Up for bids is this old clock works from a kitchen clock. It is marked Waterbury Clock Co. Also marked 6 1/2 inch. Seems complete other than a pendulum. Springs look good. Has the face. Which has some paint around the brass edges, the alarm mech and bell, the chime bellstriker thing, and the main works. Comes with all or most of the screws. The face is approx 6 3/8 across. The finish on it is crazed and wore a bit. Slight dent on rim of face. The works looks complete and the governor will spin when the hands are turned.It also will strike a few times. Up for your consideration is a Lady Liberty Mantle Clock. Art Deco, Lux Clock M'G, Co. Waterbury, Conn.16" tall. About 5 lbs. 5 oz. Had to have my brother check this one out. I could not get it open. Didn't know the maker until he got it apart. Also he knew a bit about this clock, he said it was name the Lady Liberty. Also what metal this is. Does have wear, a lot of the great gold gilding is worn off, looks very vintage. The springs and the gears look pretty good. I do not know if this was cleaned if it would work. Hopefully that is all that is needed. There is a little bit of rust, and does need cleaning. The paper face has stains, as you can see in the pictures. What else can i say about this? Besides. this is AS IS. I am unsure as to what the issues may be, it does not appear to be over wound, and at one point I heard it ticking briefly, and the pendulum does not swing only when you give it a push, so it does need work! case looks good, clock face is shown, and has condition issues, the pictures do show this well, and it is a Good Sized Clock, at the middle height, I measure it at about 21 3/4 inches give or take, and it has the Nicely decorated glass door, No issues there, No cracks etc. opens and closes fine. ont eh lower clock face it says this- MADE IN U.S.A.
