Nice Antique Teutonia German Mantle Shelf Clock - Time and Strike - Works Good
We have up for sale a nice old German shelf clock. Has been running in our house. There is no glass on face. There is paint scuffs on case and looks like the little knob on top of case has been reglued. On back of case there is a label saying Teutonia Clock Manufactory. Under trademark shows Made in Baden. Under that is the word Warranted, then P.H.S, then it is numbered(can make out only 351) The P.H.S stands for Phillip Haas& Sohn. There is another label at the top on back of case saying(name) Jeweler and Silversmith established(unreadable) then Hemel Hemstead. There is small damage to the wood on case where this label is(as shown in pic) On the movement there is a mark with P.H.S with a rabbit above it. Comes with pendulum and key. Vintage 50's Schatz German Mantle Clock all Brass and etched Glass
Wonderful old clock which has been in storage for 10 years. I remember it working but I have no clue how to start it. Early 50's and made by Schatz in Germany. I am selling it as is. It may need some repair, I simply do not know. Case and works are all brass. 3 Panels of Glass is etched and beveled. All perfect. Clock is 8" high and 5" wide. You are bidding on this DRESDEN. Antique desk/ Alarm Clock from Germany, in full functioning condition. This piece is also in an EXCELENT cosmetic and functioning condition! Having a windable movement which keeps accurate time. The most special about this clock is off course it's appearance; which is created by the use of marble and lots of brass. The green base and roof come in marble. Making this time piece very heavy for its size. The side pieces and"pillars" come in brass showing a nice patina. The ball on top of the clock is also made of marble with another top on which comes in brass. Definately this clock had to have the appearance of a church/ chapel! In front you find a facated glass window without any scratches. The colours of the marble are SO bright. This beauty is running great. Keeps accurate time and the alarm ... morealso works as it should. The alarm is set by moving the alarm handle to the present time. Then you wind the alarm handle and have to set it on the time you want it to go off. This way it goes off at the chosen time. The clock measures 21cm high x 11cm wide It has Made in Italy stamped on the metal base. On the clock face it has the words. Lauris' in running writing. It also has West Germany written twice on the clock face, ne is embedded into the gold ornately carved middle area and the second West Germany is written in black at the lower base of the clock face. Junghaus Mantle mechanical hand-made German clock
This German made clock was made during the WWII period of a hard wood. Probably Walnut. It is in working order although need to be calibrated and the time is about 10 minutes slow. the original key is included and tape on the rear of the door. It has some minor imperfections and flaws. But otherwise perfectly balanced and in good condition, considering it’s age. Please bid accordingly. It is a vintage clock sold AS IS. The sound on the bell is beautiful and this is a sold German made precision mechanical movement clock. It is not battery operated.

Up for auction is a superb antique 19th century German wood mantle clock by KC Co. Features an inlay pattern to the top. Four ribbed columns, rounded feet, beveled glass window, and a metal dial with an engraved floral motif. Fine detail and the chimes sound beautiful. Chimes on the hour and every quarter hour. Comes with a key. Clock is in very good condition with some wear and patina to the dial, minor surface wear, one little worn spot to the front bottom left, age to the finish like a crackly sheen. Know nothing about this clock- except the obvious; Made in Germany sticker on the back. And printed on face on clock(bottom center edge) Key set and wind. But missing the key Fairly certain the clock's case is solid brass- looks. Feels, weights, and does not react to a magnet. Although the back piece where there is a'peep hole' I am not sure it that is solid or not. Must have been given as a Company Premium since it has a bronze medallion of- what I think- is a company logo. I always displayed the clock with that to the back since both sides of the walnut base are finished. My guess is it is from the 70's. But certainly just a guess. Beautiful Victorian style Dresden Made in Germany porcelain Mantle clock. The clock is Melcedes Made in Germany has a wind up function on the back and the clock does work. The porcelain is mainly white with gold accenting with multi-colored flowers decorating the top and base on both sides. In good condition. Some chipping to the pink rose on top two petals and the blue and yellow flower on top one petal not hugely noticeable blends in. Marked on the bottom in blue crown symbol. N, Dresden. It's small but heavy in weight. It is approx. 8-1/2 x 8-1/2 x 4 in. in size. Purchased as an estate item.

The story behind this clock is that it was purchased by a U.S. Air Force member in England in 1965 from an antique store. It is a ticking quartz movement complete with a balance wheel. ... moreIt is quite a heavy clock made from cast metal and weighing nearly 1.5 kilos. There are two evident cracks to the battery case. However the battery case is still solid still intact and this is easily repairable if you wish to do so. There is no movement of these two cracks when replacing the battery so in other words still solid. When I replaced the battery I needed to give the clock just a very gentle shake to start the balance wheel moving. It has been ticking now for well over one month. It keeps PERFECT TIME! If this clock did ever need a movement repair it would be well worth while having it done at a watchmakers. But it does not need a repair at this time as it is working ticking and keeping time. The hands appear to be adjusted by taking off the glass cover as I had to do. There appears to be only a fast slow adjustment on the rear of the case. The clock case is not broken. The measurements are as per the pictures only. Please judge the condition. And the measurements in the pictures. Due to the high eBay listing fee.
