Antique Old Vintage Lot of 7 Glass Doorknob Sets Door Knob Art Deco victorian
Old Vintage Lot of 7 Glass Doorknob sets. This set includes 14 glass handles. 8 round handle trim pieces, and 7 Dexter insides. Most of the auctions listed do not include the trim pieces or backplates. I even have the old brass screws. two screws are new and not brass. Each of the glass handles as well as the round face plates measures approximately 2" in diameter. The inside parts are 4-1/4" long while engaged. All of the glass is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. I only noticed one scuff. They do need cleaning. Please note paint marks on the glass as well as the metal pieces. It can be removed I checked. I would consider them excellent condition. Also some slight tarnish to the Dexter parts. One knob is the star pattern and not the round style. It also appears newer. The matching back plate with it is also newer ... moreand a different style. I would suggest putting mismatched knob on the inside of a closet door or a basement door. My house has all the star ones but I actually prefer the look of the round ones. The are mirrored backed. Im sure they could be polished to new looking condition These locks should last you a lifetime. They also lock from the inside. These should also work in a mortise style lock. Blue Iron Doorknob Set Victorian Egg-and-dart
Blued cast iron. Like blued gunmetal. very fine condition showing no rust or abuse. Minimal surface rust on spindle& screw. The plates measure 2-1/4" x 6-3/4" and are a quarter inch thick. Not counting the ferrule, which is bronze. Screw holes are 15/16" apart on center(across) and 5-7/16" apart on center(top-to-bottom) Keyholes are just over 11/32" in height. Knobs are 2-1/4" diameter. And the spindle length will fit this set to a door up to 2-1/2" thick(min. is the standard 1-3/8" thick) The spindle is the usual quarter-inch square size. This set is heavy. Being of cast iron rather than pressed steel or brass. We wish had more of these. Thanks for your interest.

Vintage DECORATIVE Brass SARGENT Working DOORKNOB MECHANISM w/ VICTORIAN HANDLE
This is for the lock set you see here. This is for the set you see here. Very old. But not sure just how old. I have no real knowledge of the age. I assume that it works just fine, but I have no key. The latch moves in and out with ease! You can see a long matching door handle. I believe it is pewter, or cast aluminum. Not positive. And, I can only assume that it works fine. I am not positive how all of this goes together. I got it at an estate sale as it is in these photos, so I have not seen it put together. The handle itself is 9-5/8" long. I assume it is all the way it should be, but cannot tell if there was a piece cut off(photo#10) This is a very beautiful, and heavy, vintage set. An awesome set! OTHER SETS IN MY OTHER AUCTIONS. Victorian Ornate Cast Bronze Doorknob - Beautiful Patina
I did not clean this as I did not want to destroy its antique patina. I will let you care for it best. Embossed with a very pretty design, it does have a few dings as can be seen in photos. Normal size measuring about a 2 1/2" diameter. I ship quickly!

Penn Antique Restoration. Pair of Antique Eastlake Cast Bronze Doorknobs. Stunning. Antique, door knobs salvaged from Northeastern Illinois. Each knob is made of solid, heavy, thick, cast bronze-not plated iron. The pair comes with 1 standard 1/4" thick spindle(connecting rod) and 2 setscrews. Each knob has sunken center. And an intricate pattern on both front and back sides. The designs are complemented by a rich, dark patina, which we opted to leave. The knobs had some paint, which we carefully removed without disturbing the patina, however, there is still some green paint on one of the knobs, and a few other small spots of paint that we couldn't remove without compromising the patina.
