A Victorian period fireplace mantel and surround is carved of white marble, and includes a cast iron filigree insert with a golden bronze finish. The hearth. Mantel shelf and keystone are removable, the rest of the surround is mounted permanently to a wooden frame underneath, so this is decorative only, not usable for a fire. Sides are wood with faux marble graining. The marble has discolorations and chips plus various repairs and touchups, and has been polished and sealed- see photos. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Clarion. PA Victorian Home. It is all cast iron. The back and sides have daisies all over in varying sizes. The top piece and vent are present. There is light surface rust overall. It measures approx. 28.75 inches wide by 29 inches tall and is 15.25 inches thick. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. The two tabs that hinge the sides to the back are broken.
