Here's nice old or antique pair or set of cast iron shelf brackets we received recently with some estate items. These are about 7.25 by 5.75 inch size and about an inch wide. They have no cracks and slight signs of use and age. There is a little paint loss to the black enamel and some minor surface rust as shown in the pictures. These have a nice decorative pattern of the period. Nice set overall. That's about it. The pictures should be helpful to those having interest. We'll start this pair or set of antique decorative cast iron shelf brackets low so enjoy the auction. We'll pack these carefully. Here's two antique shelf brackets as found with chipped white paint and rust. They were found together but they are not an exact match. They are almost the same size. Pair of Antique Victorian Shelf Brackets, Cast iron, Patent 1873, 7.75 x 6.25 in
This is a terrific old pair of shelf brackets. This the second and last pair that we have. These antique brackets are made of cast iron and have a June 18. 1873 patent date on the back. They are 6 1/4 by 7 3/4 by 1 1/16 inches. On one, the original black japanned finish and original embossed design have been covered with green and black paint. Some of the black paint has worn off. The second one was not painted and still has most of its original black finish. There is some light rust in the pattern details where the finish is missing. These have an attractive shape.
