These movements were Seth Thomas' very high end performers and where also used in their railroad clocks. The dial is engraved and silvered and is very clean. The clock movement is all housed in a solid heavy cast brass case with hinged plate glass bezel and keyed door lock.

Here for auction is as exquisite an antique clock as you will find. This is a gorgeous Seth Thomas Beehive Clock that was made for Jas R. Armiger of Baltimore. The clock has a 48R movement probably made in Germany at the Turn of the Century. The case is absolutey beautiful with wonderful inlay and genuine purfling. I believe the included key and pendulum are original. As far as I can tell the clock is completely original and in extremely fine working condition. The glass face is the most special piece of heavy beveled glass or crystal. The clock stands approximately 10 2/3" tall. The coil gong has the most warm sound. This is a nickel cased rare Seth Thomas 8 bells ships bulkhead clock. The clock strikes the ships watch as in 8 bells and all is well. With this clock all is well as it both strikes and keeps time correctly. These very interesting clocks were made by Seth Thomas the maker of excellent quality clocks in America. The nickel case is in exceptionally good condition with just one small mark to the bezel as can be seen in the pictures. Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine Clock"Marken" Offering a rare and lovely antique Seth Thomas 8 day adamantine mantle clock which is known as the"Marken. This circa 1904 beauty. Strikes the hour on a gong and the half-hour on a delightful cup bell. The clock case has an adamantine golden oak finish. This is contrasted with mahogany columns. Trim and top. This is complimented by bronze colored lion heads, column bases and capitals and fancy feet. These metal parts appear to have been painted and appear more copper gold than bronze. This clock was rescued from a home still in the process of cleaning out. It has been sitting in the home for several years untouched but has been claimed to be functional since it's last use. This Seth Thomas clock has wear and scuffs on the wood mostly in the back. It is in decent condition for the most part. As for functionality I am limited in my knowledge of clocks. I was able to tighten the coil with the clock key I found inside of the clock. I attached the pendjelum and when it swung it seemed to be moving the minute hand like intended. I can not really get into the clock to see the movement since it is all screwed in. Please consider the clock AS IS. It will probably need a good tune up and some TLC.
