Therefore, this could be a 1921 clock later commissioned for a RMS or the Royal Navy, etc. All Elliot clocks pressed into Royal Service bore either the Kings' or Queens' Cypher, depending on the actual reigning monarch at the time. Classical antique table or mantle clock in oak case. 15" tall. 10 1/2"wide, 7"deep. The glass is beveled. The clock face is surrounded by metal vegetation that is probably gold plated. There are two wooden columns on the side, with bases in metal or wood, that have also been plated or painted gold. The chime consists of 4 bars that collectively make a beautiful sonorous chord. The chime is one strike on the half hour and a strike for each hour on the hours. My brothers and I gave this clock to our parents in 1973. We purachsed it at the Clocksmith in San Carlos. CA. It had been repaired and restored by the Clocksmith, but I do not know the extent of the restoration. It was still running before I moved it to my home a few years ago, but did not run when I got it home. Nice vintage Kundo 400 day anniversary glass dome clock with original instructions and key. Model 407. I do not know how they work. I tried to turn the key to see if it wound. But I think it might be wound too tight, the key did not turn. The brass on the base does have some spots of patina, see pictures. Nice looking clock, but needs some repairs to get it working. antique French inlaid wood clock Made in France with convex glass
Here is an unusual table top(or mantle) wood cased clock that was Made in France I believe the wood is inlaid. But I am no expert when it comes to wood. Overall it is in excellent condition. And measures about 9 5/8" high, 8" wide at the base of the brass legs. The only markings I found on it were"Made in France" on the back of the movement. As well as the numerals I show you in the pictures above. The clock is in working order. And does not use a pendulum or need a key. As you can see in the back the winder is part of the movement itself. On the very top of the movement is that wheel that spins back and forth just like a watch. The clock works fine. But I cannot attest to the timing of it. There are some nice accenting brass ball finials on top. And all four legs are made of brass as well. There are two pillars in the ... morefront that have brass finials on top and bottom I am quite sure the dial is porcelain. But I cannot be sure. I have tried looking for any cracks or breaks in it but I could not find any, so that makes it even more difficult to determine if it is porcelain. The hands look like brass. And the convex glass in front. the glass is surrounded by a brass frame. The casing on the bottom right is a little loose. A small bit of glue will hold it well. But I will leave that to you. You can also see on the right side there is a small sliver/piece of wood that is missing. Not that noticeable but I thought I would point it out just the same. 16lbs French Antique Glass Clock Oriental Chinese Champleve Cloisonne HandMade
Large antique cloissonne clock. Probably from the late 1800's. 19 inches high and 13 inches long approximately. Weighs 16 pounds. Hand made Cloissonne. Comes with brass key. The clock works but overwinds easilly and then will stop after a short time and I would need to fidget with the pendulum to get it to go for the 24 hours that it can actually do but it can not function reliably without repair. Some small damage to top. Top part of Cloissonne has small chip(see close up) and small chip in glass(see close up) There also seems to be a small barely noticeable dent in the metal where the chipped Cloissonne is(see close up) Glass chip is to the side and bottom right where the brass frame is so it is barely noticeable(I have had the clock for over a year and just noticed when I was taking photos) The top and bottom seem to be some kind of ... morenatural stone. Johan Obergfell was the inventor of the rod chime unit and worked out how to mass produce it. Staff of 50 people. 1918 J.G. Kieninger comes in the company. One of his specialties: Enamel dials. This is the founding year of the company Kieninger und Obergfell also called Kundo. 1923 From this year Kundo manufactures also complete clocks, specialty: 400 day clocks with rotating pendulum. 1926 J.G. Antique Constantine Detouche gilt metal eight day regulator clock w glass dome
