Antique Wooden Decorative Trim/Corner Squares--for baseboard--stained lot of two
Antique decorative pieces taken out of 1875 house. I know the ones like this are called coins they have the round circle in the middle but not sure what these are called. I have bent the nails back as you may want to cut them off. Very decorative with the three wood dots-flower or sunburst in the middle. They measure 10-1/4" long x 5" in width x a depth of approx. 1-1/4" They will need cleaned up and the one has a piece of metal nailed on it but the sunburst under it is ok. You will have to fill the nail hole in.

Antique Victorian Wooden Carved Winged Griffin From Old Building in Central WI
Ornately carved antique oak winged griffin. It is in excellent condition. I found this piece about 15 years ago in Central Wisconsin. It had been removed from an old public building that had been torn down for a shopping center. I have had it displayed in my office since then. But it is time to continue our downsizing and let someone else enjoy it. I am glad I was able to help preserve this piece.it is really nicely done. It is classic gothic style with wings, a crown and a curved tail. It is a heavy piece that weighs about 7 pounds. It appears to have been carved from three pieces of wood. The bottom has two holes that must have been used in the original mounting. Antique Victorian Wooden Corbel 1800's
Corbel measure 5.25" W x 9" D x 13.25" H The original finial got removed from this corbel long before i acquired the house that it came from. I replaced it with a new finial of a similar size. I did not glue the finial in place because you might want to strip the corbel first. Or choose not to use it at all. There is a strip of wood missing from the front trim piece, exposing the old square nails used for attaching the trim to the corbel.

Such old corbels in this design are a rare find. As these will hold a tapestry or curtain rod or you can weave a drape through the circular opening. You can also set a shelf on top. Former owner states that the corbels are originally from France. Circa 1900. They are rendered from wood and have remnants of old paint showing under the old gold paint on top. Some wear commensurate with age. A little chipping, rubs, etc. and if you look closely you can see small areas of little chips having been repaired in a couple places, there are some cracks. Splits, etc. Please see images-both are structurally sound. All the imperfections only add charm and authenticity. The plywood backs with hooks are a later addition for hanging easily on the wall. Lovely Pair of Antique Wooden Corbels or Brackets
Two very nice decorative wooden brackets or corbels. I'm not sure what they are or what they came off of or even how old they are. They look Victorian to me. But I am no expert. They would be pretty in the corners of a long doorway or bookcase, holding up shelves, or on a fireplace. They measure about a foot and half at the longest point. There are a few minor scuffs, and one piece is a little loose on top, but overall they are nice solid pieces. For sale in this auction is a pair of porch brackets or porch corbels for decoration next to a porch post. These are off of a 100 year old house porch that was being torn down. They are made out of wood and most of the paint is gone. They measure approximately 14 inches long on the longest side and 12 inches long on the other side. They are approximately 3 1/4 inches wide on the back side. The tallest part of the decoration measures approximately five and half inches tall. They do have wear. Some cracking, lots of cobwebs and one corner has damage more than the rest. I tried to show that in the pictures. These two corbels up for sale this week are from the east coast and ended up in a suburb of Chicago. Hinsdale which is a quite prestigious area. I was told they were going to be used in a"painted lady" but the deal fell apart, and these folks needed no more corbels. They are huge measuring 28 by 19 and show great weathering. Here are(2) antique architectural wooden corbels. They have intricate carved details and a very nice older patina(please see photos) They measure 20" high/ 7" to 11-1/2" deep/ 2' to 2-3/4" wide. They are missing(5) round medallion pieces. You can see where they were. By the lighter areas on the photos. These could be blended into the surrounding areas or left as is.
