of the rods are approximately 15.75" when collapsed. 23" overall when expanded. The rod part is 12" when closed and up to 19" or so inches when extended. These rods are a bit tough to extend or contract. But they still work. I lightly sprayed the mating parts with wd40 to get them moving, so there may be a slight residue to wipe off, but I did a pretty good job of freeing ... morethem up and wiping off extra wd40. They sure do look like copper due to the green patina. But a magnet does stick to them, so they can't be solid copper. Heavy extension rods, whatever they may be. Each side includes(8) rings, and each side of the rod measures about 18" when not extended. They do not include the hardware brackets however. You are getting what is pictured.
