Here's nice old or antique pair or set of cast iron shelf brackets we received recently with some estate items. These are about 7.25 by 5.75 inch size and about an inch wide. They have no cracks and slight signs of use and age. There is a little paint loss to the black enamel and some minor surface rust as shown in the pictures. These have a nice decorative pattern of the period. Nice set overall. That's about it. The pictures should be helpful to those having interest. These very old brackets are made of cast iron. They could have originally been used as counter top supports. Shelves, flower box brackets, etc. There are many purposed for these large brackets. Each bracket has 5 holes for mounting on the top edge and 1 screw hole along the longer edge. Screws not included. These are well made and there are no cracks or imperfections in the casting that I can see. They have been wire brushed and sprayed with WD-40 but could use some more cleaning. Two Vintage Ornate Cast Metal Shelf Brackets Art Deco? Style- Painted Black These are vintage shelf brackets. But I'm not sure how old they are or what era- they kind of look art deco. They are made of a cast metal and have been painted black. The design is quite detailed and is very striking. They do have one broken place- the lower hole where you would put a screw is broken on one bracket. I think you could kind of cover it up when you put a screw there. Other than that. There are not any breaks or cracks. The paint is chipping in places, and there is some rust(both on the design part and on the back) it kind of adds to their aged look. Vintage Pennsylvania Dutch Design Iron Brackets Wall Shelf 5 Pair. These were ordered in 1985 from B P Lamp Supply. Stored away and forgot about them until now. Set of 10 brackets in Pennsylvania Dutch Design. Inspired by a Pennsylvania Dutch hex sign, these Victorian shelf brackets have a folksy appeal. The star design is repoduced in sturdy cast iron and finished with a black powder coat. Each bracket is 6 3/4" x 9" and includes 6 matching slotted screws per bracket. Great find!
