Stand is in very nice shape but does show normal age appropriate wear- some scuffs/scratches in the finish, one area(shown in pic) on one leg where the finish has been scratched, and it does appear that a repair has been made on one of the top pieces(shown in last picture) Originally thought it was a scratch until further inspection- honestly don't think it is noticable. The rest appears to be all original finish, and worn areas can be seen in the finish especially on the top. This stand has 4'sections' in it. Each of the four legs are surrounded with brass coverings. Canes shown for display only and are not included. I believe there would have originally been a drip tray with this but is missing. VINTAGE Brass colored metal umbrella stand. Hallway stand for walking sticks. Canes, umbrellas or as it has spent its last years before retirement- holding a yard stick advertising collection. Style is like thick wire or rods and I think it looks pretty 70’s. Stands about 22” tall with its general shape at 11”x9” Stands solid. No wobble. Some areas of the metal has light oxidation or speckle, but its not very noticeable while in use. Take gold spray paint and spray it as a puddle into a cloth or wad of paper towels and rub over this to rejuvenate the current color or to change the color. Up for auction is one Antique/Vintage Wooden Cane/Umbrella Stand. This stand appears to be hand made? as the edges are not perfect/etc.and appears to be quite old. The nails that can be seen that make the divisions for the canes are square nails. The design(wheat/leaf) is recessed into the wood on the front. There are scratches. Dings, etc from use(especially in the pan) It was purchased as part of an estate, so we do not know the history. c1870 VICTORIAN CAST IRON HALL TREE HAT RACK WALKING STICK CANE UMBRELLA STAND
Just acquired out of a wonderful. Southern Ohio estate, we are able to offer this exceptionally nice, and quite early, circa 1860's- 1880's era ~ VICTORIAN CAST IRON HALL TREE, UMBRELLA& CANE STAND, SIGNED JOHN MOORE NEW YORK ~ Please be sure to check out all of the 12 pictures we took of it. This is by far the nicest and most unusual example of an original 1870's era, Victorian Cast Iron Hall Tree stand we have ever had the opportunity to offer for auction. It measures 87 inches tall to the top of the fancy pomegranate fruit basket figural finial. The lower"hat rack" arm" by the mirror" with 4 hooks, measures 41 inches across and the top arm with 4 hooks measures 26 inches across. The base measures 28 inches wide by about 12 inches deep. There are a total of 9 very fancy large cast iron hooks which are ... moreall original to the hall tree. I even believe that the mirror is possibly original as well, with only some minor discoloration to the silvering. It has the original removeable bottom tray to rest your canes and umbrellas. The tray is signed ~ JOHN MOORE N.Y.~ on the bottom as well as signed on the back of the hall tree ~ JOHN MOORE N.Y.~ The over all condition is very nice with the exception of one broken hook on the bottom tier of cane rests- see picture# 11. It is actually not all that easy to tell because it is an inside hook. There is also one hook on the center column near the figural Lion's Head which has some damage. All of the large eight cast iron hooks on the top two sections are in perfect condition with no damage! The entire body and base is in perfect condition as well, with no cracks, chips or repairs. The patina to the cast iron is all original and we left it in 100% all original, as found, untouched condition. This would make a wonderful addition to any grand foyer entrance or a wonderful piece to display some of your prixed walking sticks or Victorian umbrellas and hats. ANTIQUE AMERICAN COUNTRY/WOOD UMBRELLA/CANE STAND ~ c. 1915
This is an old handmade wooden umbrella stand. It is a six sided cylinder(hexagon) with hand cut ear handles and a hexagonal base. The buttressed base is similar to that seen in arts& crafts pieces of the time. The umbrella stand is approx. 26 ¾” in height with a base diameter of 9 ½” The top diameter measures 6 ¼” The stand weighs approximately 8 lbs. The paint appears to be original and was once white which has since become an off white or even ivory over time. We haven’t the slightest idea of who made this piece but someone has used and preserved it and it has passed down several generations. Since this was used it bears the usual age dings. Some of the paint has crackle but the paint is stable and not flaking. The stand has no repairs that we can see. It probably graced the front porch or mud room of some modest country ... morehome. But please do verify its age to your satisfaction prior to bidding. I originally listed this as an early Roseville piece, but I was contacted by another eBayer(Thank you, John! who said that this was a Weller piece. With that information I was able to find an exact copy. Minus the beautiful colors mine has, listed as a Weller antique. This piece has beautiful colors and a romantic Victorian-country raised floral design. There are three different flowers in alternating pink and mustard/yellow– their stems run down to the ribbed bottom rim– their tops are ruffled(which makes the top of the stand ruffled/scalloped) There are also green leaves and. ... moreAlong with the pink& yellow flowers, the colors gradually blend into the brown base. Measurements are approximately– 20 ½” tall x 11” diameter and weighs right about 20 pounds. Condition– I am no pro and cannot grade this item. With that said I found; use marks, uniform(beautiful! crazing, small chips on the top rim(3/8” x ¼” and 1/8” x 1/8” small chip to the side(1/4” x 1/8” small chips to the bottom/base area(1/8” x 1/8” 1” x 5/8” a crack to the bottom(5” across