Weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. The door is made of solid pine and features 2 removable panels. One of the panels has 12 wavy glass lites and the other has a screen. All of the glass lites are intact on the window panel, but the screen is ripped on the other panel. We can replace the screen with either a copper or vinyl screen- Email us for a quote. Whimsical Antique 32" Eastlake Exterior Door with Window, c. 1880 NED303
A charming antique Eastlake exterior door with a glass window. Salvaged out of a home in Indianapolis that was built in the 1880's. The top of the door features three inset square panels with carved roundels at their centers. Below the half pane of glass sits a horizontal panel adorned with carved floral details and six matching inset square panels. This Eastlake door is in very good antique condition with the expected wear, as pictured. It has chippy off-white paint on one side, and is stained a beautiful dark brown on the other; the glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks.
