On the back is a metal ... moreplate with"Tyni Switch" on it and I assume is the model name. Also stamped in the black chassis is The Sessions Clock Co. Forestville, Conn, and in another area 60 cycles. Clock motor 25 watt, and 110V AC. There are three wires for connecting the clock's electrical motor to a power source. One black, yellow and red wire. The clock is all metal with a round glass face plate. The brass edging is not real brass, but brass-plating. The four knobs are plastic. The face of the clock has a total of seven different colors used for the graphics. It is roughly 3 1/2 inches in diameter. About 3" deep, and weights about a pound. It looks like it belongs on the polished burl-wood dashboard of a 1949 Cadillac. The face-plate is in almost perfect condition. The scratches in the photos on the gold rim are from light reflecting off the brass plating. But there are very minute scratches from cleaning and polishing. But you only see them when the light hits them just right. They look like ones in a car's polished finish, which even a soft cloth can cause. You only see them in the right light. Three of the four control knobs are working. And you pull them out to engage the gears. Only the knob for the sleep setting is frozen and not working. The knob for the alarm is a little stiff and you have to wiggle it as you pull it out to engage the gears. We should assume the clock is not working. And is being sold as non-working. It's a really cool looking clock. With great colors, straight out the late 1940s early 1950s. I do not know the exact date of manufacture and its only a"best guess" on my part. But from the quality of the metal parts used in the construction, and the real glass face-plate, its a very nice clock, worth repairing or re-building. Antique Sessions Mantel Clock This is a great example of a Sessions 8-day Mantle Clock. It was made circa 1908. It is in GREAT condition. The clock has all of its original parts. Movement, case, rear door, etc. The movement works great! It has a signed"Sessions Clock Co" 8 day time and strike movement(see picture) which chimes on a bell once on the half-hour and on the hour it counts the hours with a very mellow tone on a cathedral gong. It has a solid mahogany wood case with colored inlayed wood design on the front faded by over 100 years, but still can be seen(see pictures) Its model name is the"Plymouth" The movement runs very well and keeps good time. The case is in very good condition. Very few blemishes at all. see picture) The mahogony case is made with a simple but beautiful classic design with a finish that has ... morea beautiful aged patina. All the screw holes in the back line up perfectly indicating all parts are original. Even the original back! The hands are also original! The cream tinted porcelain dial is signed Sessions and the original bezel is solid brass! The numbers and lettering are very crisp and not worn at all. Also. The dial is easy to read even from a distance. There are age hairline cracks in the porcelain that really looks antique. The original paper label is still on the inside of the back door. The back door is also original and fits nicely. The dial has a special place where you can set the time to slow and fast using the key– at the number 12(see picture) This way you don’t need to take the clock down off the mantle in order to make fine adjustments to the movement as to slow and fast. Complete with a Sessions pendulum(maybe original) and a double-ended key– one side to wind the clock and the other to adjust the speed. This clock was made by the Sessions Clock Company in the U.S.A. The clock was made in the early 1900's but we are not sure of an exact date. This clock is working and the key and pendulum are present. It has nice chimes. The brass mechanism looks to have been serviced over the years. The glass door is in good condition with no damage. I am selling a Antique 1930's? SESSIONS Art Deco Figural Nude Maiden Woman Electric Shelf Clock as seen in the photos below. Clock comes exactly as shown. The cord is dry and brittle as shown so I have not tested it. So the working condition is unknown. The base is solid wood, the female figure is made of some type of metal with a gold finish. The clock is mounted inside a circular piece of wood as shown. It is made by Sessions, not sure when it was made but by the style I'm guessing the mid to late 1930's. Vintage/Antique Sessions Marble Art Deco Electric Mantle/Table Clock- Works! Up for bids is a Vintage/Antique Sessions Marble Art Deco Electric Mantle/Table Clock. This Clock is made by Sessions and is marked Model"W" In back. The clock is Gorgeous! It features a 10"x 3" x 1" thick marble base and a 7" diameter(3/4" thick) marble disc around the clock works. There are 2 round ball marble pieces on both sides of