Arts and Crafts Carved Oak Hall Tree with Mirror
One-of-a-kind Arts& Crafts oak hall tree. Bold straight lines frame a large mirror and are masterfully carved with geometric patterns. Carving continues throughout the piece. Including the surfaces of the sides, legs and drawer and framing the overhanging molded top. Complementary decorative brass hangers and drawer pulls. Lower shelf, hooks and drawer allow for plenty of storage, making this a practical piece as well. Sturdy construction including dovetail joints on the drawer. Unsure of exact age, but this piece likely dates from the early 20th century. Overall. The piece is in very good condition. There is some silver loss to the mirror, most noticeably along the lower edge. See picture. There is also some seperation in the joints along the lower shelf. Also pictured. Otherwise, light wear only. The hall tree stands an impressive 90" ... moretall and is 48" wide and 20" deep. 19th C. British Victorian Art Nouveau Oak Hallstand Hall Stand Foyer Truly. This is one of the most unusual hall stands that we have ever come across. The wood is solid"tiger" oak and has a carved lion's head at the top and four smaller lion's heads at the tops of each column with the center two columns ending in a cabriole leg and lion's paw foot. It also has incised carving that frames the entire back, finely carved interconnecting scrolls on the back panels and gadrooning on the edge of the top shelf. The brass hooks are original as well as the umbrella pans(painted) at the bottom. What is most unusual about this piece is the Art Nouveau influence in the carvings, especially along the apron of the shelf and the back panels. Although Art Nouveau(1890's-1910's) was a prevalent style in the U.K. it wasn't ... morea significant influence in furniture making at the time which makes this hall stand even more unique. Simple but beautiful. This is an antique C-1910 Mission Arts& Crafts oak hall tree in great condition. I did lightly sand. Touch the spots with stain and put a coat of vanish on to freshen up the finish. The seat was cracked so that was glued, lightly sanded, and stained with a coat of varnish. The hardware is original, the mirror is original but with spotting and slightly foggy but it gives it a old look. The boards on the sides have gaps(look at the pictures) Sooo this is pretty original. Hi for sale I have an antique pier or hall mirror. The mirror measures: 86" tall x 26" wide x 3 1/2" deep. The style of the mirror looks to be empire victorian. The mirror has beveled glass. Antique Quarter Sawn Oak Hall Tree (Narrow) w/ Beveled Mirror/American REDUCED
This is a very nice antique oak hall tree. I'm not sure of the exact date. But likely very early 1900s. I believe it to be an American made piece. It is made of solid quarter sawn oak. It has been refinished. Pretty carving work at the top. Mirror and hooks appear original. Beveled mirror is in excellent condition with one small area near the top showing de-silvering. Drip pan is missing, but one could be added. Hall tree is in very good to excellent condition overall. A narrow piece for a small area! Offered for sale is this"Wonderful" Quartersawn Oak Hall Seat. This is a very unusual piece with a combination of stick& ball and cut fret work and then a carved oval panel in the back. It has a lift lid seat and a round beveled mirror(it's a replacement) and 4 brass coat hooks. At some point in it's life someone cut about 4 inches off of it's legs, so the front legs have been made new tpo the right lenght and the rear legs have been spliced restoring them to the correct length. This is a beautiful piece that has been refinished and brought back to it's former glory for use in your home. Being offered for sale is this Splendid English Victorian Carved Oak Hall Tree/ Umbrella Stand with Carved Winged Dragons circa 1890's. This antique hall tree would make a fabulous foyer/ entrance way piece perfect for having those coats. Wraps, jackets and umbrellas conveniently at the door. We believe this hall tree stand to have its original finish and its original beveled mirror. This hall tree measures 85 inches in height.42 inches wide at widest point and 13 inches deep and weighs approximately 85 lbs. The actual mirror portion measures 23 inches in height by 14 3/4 inches wide.There are 10 original turned oak hall/ hat hooks that each project out 5 inches, and the original square metal drip pans at the base each measure 6 1/ 2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. The original finish does have wear and shows some loss in areas. And the mirror ... moredoes have some mild cloudiness and streaking as age appropriate. There is an old repair around the head of the winged dragon on the left that appears tight and secure and appears to have been done some time ago.not real noticeable unless close inspection. Oak hall tree with bench seat
This beautiful antique oak hall tree is in great condition. It's been well take care of-polished weekly and dusted with a plain cloth to keep the original color intact. There are no flaws or chips out of the wood but the mirror is aged. The hinges and coat hooks are originals also. It is 33 inches tall to the back of the chair. The seat of the chair is 17 inches from the ground. The back of the chair is 14 inches wide at it's widest point. The seat itself is 17 inches wide in the front and 13 inches wide in the back. The chair is quite old and as such has some condition issues. It has 2 splits on the back that I have tried to take pictures of. One can't be seen at all from the front of the chair. In the case of this chair I would suggest that it be mostly ornamental in nature. Even if this chair were perfect it would not be made to support the average American these days. A small person could sit in this chair with no problems, but I would not suggest ... morethis chair for everyday use. It is really meant to be placed somewhere to look pretty. for auction is a wonderful hall tree or bench. more apt to be called a hall bench due to its size. this is a masculine piece or more fitting for a man's taste i would say. it is very heavy. Well constructed, thick, and strong. it has wonderful quartersaw oak used in its building. the hall bench is 48 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 18 inches from the floor to the top of the seat, and 78 inches tall. it is a true antique, built circa 1890-1910. it has a lift lid with three hinges and has a lot of storage space. as i said it is very well built and has no wiggles or wobbles. i think you could drag it behind a truck and it would stay together. as far as i know it is all original, has great patina with a nutmeg color to it from age and wonderful and abundant quartersawn flake in the boards. the front feet have a spider like appearance to them, ... moresomething not seen often. it has lots of molding and trim all over it as well as a nice shell crest with neat carvings on either side of it. the mirror is probably original but has been resilvered. hall trees this size are hard to come by and are usually pretty pricy. i am starting this one for what i paid years ago. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyer's expense. i can help arrange shipment should that be of benefit to anyone. good luck. i can supply more pictures should anyone desire to see something in more detail.

It is in good shape for it's age with only minor issues. It is pretty sturdy but I would not suggest that this be used on a regular basis. It was not made to be sat in by people that are as big as we are these days. It is very well carved. It measures 36 inches tall and 14 inches wide. The seat measures 18 inches off of the ground. And is 14 inches deep and 14 inches wide. The back rest measures 18 inches tall off of the seat. This is a great chair that will display well in any home. Fantastic Rare Arts & Crafts oak Hall chair SOC Limbert Stickley era Mission
I have only seen one other of these chairs in 22 years of collecting and dealing Arts& Crafts. I believe this is Shop of the Crafters. The original untouched fumed finish is 95+% and this has the original Oil cloth seat with the original hand wrought tacks. This is precisely how I got it from an estate today. There are a few minor things I want to mention for accuracy. There is a natural split on the bottom of the back foot, there was a split on one lobe of the side of the clover cutout on top and a small split on the side of the seat, all of which is easily fixable. The design is strong with many influences. This type of chair rarely comes to the market. Paypal payment due within 3 days. Buyer pays and arranges s/i. I will assist in any way possible. The mirror is beveled and in good condition. This is a beautiful piece and would look wonderful in any home! The approximate measurements are 33 inches wide and 30 inches tall. This is a heavy piece as the wood is a full inch thick. This piece weighs approx. 23 lbs. This a quality piece and you will not be disappointed.
