These are Chinese handmade(mortise and tenon) lattice screen corbels. The corbels have signs of use/wear. But are in really good condition with a medium reddish brown mahogany finish. A wonderful pair of matching antique wooden Victorian corbels. Or gingerbread as some call it. These were salvaged from New Bedford, Massachusetts. These have original paint and patina. They measure approximately 15 1/2" x 12" and are 2 1/4" thick. One has a little damage to the top. Which any carpenter or woodworker can round off, do the same to the other, and make them both match exactly. The other one has a bit of a chunk out of the bottom, near the side, which can easily be filled. See all photos. These are substantially weighty pieces- the real deal. Coming to you original. They measure 24 inches tall by 17 inches long by 3 5/8 inches wide. They are somewhat dirty and would clean up quite nicely, or could strip them and add fresh paint. The wood is quite solid and there are no soft areas or rot. The one side looks like it was exposed to some heat, but it is only on the very surface and really did not hurt the corbels. Here are two gorgeous examples of Victorian wood trim in beautiful condition. I am no expert on antiques or architectural salvage. But I did a little research and hope I am using the right terminology. These have been at my parents' home for years if not decades. I grew up in an old house in the 1960s and they may have intended to put them on it, but never did, so they've been safely inside all this time. It's time someone put them to use as shelf brackets, book ends, decorative trim or whatever you can dream up! They measure 14" x 12" and are about 1" wide. Wonderful matching pair of antique wooden corbels. They are coated in old. Green paint that is a little chippy. Each corbel measures 18 inches long, 11 1/8 inches deep and 3 1/2 inches wide. These have good detailing and curves. The tops are perfectly flat and ready to serve as a base for a shelf, etc. Also, the corbels have mounting brackets already attached to the backs. May need light sanding in ereas. Someone has spent many hours with professional tools removing the layers of paint from these. You can still see some of the old paint in a few ereas. Cracks where the wood was glued together. Measures approx. 24 5/8" long x 5 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" deep at the deepest point. Sold as is as found with no warranty's.

Antique Vintage 4 Matching Solid Wood Salvage Architectural Corbels
These are 4 matching corbels which are in very good condition. They have no missing parts and no rotten wood with only normal wear due to age. They are made from solid wood and weigh about 3 1/4 pounds each. Can be used for any architectural project that you might have. They measure 16 1/2" high. 4 1/2" wide by 5" deep at the widest point. I really do not know the age of these corbels, but for safety purposes, I did remove large cut nails which were used to fasten them to the house, I hope this helps with dating them. PAIR LARGE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE WOOD CORBELS CHIPPY PAINT
Please scroll down under this description for additional views. Large pair of architectural exterior corbels from a Victorian house. One is slightly taller than the other which is only noticeable when they are side-by-side. One is 20" tall while the second one is 20 1/2" tall. Both are 11" deep and 5 1/4" wide. Constructed from five laminated 1" thick solid pine boards. The outermost board on each side are jigsaw cut away to add design and depth, the fronts alternate the depth of the profile slightly to add interest straight on. There is such a build-up of old paint that the faces almost look coated with stucco but its just newer paint over old chippy alligatored paint. Very sturdy, these will definitely make a design statement whether you set them on a mantel, hearth or table or use them as shelf supports. Each one ... moreweighs 15 1/2 pounds so consult an expert if you intent to hang them on a wall. Minor losses to the back sides and edges. Our photos will be up by the end of the day. These 2 mid 1800 wood corbels have at one time been put together to make one piece. I purchased it in New Hampshire like this in the early 90's. There are 2 small hangers on the back and I used it as a small shelf. It is 20" wide. 11 1/2" long and 4" deep. It is heavy weighing over 6 lbs. It has all it's original paint so please note the condition in the pictures. It is AS IS. This is a unique piece of Americana. It comes from a smoke free house.