the outside bottom and 2 ½” up the side– hairline& hard to see– does not go thru to the inside) and some small rub marks. There is no evidence of previous repairs and it is in solid, fully usable/displayable condition. This item will ship for FREE with tracking& insurance included! Rare Mid 1800's Cast Iron Dog. Umbrella/Cane Hall Tree Stand, Nice! I am selling a mid 1800's victorian cast iron umbrella/Cane hall tree stand. It has the plate that goes in bottom and that is pretty rare to find. According to the research I got on these. It says in book that these were made from 1883-1886 with this particular design, then they made a design almost identical around late 1800's that had a rabbit, then early 1900's they changed it to a duck instead of a rabbit, all 3 designs had the same large dog background. It has two canes held together by what looks to be a collar and a head of a whippet on one and a horse on the other. It has the number 12 on the dog tag. It is about 25" tall, 13 1/2" w and 8" deep. For your consideration is a WW1 shell trench art. This wonderful piece unfortunately is not signed. It is sad to think that whoever spent so much time on this did not put their name on it. This one is wonderful with lots of detail. A couple(looks like a peasant couple to me) are sitting at their small wood table on wood chairs reading a paper of some kind. In the background you can see the door and the fireplace mantel with cups and other items. A lot of attention to detail went into this piece. Use this for decoration or for an umbrella. Up for auction is a recent Estate Sale Find. A nice vintage copper umbrella or cane stand. It measures 19" high and 9" wide on the bottom. 8" across the top and 32" around the middle. The fancy applied handles measure 6 1/2" high. This does have some minor dents and dings plus a little scratching where the previous owner had tried to take a sticker off. Could probably be shined up with some brass cleaner. All in all a very nice decorative piece. The canes and umbrellas I have shown are not included. The figural umbrella stand marked"300" a letter but very hard to make out what it is, Umbrella stand is exceptional with a hound dog, having a seated dog and tree back panel with faux bois rings and grapes design on final top. With several coats of green paint but in very good condition- porcelain-pan is removable and white. It is not really old although it is a Vermont estate piece. I'd guess it was probably made in the 1980's. It's a gorgeous and stately piece of pottery. Measuring 15" tall and has a diameter of 9" outside edge. MID CENTURY BOSSE Hagenauer AUBOECK era UMBRELLA CANE STAND
Wonderful mid century modern? umbrella or cane stand made of cast iron and brass. I purchased this piece at an estate sale about 10 years ago as is and have never attempted to clean it. It was told to me that it had come over with the family from England many years prior to my purchase. It is marked on the bottom with a G and an E inside of the G. Below it is the number 2. At the opposite side it is marked ges.gesche which I believe means there was a German patent involved. The G may stand for the Giesserei Foundry in Germany. The rust is all surface and could easily be cleaned and painted. One of the three circular rods occasionally pops out of the center sprocket but just needs to be pushed back in place. The brass is a thick 1/4" across when you measure the rod from side to side. Total height to top of the handle is 26 inches. The ... moretriangular base is approximately 8 inches across. It is very much in the style of Bosse. Hagenauer, Auboeck(Aubock) etc. but I am not an expert so do not know the exact age or to whom the design may be attributed. Arts crafts - mission period umbrella cane stand with copper pan
Mission Style Umbrella Stand with copper bottom insert. Stand measures 11" square and is 28" tall. The stand is in it's original finish resembling dark oak. The stand is fairly solid and makes a nice presentation. Based on age. Finish and grain it looks like oak but it seems a bit light for that so I can't say for certain the type of wood. Wear is consistent with age. I have included pictures of notable defects. Stand is solid and makes a nice presentation. Unfortunately there are no marks on the stand to identify the maker. I bought this at an estate sale 10 or so years ago and have used it in the Foyer ever since. Now redecorating thus offering it for sale.

Antique Umbrella Stand / Cane Stand Mid 19TH Century Embossed 4 Sided Scenes
Here up for bid is a very nice well made antique mid 19th century brass umbrella/ cane stand that is 25" tall and is 10 1/4" square. It is 4 sided with different embossed scenes on each side. It has 4 lion paw feet and has a metal liner. Towards the bottom there is embossed onion shaped design. This stand had been professionally refinished and oxidized and lacquered. There is a seam all the way down one of the edges where it was join together when originally made. And shows the solder. See photos. The metal liner shows some kind of epoxy where it was repaired probably from a crack on the corners. It really is in very good condition for its age. The scenes look to be some kind of conquistadors. It is a very cool engraved design of Flamingo or cranes on one side and bamboo trees on the other. It has no major dents or marks on it. there are some age spots which are common with aged brass. This is a great decorator piece and we like it just as is no need to polish that takes away from the character. This is a great vintage piece at a great price.

This vintage umbrella stand is made of metal with wooden dowels for the long corner posts. It measures 26" high and 8" square. It was all painted gold but some of the paint has worn off.
