Antique Art NOUVEAU Arts& Crafts WATERBURY Brass Clock w/ BIRD c. 1894 Here is a gorgeous original antique brass Waterbury art Nouveau clock. It stands 7 1/2 ins. tall by 4 ins. wide at the base. It is in good condition. I have no idea if it works as I am always scared to wind these to test, so I don't. The clock face is in good shape, original glass cover. It is marked Manufactured by Waterbury Clock Co. U.S.A. On the back plate it is marked with this. Last patent date is 1894 for this one. Then you see the other Waterbury mark. Clock face is about 1 15/16ths ins. approx. I liked the little bird down here. I believe this is brass with a brass finish. A magnet does not stick to it( besides the back cover plate)It is fairly light-weight. So not bronze. I am also listing some other Art Nouveau clocks I bought in separate auctions. The ca bine nt is 2 5 1/2" x 15 1/4" x 4 1/4" The reverse painted picture has significant damage. T he gong is still present. The little handle twist s to open the door. There is a little damage to the veneer but very little. A clock maker or repairman could really fix this cabinet up nicely. I think if the inside was fixed with shel ves. Up for auction is an antique Waterbury black mantle shelf clock. It is 11 in. high. 16 1/2 in. long and 6 in. deep. The back paper label shows it is the Delray model circa 1915. There is also a partial paper label with Directions for setting the clock. There is a partial paper label on the back door showing it was sold by L.D. Clapham& Co. Jewelers and Opticians. The movement is marked Waterbury Clock Co. U.S.A. This clock runs and keeps good time. It only gongs on the half hour. We have not been able to get it to gong on the hour. This is a wonderful Waterbury mantel clock. I just had it service it works great keep time well and the chimes are beautiful. However. Because I will be shipping this item it may need to be adjusted. Formed March 5. 1857, as a joint stock corporation, the Waterbury Clock Company from its inception was an operation designed to be a major user of brass produced by the parent firm, the Benedict& Burnham Manufacturing Company. Utilizing the best talent available to them, they hired veteran clockmaker Chauncey Jerome to set up the new firm’s casemaking shop and his brother Noble Jerome, a well-known clock mechanic, to set up the movement manufacturing operation. Its case is a gorgeous rich mahogany wooden finish with castle like pediment which is shaped so that an ornament would comfortable sit up there.The ornament in the one photo is not included) Although it is a wall clock. It has no hook or hole to hang it up so it would need a bracket on the wall to sit on or it could sit gloriously on your mantel piece as well. The front glass door has its classic golden design on the glass which is in great condition. It has a bright clean golden face. Very attractive hands and a very unique enamelled design pendulum bob which you don't often see. This clock is not only classy it works extremely well with a nice clear single cathedral ... moregong counting out the hours. It is supplied with a key. This one is for the collector. Very hard to find and you'd have to wait a long time to see another like it. Standing approx. 26cm in height. Free local pickup. It measures approx 22 inches high and the base is approx 4 1/2 inches deep and 15 inches long. There is a tiny pies of wood off near the top in the back. Up for auction is this Antique Waterbury"Fargo" Kitchen/Parlor Clock. This clock is an estate find; this is what I've been able to learn about it(please examine photos carefully) Clock measures approximately 22.5" high and 15" wide at the base. Case is crafted from beautiful golden oak with detailed carving. The only flaw is a mended piece at the very top of the decorative crown; it is noticeable from the front mostly because it is a slightly darker shade of wood(see pictures) Clock door has good hinges; glass appears to be original and wavy. With a reverse-painted Victorian pattern. Has original dial with Waterbury mark. Pendulum is also original and appears to be made of ornate brass or bronze. Mechanically. The clock works great. It runs on an 8-day brass spring-driven movement, and strikes on the hour and half-hour ... moreon a coiled gong. I wound it up and, as of this writing, clock has been running for a week and keeping precise time(key will be included; can't say if it is the original key) Label on back is very weathered and half-missing; it lists the different offices of the Waterbury company and has detailed instructions for clock operation. My research indicates this piece dates back to circa 1910. Making it around 100 years old; it's in remarkably good condition for its age. Overall. Here we have a beautiful clock. It appears to be made out of brass. Unfortunately we do not have the original key so we can fully test this clock. However we played with the movements and it appears to be working. Nothing is locked up but I am sure some adjustments will be needed. The face is porcelain also. Antique Waterbury Paris Walnut Parlor Clock 1881 Renaissance Revival
This Waterbury parlor clock is 23 inches high to the top of the finial and 13 inches wide. The case is made of walnut and has a face near the top below a finial. The clock is the Paris model which was introduced in 1881. We believe this is an 8 day time and strike clock. The face is enamel and has a little bit of loss but looks original. The clock has some carving at the top and bottom. The clock winds fine but will only run for a couple of minutes at a time. The bell does not seem to be lined up properly with the striker. The pendulum is missing the pointer that points to the speed. We believe the glass in the door has been replaced. There is no damage to the case.

