Please note: this door has finger joints on the stiles(see pic) Though it is solid wood and not veneered. It looks like these were paint-grade doors that someone had stained instead. These really should be painted! Also,there is a crack near the hole for the lockset(see pic) Here is a 2-panel door removed from an older home. Most likely from the 1950's-60's. The door is in nice overall condition. Though there are scratches, gouges and small holes throughout(see pics) It has a light layer of stain on it, so just a light sanding/hole-filling and it's ready for paint. Any issues with the door are certainly fixable, especially if the door will be painted. Not sure of the wood species but most likely fir or pine. There is no hardware included with the door. Had been used as an interior door. The beveled and textured leaded glass is in an octagonal shape. The door in general has a nice design and is very substantial as it weighs 85 lbs and the wood is thick. Shows some typical wear with some surface scratches. There is light paint residue that should clean up.Nice graining. One hinge is bent. But hardware is intact including the door handles. No lock. 2 hinges were originally installed so that if you wanted to PULL the door open you would grab the door knob on the right hand side. Mortised lock and escutcheon plates included. Hinge side height is 79 1/2" Opening side is 79 1/4" This is the last of four doors I installed in my home. This is an extra door. Door has a nice rich mahogany color to it but needs refinishing. When I purchased them from an antique dealer I was told they came from a demolitioned school house in South New Jersey. Note.
