Up for auction is an antique pressed oak gingerbread style kitchen mantle or shelf clock. It is 22 in. high. 14 1/2 in. wide and 5 in. deep. The face is marked Made by The E. Ingraham Co. Bristol, Conn. U.S.A. The movement is marked E. Ingraham Co. Bristol, Ct. U.S.A. There is a 2 and 16 on either side of the mark, which stands for Feb. 1916 when the clock movement was manufactured. There is a newer key included which fits and works fine. The clock runs fine, but stops after running awhile. It gongs on the hour and the half hour. This auction is for an antique Gingerbread style oak mantel clock. I believe from the 1890's, marked on the face: SETH THOMAS- MANUFACTURED IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA- marked on the interior label: MANUFACTURED BY THE SETH THOMAS CLOCK CO. THOMASTON, CONN. Please see pictures for the label on the back. This classic old clock is still in very good condition overall in my opinion. The clock spring will wind up fine and it will run for 3 to 4 hours before stopping and then a little nudge on the pendulum will start it back up. The chimes will sound when the arms are manually moved around but they do not chime when the clock is running on its own. The chime spring is wound tight and seems stuck. I am fairly certain this clock only needs a little Clean, Lube and Adjustment for full function. There is a little splinter missing on the oak ... moreveneer on the lower right wing and otherwise the clock cabinet is also in very good condition. The label on the back is a little chipped in the middle area and some little pieces seem glued back on. I start this clock and it run for a while and then stops but I didn't have it lever but it might need clean or some repair? But it did Chime on the 1/2 hour on the hour. It has some etc hing of some Birds and Flowers and some other stuff on the glass. It does have some small spots of paint on it and it is missing two brackets on the back that help holes the top on and has some dust on it just like I bought it. I didn't take the face off to get the date I seen it through the key hole I'm sure it is June 18. 1882. You will get the clock that is pictured. I don't know alot about it, but it is working, seems to be in excellent condition, and is very very old. I listed this one just like one that I saw sell for around $200, and I'm not sure that one even worked! The pendulum swings like it is supposed to, it has the key to wind it up, the alarm went off while I was messing with it, or it may have been that it was on midnight and chiming, not sure. It also chimes every so often and makes a few different sounds, like a clock like this should, it is awesome! And again, it seems to work perfect! The casing is wooden, I believe it is rosewood, has beautiful carvings on it, the glass on the front has good looking etchings. The clock has lots of markings on the back, see pics. I did not clean it cause I didn't want to mess with the originality, this ... moreis a very very old clock, an I can't believe that it actually works! The clock stands 22" tall and is 15" wide. You may have to wind the clock again to get it started. To do this, you simply use the key, and turn the screws on the clock face. They both turn in towards each other. And I turned the bottom gold key to see what it did, not sure what that does. But in sure if your a clock collector, you should know how to work this one. I will ship this in a box wrapped in bubble wrap. And shipped with peanuts, either by Parcel post or Priority mail, whichever is the most reasonable, but either way, it should arrive safely. Up for auction is an old Oak Mantel Clock. I purchased this clock from an antique dealer in 1969. He said he had recently done some work on it to get it running. It is an 8 day movement with a key to wind. I ran it for about 20 years. I then moved it to a location that was very high and I couldn't reach it to wind it so I just left it set as a decorator. I have not wound in the last 25 years. It may need a small amount of tweaking. There wasn't anything wrong with it when I stopped winding it. It is very decorative with lots of gingerbread on it. That's why I loved it. It measures 25" h by 15" long by 5" wide. On the brass bezel at the top is engraved. Pat'd Feb.11. 1879.

this is a beautiful elaborate clock. Its case has a lot of elaborate decoration giving it a great character and coated with its original lacquer. It's a Sessions as labeled on back the movement and dial. it is in Very good condition see condition above. very warm color and gorgeous intricate design. This clock is running and striking very well. The glass has a gold pattern which lifts the clock even more. The distinctive pendulum is also finely patterned brass and so suitable to the look of the rest of the clock. It is striking the hours. Counting out the hours on the hour on its resonating cathedral coil gong. It goes for 7 days or more after winding fully and is supplied with a key. GOOD LUCK! Up in this auction is a great antique clock from the late 1800's. This is an E. Ingraham Bristol. Conn kitchen/ mantle/ parlor/ shelf gingerbread alarm clock. We tested the clock and the chimes and it chimes the number of the hour and runs fine. It has a solid rosewood case, an etched ornate glass door. The face has yellowed with age and the brass trim has some oxidation. It measures approx. 20 3/4" high and 14 3/4" wide. This is a drop dead gorgeous clock. We found the following history on the clockguy site on the internet(GREAT SITE! E. Ingraham& Company was formed in 1860. Succeeding several earlier clock-manufacturing firms in which casemaker Elias Ingraham had been involved, notably Brewster& Ingrahams(1843-1852) E. A.
