Please Note: Not A Replica! My other oil lamp from Jerusalem(priced at $79.49) is a very nice example of an established oil lamp style that you will find in ancient oil lamp reference books. Call it the standard production model. However. This authentic oil lamp is indeed extremely rare. It would have been CUSTOM made for the wealthy by a local artist in the Jerusalem area. To be a documented/referenced oil lamp(like my other oil lamp) large numbers of the same/similar oil vessels are required to be cataloged in order to be listed in a reference book. I venture to say that this specific Jerusalem oil lamp is one of a kind as there is no other documented oil lamp that is similar. Note the carvings around the oil lamp.
