It measures 62 inches wide by 84 inches tall and is 11 inches thick. The firebox opening is 47.25 wide by 39.75 tall. Overall it is in good condition. Description This is a great mantel that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. It looks to be made of mahogany and is currently painted white. There is a backsplash with small carvings above the shelf. The shelf itself is curved and trimmed in beaded molding. The legs have carved wreathes and bellflowers. The breast has a carved corbel in the center with great carvings to either side. The carvings are wood. I did a couple of test scrapes as there are many coats of paint. Stripping would bring back the details. It measures 59.5 inches wide. 54.25 inches tall and 11.75 inches deep. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. About Us My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors. Staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job!
