No damages that can be seen with very bright and shiny brass finish! He stands approx. 5" tall with a 4-1/2" wingspan and a 1-3/4" diameter base. We are unsure of the the thread size where a threaded rod would be screwed into. It appears to be 2 separate cast pieces, as there is a screw on the back holding the base to the eagle. This particular piece is unmarked, so we are unsure of who originally made this. We were told when we acquired this finial that this was used at an American Legion hall here in Chicago. Vintage Brass Bronze Eagle Flag Pole Finial Architectural Americana
Up for auction is a vintage brass or bronze eagle flag finial recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition. It is still on a pole which can be removed by unscrewing it from its base. Once unscrewed, there is a 1/4" screw underneath it. I believe the eagle to be brass or bronze, as it will not attract a magnet. It features natural patina, which shows itself as spotting on the sleeve. The wing span is approximately 3 1/2" wide. The eagle is also 3 1/2" tall. A very nice finial. Very nice for reuse or to be used as a finial again. After pulling on the wood for awhile, I finally got it loose. Nice condition having a very small amount of white paint along its bottom on the front that will remove. This is cast in two pieces with the bottom having been threaded to mount on the pole. Antique Pair of Eagle Finials Up for your consideration are these very nice antique eagle finials. There are two sizes: the largest is a standing eagles with wings partially spread. Head turned to the right, standing on a small dome. I think it made be brass or a pot metal, it is not magnetic. I am uncertain if this has been painted over with gold paint at one time, where the paint is chipped I can see the feathers in more detail.would probably look very nice when it is striped. There are cracks in the legs right were the legs begin, they are slightly wobbling but are still intact, should be reinforced. Fine Quality Vintage or Antique Brass Eagle Flag Pole Topper or Finial
This is a high quality vintage solid brass eagle flag pole topper. The casting show great detail. As in for instance in the individual feathers. The piece is in excellent condition with no damage. It appears that it may have been polished some time ago because there appears to be a bit of polish residue in some crevices. But this was done a while ago because the brass has a patina of age. The base part has 3 threaded holes which were used to secure the topper to a pole. The piece measures about 8 1/2 inches tall and 8 inches wide at the wing tips.

For your consideration we have a great vintage eagle flag pole finial. It has a loop in it. This retro finial came from a recent estate auction. All-metal construction. Likely bronze. I am guessing mid-century for this. But cannot be sure. Size: wing tip to wing tip is 5-1/2" Finial height without base is 2-1/2" Base is maybe 5/8" wide and inserts 3/4" in. Condition: GOOD vintage. Some darkening to the original gold finish. A rusty scratch in the base which I believe to be from removing this from a rusty metal pole. Small cracks on the base of the wings from manufacture which do not affect the strength or look of this piece at all. The loop appears a little over-ground when it was dressed during manufacture. Antique solid Brass American Eagle Flag Pole Topper Finial Sculpture Statue 1890
Antique solid cast brass Eagle with two tiered dome caps with ornate cast brass curtain sash all around. The Eagle would have been used as a flag pole or lamp pole topper finial. To me it looks like it may have come off one of those old river boat paddle boats because of the ornate curtain like sash around the domes. The Eagle is cast in the old style. It is a two piece cast. The body and wings are soldered together. It is all brass and the bottom dome is painted black. The opening where the pole would go in is 2" inches across. It is in great shape with great details.

Vintage Brass Eagle Topper. Because of it's size. Looks like it came from a flag pole. It is 11 inches high and 5 inches across the wing tips. The brass base is 4.75 inches across. This is a beautiful vintage Eagle Flag Pole topper that came out of an Estate Sale along time ago. I believe it is cast brass but I am no expert on metals. I have seen some that say cast aluminum but on the bottom where the hole is it definitely looks gold. It weighs a bit over 2lbs and is 11" tall by 5" wide. Large Vintage Brass Eagle Flag Pole Flagpole Topper or Finial with Long Tassels
Up for bids is a large vintage cast brass eagle flagpole topper or finial with attached long gold braided tassels as pictured. The eagle would have sat on top of a flagpole in a county courthouse. VFW, American Legion Post or some other type of fraternal club or organization. It looks like an older piece from the 1950's or 1960's with lots of detail. It stands 8 1/2" high from the opening for the pole to the top of the wings and measures 9 3/8" wide across the tips of the wings. It weighs 2 1/4 pounds with attached tassels that measure 48" long. The inside opening for the flagpole is 7/8" wide. Everything looks to be in good condition with no cracks or breaks but there is some light wear to the finish on the eagle and to the tassels as seen in the pictures.

5 Inch Tall Brass Eagle Flag Topper Finial - Left Facing
Very nice Eagle that I'm guessing was originally a finial for the top of a flag pole. I am pretty sure it is brass; it is heavy. The color is right, and it is non-magnetic. It is in really nice condition. It does have a couple of spots on it that you can see in the photos that may be a bit of corrosion. There is a crack on the back side of the right wing. It does not go deep so it may be a crack in the coating(it cannot be seen from the front) It is just under 5 inches tall and the wing span is also 5 inches. It has a 1 inch diameter hole in the bottom and a 1/2 inch diameter hole in the top. I'm really not sure what the hole in the top is for. I SHIP WITHIN THE UNITED STATES ONLY. Antique Vintage Finial of sorts.I am not sure if this actually came off of a flagpole or something else. It is a super heavy piece weighing 8.35 ounces. It does not stick to a very strong 65 pound magnet. It is approximately 2" tall with a 5 inch wingspan. I can not completely commit to the type of metal. However it appears brass or bronze in color and does not stick to a very strong magnet.I really think it's solid Brass I photographed the bottom of the base putting my camera through a loop because to me it looked like there was a possible marking there.Perhaps a TC? Heavy Brass Eagle Flag Topper Finial for Flag Pole - Old Design 7 inch height
Old School design of Heavy Brass Golden Eagle. Comes with original screw. Salvaged from an stage backdrop at high end theater. Very heavy brass with almost no cast lines that are easily seen. Possibly molded from one piece. The indented bottom portion of the eagle is exactly 2" The depth of sticking a pole into the hole for mounting is 2" as well. From just above the ring before the eagles foot pedestal is exactly 5 inches. The wingspan is 4.5 inch at its largest and the pedestal ring the eagle stands on is 3/4 inch. The more worn portion of the base under the eagles feet and pedestal is exactly 2 inches. Which is the precise depth a pole can hold the finial. The size(diameter) of the hole is 7/8 inch wide.