Antique Clock This auction is for a really nice and very rare antique china case mantel or shelf clock that dates to the late 1800s-early 1900s. The clock has a wonderful porcelain or ceramic case covered in pink flowers and gold accents. On the back it has a label that indicates it was made by Waterbury and the clock is a Parlor Number 94. The clock has the original movement and the clock is in excellent working condition– including the gong. It measures about 12" tall and is in nice condition but there is a repair to one of the high points at the left side. There is also a shallow chip on the front at the 10:30 position. Still a very nice piece and very rare. It’s not obvious but there are two griffon heads at the bottom edges. Guaranteed old and as described! This dark wood tone-walnut? antique Waterbury clock is marked on the movement Waterbury Clock Co. Pat'd Sept. 22. 1874 61/2 and on the tattered label it is marked Eight strike l Jenner Strikes half hours Waterbury. Conn. USA. It is about 20" high,14" wide, and 4" in depth. The case displays well; however it is missing the crest at the top. The glass door has a gold floral and leaf display. There is wear on the dial face- see photos- and it has black Roman numerals, 2 key posts, an elaborate pendulum, and an old key. This clock does not run- I hope someone can repair it. Handling is $4 which includes insurance.

I absolutely know NOTHING ABOUT CLOCKS SO I AM STARTING THE OPENING BID FOR WHAT THE KEY AND PENDULUM ARE WORTH! I am assuming this is a WATERBURY CLOCK as the key is marked Waterbury Lock Clock is nice with an applied metal eagle at the top and floral gold& black decals inside top I don't know how the pendulum hangs AND I DONT KNOW IF IT WORKS BUT when you let go of the hammer it has a nice ring Someone applied a white plastic piece through the inside of the clock w a screw which ii can't get out because the screw is stripped so I am leaving that to the new owner Nice brass? Waterbury'Augusta' wall clock. Circa 1894, oak case. Clock is in overall, very good condition. For reference, see page 198, Tran Duy Ly, Waterbury Clocks. Movement is an eight day time and strike. It has been cleaned and oiled and runs well, but it will jump strike. Dial has been papered. Case is 51 inches in length. No shipping, unless buyer makes arrangements. A very beautiful antique. Circa 1900's, sculpture statue desk clock. The winged semi-nude male figure is the Arts personified. In his left hand is a palette with brushed, his right hand with the torch of knowledge, and at the base of the globe a lyre for music. The Warerbury clock has a porcelain dial with beveled glass over. The clock is not in working order. Sold"as found" The ormolu bronze clock total measures 10-1/2" tall by 4-1/2" wide by 4" deep. Excellent condition: bronze without dents or breaks, most minor wear to ormolu on his right leg, and tiny brown speck on a wing. The dial and glass are fine.

I finally found a reference to it on AntiqueWaterburyClocks.com. Called“The Music Men” this antique. Circa ... more1920, figural carved oak wall clock was a limited edition clock and there were very few produced. I could not find another example that has sold. Depicting three musicians, one playing a horn, one playing a guitar and the other singing, this carved oak clock has an Arts& Crafts/Mission Style with applied brass numerals and hands on the oak clock-face. After comparing our clock to the other example we found in collections we know that the weights& pendulum are later replacements, and so are the fancy brass hands. This clock would have originally had plain brass hands and a set of Waterbury's twisted weights. There are no other problems or restorations to this clock and it is in working condition. This is an 8-day weight driven clock and as you can see in our photographs. The works are complete and original. It measures 28” wode by 26” tall by 5 ½” deep The surface is original and untouched and there are only a few small areas of wear to the edges or high points. Clock time can be set but does not work. There is not a second hand. Mechanism is probably repairable. Height is about 4 inches. Weight is about 3.5 lbs.

Found during the recent clean out of a Bath Maine estate we are offering this completely original in as found condition Waterbury Clock Company Connecticut mantel clock in a delft ware pottery case. The clock is as I found it with it's original key. It has a patent date of Jan 1891 It does not keep time so will have to be cleaned and or serviced. Appears to have been over wound at some point. The case is without cracks. Only needs to be cleaned. I have not touched it.It measures:12"high by 8"wide by 4 1/2"

Description: This is an antique Waterbury mantel clock/calendar clock in brown wood case. The clock strikes on the half hour. Comes with pendulum and key. The case hasp works. The clock measures approximately 21" x 14 1/2" x 4 1/2" The clock front measures approximately 18 1/2 inches. The total height including the top piece measures approximately 24" inches. There is company information on the back of the clock and although some of the paper is obviously worn off. There are still some readable instructions. Condition: This is antique patented in 1889. The clock does wind. But I do not know what kind of time it can keep. The case has a fair amount of wear and some scratching. The back of the case has torn and worn paper and also some staining of both the paper and the wood. The inside metal bezels on oth block and calendar ... morehave some scratches and marks and the calendar clock has a dent in the lower part of the metal bezel. There is a portion of the wood frame inside the glass missing on the top glass. There may be additional flaws that I am unable to see. A very nice antique. Circa 1860's- 1870's, cast bronze(not cast iron) fronted wood case mantel clock, marked: Muller, the dial marked Waterbury. It is in working order, with brass pendulum, no key included. We cannot access the works to determine if one or eight day spring. It is in working order: tells the time, coil chimes quickly the hours. The bronze has been overpainted in gilt to the original surface. The glass in both doors has been replaced with new. The paper dial is fine. Clock measures 16-1/2" tall by 10" wide by 3" deep.

Fake Marbled Granite sides with metal lion heads on each side.
