Up for bid are two Antique Steel Corbel Brackets that were found in a house that was being remodeled. The house dated from 1892 so these could be from that period forward. The photos show the corbels to be pink in color. However they are off white in color. These corbels are made of steel and are hollow. There is only slight surface rust here and there on the corbels; no holes from rust nor none starting. They would clean up quite well with some paint stripping material applied. Each bracket spans 26-1/4" long across the soffit or frieze portion of your porch at a height of about 14-15" down from the frieze or soffit. Each bracket is approximately 1-3/4 to 2" thick and is painted with several coats of white paint. Most are in exceptional condition for their age, believed to be from the mid to late 1800's, though there are a few, which have a missing piece of wood here or there. But originally they were decorative brackets for the exterior of the Victorian home. These probably date to late 1800’s or very early 1900’s. Condition is good on these for the age and use. Gorgeous ornate decorative brackets that came from a home that was built in the 70's. They are made out of some kind of metal possibly aluminum but sturdy like cast iron. Color is antique white. There is a big A with 3 other letters in a circle. One has the number 1 and 12R on it and the other has a 2 and a 12R. I was planning on using these on my front porch but went with a totally different design scheme. Here you have six corbels that were handmade and found at an estate sale. They are made of wood. A soft wood, not sure what kind. They would need a good coating of stain/primer and painted. or leave unfinished. I really love the design on these, a really nice pattern. It would look great for shelving but would need some material to fatten them up a little. 2 Antique Architectural Salvage Wooden Porch Brackets Corbels for Porch Posts
For sale in this auction is a pair of porch brackets or porch corbels for decoration next to a porch post. These are off of a 100 year old house porch that was being torn down. They are made out of wood and most of the paint is gone. They measure approximately 14 inches long on the longest side and 12 inches long on the other side. They are approximately 3 1/4 inches wide on the back side. The tallest part of the decoration measures approximately five and half inches tall. They do have wear. Some cracking, lots of cobwebs and one corner has damage more than the rest. I tried to show that in the pictures. Here are a set of 4 antique victorian pine architectural corbel porch post brackets. They are 10 1/8 by 12 1/8 and 1 3/8 thick. They are shabby dingy white. Could use as porch posts. Decorating, shelve brackets etc. They are architectural salavge, so there are blemishes and wear. It looks like they have been painted several times. You are buying as is. The gallery picture or the picture where they are standing up with the stones underneath is the one that is the closest to their actual color. Gorgeous pair of salvaged porch brackets acquired from a demolition of an old farm house said to have been built in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Please see the pics for condition and measurements. They look to have multiple layers of paint. Both brackets are structurally sound but as one photo indicates. The paint has separated between the L bracket and fretwork. This lot is a group of four old gingerbread porch brackets. Each one measures about 12" on the long side and 10" on the short side. By a little over 1-1/4" thick. I have photographed both sides of all four brackets. As you can see, there's dirt, dust, cobwebs, nail holes, and some chipped out areas, but all of the brackets are usable. One acorn is missing. Should be easy to make. Everything else is easily repairable with some putty& paint. None of them has ever been painted. You get all four pieces for one bid! Pair Vintage 1870's Victorian Wood Porch Corbel Brackets Architectural Salvage
You will receive the corbels shown. Removed from our Victorian home during remodel project. Home was built starting around 1868 and not completed until approx. 1871. Corbels are hand made. Square nail construction using oak and other mixed woods. Measurements are approx. 13 3/4" tall 10 1/2" extended out and 6" wide at top. I show plenty of photos, please use the zoom to see condition. I will wrap corbels in paper and place bubble wrap and packing peanuts in box for shipping. Some paint chips may come off during shipping.
