Restored and refinished in an attempt to bring out their original workmanship, appearance and to make the set fully functional as well as to preserve it for future use. The lock mechanism measure 3 ½” high by 2 ¾” deep and 1/2” in thickness. The solid brass face plate attached to the lock mechanism measures 5 5/8” high by 7/8” wide by 3/16” thick. Included in this lot is a set of crystal like 12 point glass door knobs with spindle that are in remarkable condition and are void of any cracks or chips but. A very small and almost unnoticeable“flea bite” was detected and does not detract from the use or appeal of the item. Two door escutcheons with mounting screws are also included with a strike plate that also includes mounting screws. Also included are two individual strike plates with mounting screws. One each for the“dead bolt” and one for the“catch bolt” Add this attractive and fully functional set from the past to a current collection or display the items to create or enhance a particular decorating theme or project. The items can also be used to replace defective hardware currently in use. Please note. Most all oils and lubricates were removed during the restoration process so, if the intent is to use the item and not for display purposes, it will need to be lubricated. Lot of three(3) sets of Antique Victorian Style Door Knobs with back plates and lock mechanism. Two sets have oval shaped brass knobs with lock mechanisms. The other set has brass knobs and cast/metal back plates with no lock mechanism. Oval knobs are approx. 3" long x 1 3/4" wide. Door Plates are approx. 8" long x 2" wide. 48 Vintage / Antique Glass and Brass Door Knobs Plus 3 Locks
Up for auction are 48 very nice vintage glass door knobs. All of them appear to be the same pattern in the glass and about the same size. Which is about 2" in diameter. These knobs are all in good condition with no chips or cracks in the glass. They all seem to be brass with the exception of a couple which are steel and somewhat rusted. The connecting rods are also steel and show rust. There are also 3 locks included. These knobs and locks are"as found" and have not been cleaned in any way, so expect to see some paint spots, rust, tarnish, wear, and missing set screws here and there. It appears that most all of them will clean up nicely. I have provided plenty of pictures, so use the zoom feature and look at them closely before bidding. You are bidding on a Vintage Lot of Lock Sets. There are three sets in this lot. They are all metal. They look like they came off a 1 3/4 to 2 inch thick door. The plates measure 2 5/8 X 8 inches. There is a 1 X 2 1/4 inch area where the plates extend out near the lock. That side is marked with a WB. The other side has an area that the plate extends 1 7/8 X 2 1/4 inches. Old Reclaimed Vintage Brass/Metal Door Knobs, Locks, Architectural Salvage
Lot of 6 pieces of vintage reclaimed door knobs and drawer pulls The brass door knob and lock combination still works however I do not have the key. The black metal door knob and lock combination has a key and still works but could use a little grease! the 2 door knobs that are metal has a screw broken off- see pictures. Vintage Yale & Towne Indoor Mortis Door Locks with White Porcelain Door Knobs
Pair of Matching Yale& Towne Mfg. Co. Vulcan Mortis Locks(models J23& J25) With 4 matching white porcelain door knobs and spindles. No keys or door plates. Door knobs are old with obvious wear, scratches, slight stains and what appears to be crackling on one of the knobs. Lot of 8 Antique ca.1900 Corbin Metal Door Locks, Knobs, Plates + Parts Vintage
This auction is for a lot of 8 antique. Ca. 1900, Corbin door locks with doorknobs and face plates, plus 2 Corbin locks, 2 double doorknobs, 2 door knobs, and 2 extra face plates. All are from the historic"Coal Heritage Trail" building in Landgraff. West Virginia built in 1922 by Empire Coal& Coke Company as their"Miner's Clubhouse" now the Elkhorn Inn) These locks are apparently older than the building. Which was built to replace wooden buildings on this site. We removed these door locks and knobs while restoring the building. They are all metal. And were painted; some of the face plates are slightly warped, and they need to be cleaned; there may be some rust. All are functional and appear to work. Selling as-is. Vintage Antique Black Porcelain Door Knobs w Locks& Back Plates Set of 4 PLUS 1 brass door knob and 1 ILCO deadbolt lock. All of these items are from my home(built in 1909) and. I assume, were original and replaced as part of its rehab in the 90's(before my ownership) to replace the 1900's hardware with more modern stuff. Shame. Nice lot of original 12 point glass door knobs. Set o six with one to spare and their rods. Two locks. One with skeleton key, rusty, but funtional. Most are chip and crack free.I believe there are two very small chips. Also included are 8 plates and 7 brass knobs. Single glass knob comes with antique metal thumb knob or lock part. LOT of Assorted Vintage Brass Door Knobs, Escutcheons, Keyholes & Window Locks
The only items that take a magnet in the lot are those that appear in the upper right hand corner of the main photo. These are the 21 spindles and 6 escutcheons. The window locks do have a metal washer as part of the locking latch. None of the other items in the lot take a magnet. There are 32 door knobs. Each weighs about 5oz; 19 with a round collar, 10 with a square collar and 3 with no collar(see photo of the three types) There are 31 escutcheons, 10 window locks, 16 window strikes, 17 keyholes and 12 strike plates. In the center of the main photo are the 3 black painted plates, with 2 different escutcheons and two other items. There is a photo of these 7 items. Some of the items have been painted or have splatter. Looks as if a number of the items in the lot where polished and then had lacquer applied. Not all of the knobs have set screws. ... moreTwo of the knobs and escutcheons have a non brass coating which has worn and shows a brass base.