the clock. The balls are about 1.5" in diameter. The white marble has some reddish brown streaks. The base has a felt backing to protect the surface of the mantle. The clock face is metal gray with gold tone numbers. Black hands, and a red sweep second hand. The clock housing case is also gold tone. This clock is very heavy and has an electric cord in the back. The condition of the clock is near ... moreperfect! There is one very small chip in the back of the clock at about 1:30. It has a thick shiny black adamantine case which is great condition for its age. Many of these old ones have thin restored adamantine but this one seems to be as thick and gleaming as it always was. Of course it has knocks and bumps commensurate with its age which add character and it still looks really great. The decorations of columns and added metal have been gilded with proper gilding paste which has them glowing luxuriously gold. It has a bright clean shiny brass bezel and convex glass which opens and closes very snugly. This clock is not only classy it works extremely well with a nice clear single bell on the half ... morehour and counting out the hours on the hour on its beautiful resonating cathedral gong. Beautiful piece of history from The Sessions Clock Co. Forestville, CT. WASHINGTON is the name of it. Eight day striking the hours on two-tone chimes. Half hours in harmony. The eagle head on the top has been broken off. The lower glass has a red building with"Ye Upholsterer Betsy Ross" There are four people at the door.the woman is holding an American flag. The key is included. As I am typing this. I'm waiting to see if the chimes work. The pendulum is going back and forth, ticking and tocking. Both hands are moving fine. There is a hand written receipt that came with the clock. I have no idea what date the receipt is from. But it looks like it had an overhaul or cleaning at some point. This little black adamantine Sessions clock has a very clean and well finished wooden case which is great condition for its age. As with many of these old ones this one has had some little restoration but this one seems to look as shiny and bright despite the knocks and bumps commensurate with its age which add character and I couldn't find many and it still looks really great. Apart from two very short hairline cracks in the glass the dial looks wonderful and the brass bezel opens and closes well. The other brass embellishments are bright and shiny too. This clock is not only bright it is running well like a Sessions clock and strikes the half hours on a bell and counts out the hours on the hour on the usual resonating cathedral gong. Beautiful 1900's Antique SESSIONS "WAGNER"? PARLOR / MANTLE CLOCK w/ key Unique&
Another beautiful mantle clock I couldn't pass up from a recent estate sale I went to. Unique designs. Love the dark green color columns. The metal deco of a lady holding what looks to be a harp on each side, metal deco on sides and beautiful designs as you will see in the 12 photos uploaded. I was told, and information I have received or have been told in the past has been wrong at times, so PLEASE be your own judge and PLEASE look at all the photos. Someone mentioned it as a"WAGNER" and, I was also told it's a Mozart Circa 1918. It is without the glass over the face. Again, NO glass over the face of the clock. There's crackling on the material of the face/dial, from age and it being in used, antique condition, I assume. On the front of the face at the bottom, MADE BY THE SESSIONS CO. FORESTVILLE CONN. U.S.A. The front ... morehas the metal claw feet on each side. Measuring the widest part, which is the claw feet and where they come out, side to side, again, including the claw feet, approximately 16 1/4 inches. Measuring front to back, including the claw feet, approximately 6 inches. It displays approximately 11 3/4 inches tall. I took pictures of all sides angles, even the inner parts/mechanism. I couldn't get it to run. I really do not know what it needs. I think, and my opinion only, the pendulum is not mounted right because I found another pendulum type piece loose inside. It has the key with it. It strikes a deep sounding cathedral gong to the count of the hour/s and once on a bell for the half hour. I am not a clock expert and do not know exactly what it needs. So hopefully someone that knows about clocks will be able to tell more about it by looking at the photos uploaded. The scales show it weighing 9 pounds and 0.6 ounces. Up for auction is an antique Sessions temple style mantle or shelf clock in a medium toned wood. This clock is 10 3/4 in. high. 15 1/2 in. wide and 6 1/4 in. deep. The face is marked Made By The Sessions Clock Co. Forestville, Conn. U.S.A. The movement is marked similarly. The pendulum is marked with an S. This attractive looking clock