Pocket doors salvaged from a historic home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Each door has a solid cherry core with 1/4" oak veneers on one side and 1/4" cherry veneers on the other, has 3 panels(1 recessed& 2 raised) and 2 long etched glass lites. Unfortunately. One of the etched glass lites is broken. I do not think that it could be replaced, but we could order a new glass lite(i.e. beveled. Tempered, leaded, stained, etc. and install it- email us for a quote. Hardware: The doors are currently not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store and tons more in our physical store. Each door is made of solid cypress, and has a full-length lite and applied molding on the exterior side. Cypress is the wood of the South because of its rot-resistant quality. It's a soft wood, but it is quite durable. The glass is flat. If you prefer beveled glass. Email us and we'll get you a quote to order and install. Stripping& Repair: At the point of salvage. The doors were completely covered under many layers of paint. Since then, we've stripped the paint and sanded the doors. There were also some breaks. Each door is made of solid cypress, and features 1 half-length glass lite and 2 raised panels. Cypress is the wood of the South because of its rot-resistant quality. It's a soft wood. But it is quite durable. Stripping: At the point of salvage. The doors were completely covered under many layers of paint. Since then, we've stripped the paint and sanded the doors.
