The door is made of solid pine, has 1 wavy glass lite and 3 raised panels and 1 mail slot. Unfortunately. The glass lite installed is Plexi glass. Absolutely gorgeous vintage solid wood entry door! This is from our Tudor home. Built in 1928, and it is believed to be the original front door(exterior) Not sure of the type of wood, but pretty much everything in the house is white oak, so assuming this is too. The vintage hardware is still attached, but there is no key for the lock. Great restoration project. When fully restored, this door will knock your socks off! Up for your viewing is an awesome Antique Victorian Ornate Solid Wood Exterior Entry Door w/Etched Glass that I purchased from an estate auction. It is white on one side and white and pink on the other side. The door is solid and glass is good. Has several layers of paint which is cracking and chipping. It does not have door handles but does have the door handle plate on one side and the original hinges. Measurements are approx. 79-1/4" tall x 31-2/4" wide x 1-3/8" thick. The glass panel is 34" tall x 22-1/2" wide. I have provided several pictures to view and consider them to be as part of the description. Penn Antique Restoration. 32"x76" Vintage Exterior Door w/3 Glass Lites& 3 Panels. Sturdy. Antique, exterior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. It's made of either solid pine or Douglas Fir, and features 3 glass lites and 3 panels. When most people hear"pine" they think of a cheap. Weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Height: The door's height was unevenly cut by 1/4" The cut was most likely made to compensate for a settling foundation or an old warped floor. We could cut it to an even 76" Shorter, or even build it up to make it taller-Email us for a quote. ... moreHardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware to outfit any of these doors(check out our eBay store) If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of wood. 2 Antique Turn-of-Century Doors Interior Exterior 6 Pane Solid Wood Brass Hinges
For your consideration: FREE SHIPPING: For local pickup only. Two vintage doors and some vintage door hardware for one sale. These items came from a lake house my daughter renovated. A kind ebayer with knowledge of these types of knobs and locks offered that the glass pane door may be from circa 1900-1910. The first is an exterior door and been painted green on one side and is natural or stained on the other. It has one half of the hinge unit still attached and the other is gone. It is solid wood with 6 glass panes measuring approx. 6 ¾” x 16” and the dimensions of the door are approx. 79 ¼” tall x 30 ½” wide x 1 5/16” thick. It could use a slight amount of repair and perhaps refinishing but appears to be rock solid. The brass knob hardware works fine from both sides but there is no skeleton key. The second is an interior 2 ... morepanel door and is natural or stained on both sides. All brass hinge assemblies are there for both on the door and jamb sides It also is solid wood measuring approx. 78” tall x 32” wide x 1 5/16” thick. It could use a slight amount of repair at the bottom left of one side but this appears superficial. You could also refinish it if you wish. It also appears to be a heavy and nice old door. The brass knob hardware works fine from both sides but there is no skeleton key for this door either. Finally. A group of brass hinge hardware that you can analyze from the photos and please use the zoom feature to see hem closely. It appears there are two sets complete with pins and 2 jamb side only with only 1 pin. Because of their age. Obviously I cannot detail every single characteristic good or bad of these doors so please be ready to accept them as-is upon pickup. However. I believe the doors look so much better in person than the photos can depict, and if you are not completely sure if they will work for your improvement project, I will offer a no-risk evaluation. FINE VINTAGE EXTERIOR/ INTERIOR SOLID WOOD DOOR W/ BEVEL& TEXTURED GLASS# 43 with 8 small Jewels. Size: 35.75" wide x 83. high x 1.75" thick. 85 lbs. A very heavy duty door that shows average wear. Had been used as an interior door. The beveled and textured leaded glass is in an octagonal shape. The door in general has a nice design and is very substantial as it weighs 85 lbs and the wood is thick. Shows some typical wear with some surface scratches. There is light paint residue that should clean up.Nice graining. One hinge is bent. But hardware is intact including the door handles. No lock. There are two panes with cracks as shown. 8 small jewels. Good looking door that just needs a little TLC.