runs and keeps good time. It gongs on the hour and the bell rings on the half hour. There is some light scratching on the center of the glass door. The back door isn't all original and the side handles are missing. This is a beautiful large mantel clock in gorgeous marbled green and white trimmed in gold. Victorian theme with Victorian couple among roses. Made by Sessions c1940's. In like great condition. Sits10.5" tall, 11" wide and 4" deep. There are no cracks or breaks. The clock has a lot of crazing. It was working fine until my husband stepped on the cord plug. It definitely needs a new cord. This is an antique Sessions mantel tambour clock. It measures 9.5" wide by 5" high. The dial is about 2.5" diameter. It is an 8-day windup clock(not electric) As can be seen it includes a second hand. The case is mahogany and has been cleaned and polished. Although not perfect the finish is very good with a pleasing lustre that makes the clock most attractive. The movement has been dismantled. Cleaned, pivots polished and reassembled. It has also been lightly oiled. Although the clock goes for a few days it does NOT keep good time. Running several minutes slow each day after being wound. The back plate cover is also missing as you can see from the photo. This does not affect its running but it means the movement is not as firmly fixed in the wood case as it would otherwise be. The dial is in excellent condition for its age. ... moreWith all the numbers and lettering in place as they should be. There is a little very light scratching near the numerals 2 and 3 but this is only visible on very close inspection. I have endeavoured to give an accurate and honest description of its condition. Together with photos that show its appearance. The clock needs work to make it work fully and accurately. An identical clock in full working order was recently on eBay for $198. This gives a comparison in possible value bearing in mind the issues this clock has. To be sold as is.

Vintage Sessions Horse Mantle Clock 1950 N A POLI Absolutely GORGEOUS details and beautiful warm patina throughout this piece. The horse saddle has elaborate etchings and design. The heavy base has rope styled trim surrounding the perimeter with Brand type markings. The original reins. Made of chain, are still intact. The clock itself is surrounded by a horseshoe. The working clock keeps time; the electrical cord itself is not the original one. It has been replaced. Measures: Base 18" x 6" with 10" in height at the tallest point. Antique/Vintage Ornate Black Adamantine Sessions Mantle Clock Running& Striking. A golden gilt decorated Sessions Adamantine Black Clock embellished with columns and lions. The case is possibly just over 100 years old is in fair condition for its age(see photos for detail) The dial is the original Connecticut factory dial and looks great as does the shiny brass bezel which opens and closes snugly. The movement is cleaned and oiled.This clock ticks away nicely and counts out the hours on the hour on its resonating cathedral coil gong in a nice soft tone. Signed Sessions on the face and STAMFORD is labeled on the inside of the clock. It measures approx. 18" x 11 2/3" x 5 9/10" has three columns on both sides with a gilded ornate between them. Very ornate gilded legs and lion head handles on each end. The body is an ebony colored wood. The face has yellowed and crackled. The front legs are a little wobbly, the top has wear and a few chips to the paint, and there is some oxidation to the metal around the face. But when we wound it and set it on the shelf it kept time and ticking beautifully! Sure to look fantastic in your parlor or on your mantle. But I have a key that I checked the clock out with and the pegs seem to me that they are very tight, so I don't know if it's a matter of it being wound too tight or just ... moreneeds some adjusting or what, so this is a As Is auction. I moved the pendulum by hand and it moved the hands for a few minutes and I placed the hand right before 9 o'clock and it moved to 9 on it's own and the hammer struck the chime 9 times on it's on.but other than that. I did not spend a lot of time moving the pendulum by hand. The glass door face is not cracked or chipped. The Numbers face is curled in a few spots which you should be able to see in the photos. It does show scratches and scuffs as you can see by the photos. It is missing the back cover.it comes just like you see it. One of the front legs is a little loose. I think it's just a matter of missing a nail. The clock measures: approx. 15" Long x 10 1/4" Tall x 6" Wide I did not polish or clean the clock. So I know it can look better cosmetically with a good cleaning or polishing with some scratch guard if you choose to. Please ask any questions you have Before bidding. All sales are final.
