Stand is in very nice shape but does show normal age appropriate wear- some scuffs/scratches in the finish, one area(shown in pic) on one leg where the finish has been scratched, and it does appear that a repair has been made on one of the top pieces(shown in last picture) Originally thought it was a scratch until further inspection- honestly don't think it is noticable. The rest appears to be all original finish, and worn areas can be seen in the finish especially on the top. This stand has 4'sections' in it. Each of the four legs are surrounded with brass coverings. Canes shown for display only and are not included. I believe there would have originally been a drip tray with this but is missing. Quarter-Sawn Oak Antique Vintage Plant Stand Pedestal This wonderful oak plant stand. Which is 35 ¾” tall, can be used to highlight a favorite plant or art piece. It’s quarter-sawn oak(also called tiger oak! golden in color and is in excellent condition. We believe it was manufactured in the early 1920s since a screw/nail head is visible underneath. The top. Which measures 14” is an octagon shape(8-sided) with an apron below. This well-built plant stand/pedestal rests on four sturdy curved feet and measures 15” in diameter at the base. We purchased this quality piece in the early 1980s and used it for many years in our front hall.

The oak table is missing a section of veneer underneath it is 2"x 1.25" near the edge. This table is two sections of wood glued together and the top section is cracked and needs glued. Wood area that holds the sheet music. The area in the center is missing the 3 rods that go up and down. Not sure if they were original wood or metal. Shown is an ANTIQUE TRIPTYCH or TRI-FOLD MIRROR. Frame of each of the three mirrors measures 11 1/8" X 11 1/8" Frame is of oak. Mirrors are beveled and in quite decent shape. See first picture- center and right mirror are both very good. The left mirror has slight deterioration but is more than passable for a triptych of this vintage. The backsides are a navy blue embossed paper that was probably shellaced or? to make embossing stand out. Again. Quite a bit of wear but more than passable. Important, the oak frames are excellent. All peg legs intact to stand atop dresser OR nice hanger chain affair for wall mounting. Either way, it is an eyecatcher! Locking clasp fine as well. This auction is for a neat and petite Oak Smokers Stand or Cabinet from Scotland. This is one cute small cabinet. Under the top. An arm swings out that used to hold an ashtray. I would assume it was a metal ashtray, but it did not make the trip from Scotland. It's petite& cute you could put in in any room. In the kitchen, it would make a killer spice cabinet or jelly cupboard. In a den or family room it would make a wonderful candle stand. 19th C. British Victorian Art Nouveau Oak Hallstand Hall Stand Foyer Truly. This is one of the most unusual hall stands that we have ever come across. The wood is solid"tiger" oak and has a carved lion's head at the top and four smaller lion's heads at the tops of each column with the center two columns ending in a cabriole leg and lion's paw foot. It also has incised carving that frames the entire back, finely carved interconnecting scrolls on the back panels and gadrooning on the edge of the top shelf. The brass hooks are original as well as the umbrella pans(painted) at the bottom. What is most unusual about this piece is the Art Nouveau influence in the carvings, especially along the apron of the shelf and the back panels. Art Deco Style Oak Ball & Stick Coat/Hat & Umbrella Stand With Brass Hardware
We are pleased to offer this funky coat rack. This is done in the art deco style. There are no tags with a maker on this piece. We believe this is from the mid to late 40's possibly early 50's. The rack stands 62.56" high. The top has round balls for hanging hats. The balls are attached to three stick style wooden posts that end with matching ball feet. Near the top of the rack there is a large ball in the center of the tripod that holds the piece together. There are three hooks with backplates screwed through the poles and into the ball. The sides of the posts have brass hooks with decorative round scallop edge button backs. These are the pieces that run through the posts into the ball. Three quarters of the way down the rack there are hooks on each pole to hold a chain for the umbrella tray. This section of chain is missing. ... moreThere is a second row of hooks with chains attached to the base plate closer to the bottom. The umbrella plate sits at the base of the tripod. It is made from wood and has carvings and decorative brass accents on the outer rim. There are chains attched to the sides that connect to the hooks on the poles. Antique Mission Oak Plant Stand Arts and Crafts Dark Finish Pedestal
Antique Mission oak plant stand. It has beautiful clean lines and the dark finish quarter sawn oak that this style is famous for. A perfect height for display. But narrow enough to fit in any corner. The stand probably dates from the early 1900's. This piece is in good condition. However the top has warped somewhat over time, as you can see in the pictures. Although it has a nice patina, the finish may not be original and there is some evidence of repairs to the base. There is also a crack in one of the vertical pieces. See picture. Nonetheless, this piece is very stable and strong and does not wobble or tip. This is a very fine solid oak hat stand that is handmade with no nails or fasteners. It measures 13" wide and is 7-3/4" deep. The holder portion is carefully crafted out of oak and is made from two solid pieces of wood that are joined at an angle in the center to create a simple yet elegant symmetrical appearance. There is an indented brim receiver that is attached to the main portion by two turned dowels that are flattened on the bottom that also has an extra protrusion to keep the hat from slipping off the stand. The fork is carefully and neatly mortised into its base and there are no tacks or nails. The inner diameter of the stand between the forks is 11" The stand retains its original finish and has a beautiful dark patina. Finish is nearly perfect. There are no chips or dings in the wood. The bottom has a hole where a copper tray sat but is now missing and the screws holding the bottom in place are replacements that are doing just fine. There is a bit of paint residue to the underside which is curious, as the piece appears to have its original finish. There are some wood separations along the joints. The joints have original slats. Being offered for sale is this Splendid English Victorian Carved Oak Hall Tree/ Umbrella Stand with Carved Winged Dragons circa 1890's. This antique hall tree would make a fabulous foyer/ entrance way piece perfect for having those coats. Wraps, jackets and umbrellas conveniently at the door. We believe this hall tree stand to have its original finish and its original beveled mirror. This hall tree measures 85 inches in height.42 inches wide at widest point and 13 inches deep and weighs approximately 85 lbs. The actual mirror portion measures 23 inches in height by 14 3/4 inches wide.There are 10 original turned oak hall/ hat hooks that each project out 5 inches, and the original square metal drip pans at the base each measure 6 1/ 2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. It is 23 1/4" tall the barrell part is about 13" in diameter 7.5" deep, There is a hole in the bottom of the barrel part I was told this was where the yarn after it was rolled into balls they would put the yarn to come out the bottom? Nt sure of this but it is very well made, There are a few scuff marks, but is in good condition for its age, Please refer to pictures, Thank you for looking. Antique Solid (Painted) Oak Wash Stand With Swivel Mirror
I get most of my items at estate auctions and sell them in an"as found" condition. I do no repairs. Alterations and very little cleaning. This is done in the belief that most buyers prefer to receive them as original as possible. Because the items I sell can come from anywhere. I can't guarantee they all come from smoke free environments. DESCRIPTION: Although the swivel mirror has obviously been a part of the wash stand for a very long time. I don't think it was originally a part of the piece. I'm not sure about that but most wash stands I've seen of this type simply have a towel bar where the mirror is located. The existing towel bar is original but the mirror was simply added to make the stand more functional as a dresser. Except for that and the paint the piece appears to be completely original with all of it's ... morehardwar and it still has it's original porcelain casters. It is solid oak but will need to be stripped to be beautiful again. It is about 30" in length, 15 1/4" in depth and about 29" in height. It is about 63 1/4" in height to the top of the mirror. Please do not ask for this item to be shipped. It is for local pick up only. No exceptions. A handling charge of $1.50 is included in the domestic shipping costs.