Here is a fine 19th Century Second Empire gilt metal and brass eight day table regulator clock. The façade of the clock features foliate decoration and volute feet on the lower portion. A male figure stands on the raised ground next to the movement casing holding a small bouquet. The white enamel dial features Roman numeral s and Brequet-style. Blued steel hands for the hours and the minutes. Above the X11 are two letters- R/A. This is a secondary fine timing adjustment. The letter R means retard or to slow it a bit and A indicates avance or to speed up just a bit. There is a slight scratch on the dial which extends just over the V1 chapter on the dial. The time and single bell movement is visible on the reverse. The movement also features a brass bob detachable gridiron pendulum which can be adjusted as well to fine tune the accuracy ... moreof the movement. The back plate features the makers stamp and movement numbers in addition to an additional stamp for La Croix de la Legion d'Honneur which he was awarded for his contributions to Horology. The top center of the dial bears the name of the clockmaker and noted horologist Constantin- Louis Detouche(1810- 1889) Constantin was the head of The House of Detouche who were on the forefront of French Horology by combining artistic elegance with scientific precision. The dial has an abbreviation-Fseur which means fournisseur or provider as he was appointed as the official clockmaker to The City of Paris and to the Emperor Napoleon III as well as the Croix de Danneborg by the King of Denmark. During the mid 19c The House of Detouche presented at many Horological and Industrial Expositions where they would submit their latest and technologically advanced and complicated creations. This clock measures 11"x 11" x 5" and overall 14" x 14" x 8 ½" in a period. Ebonized oval wood base with a glass dome. Carved and painted arched wood case, a reverse painted glass portrait of a female figure, metal dial with Roman numerals, old paper lining with instructions. It is in very good condition with wear consistent with age. Crazing and chipping to the finish on the dial, paint wear and patina, some wear to the painting, light surface wear to the wood, light soiling. In just really nice condition a dark oak case with beveled glass 3 panel door and a curved glass in bezel on door. the works are marked with trademark for Kienzle clocks(clock face with wings) perhaps fore runner for time flies. Motor worked and kept time last time we tested several years ago. Tested recently and hands turn but did not test for correct time. Glass has a scratch. Face plate is in good condition with normal wear for age. Has original brass hands. May be missing some screws and back cover ect. Selling for part or repair only with no warranty's. I have shown as much of the old case as I can. I can't photograph the bubbles in the glass but they are there and it sure looks old to me. The movement is mounted on the back of the clock like a Vienna clock is and slides into a metal frame by releasing two finger knobs. The case is shown in the photos in detail because if you know age you'll see it. Of course it should have knocks and bumps commensurate with its age which add character but I couldn't find any major damage and it still looks really great. The brass dial looks wonderful. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE WOODEN WALL CLOCK Original Patent Label Needs New Glass
Up for sale is this primitive antique wood wall clock. It comes from a private Conn estate and is very old. Overall it is in pretty good condition with the painted face in tact. But it does need some TLC. The original glass front was broken and needs replaced as well as some reinforcements throughout. The front door needs to be reattached to the front. There is some old paper in the inside front that says patent but I cannot make out the makers name due to the paper coming off in certain areas. It measures 30" x 17 1/2" x 4" The bottom part of the pendulum is there but not the rod and there are 2 pullies at the top an dthe key is missing for the clock. Thanks for looking!

Rare Antique German Green Glass Umbrella clock
This rare early German green glass clock was made in the shape of an open umbrella. This is only the secound one I have seen in collecting clock for over 50 years. The only other one was in a clock store in London about 15 years ago. It was a larger scale and when I offered 500 pounds they laughed and said try 1000 and we can talk. This clock face measures 2" in diamiter and the cerounding glass measures 6 3/4" in diamiter and with the brass handle it measures 7" long. The clock runs for a short while and will need servicing but it compete. I'm starting the bidding at what I paid many years ago. Don't let this rare clock get away. The wooden wall piece measures approximately 9" tall x 6-3/8" wide. The clock face portion is approximately 6-1/8" wide and 7-1/4" tall. On the back of the white glass. There is a 3-1/2" very thin hairline scratch.I say scratch because you can't even feel it and it does not at all show through to the front. It doesn't work, but we see that the mechanism is complete. Absolutely gorgeous hand carved antique oak chiming kitchen time and day clock. Signed and dated in pencil by carver on the planked back. B in a circle and dated February 21(1821) Carved with flowers. Beaded medallion, scrolls, petals, etc. Glass door reverse painted in gold. Clock face is tin, with a silver tin ring around it. Clock measures approximately 22 1/2" in height, 14 1/2" in width and 4 1/4" in depth. Pendulum and chiming coil removed for shipping. No key. I can't tell if the top of the clock's crown was split and repaired or made this way. If it split, it was a straight line clean split. I seriously think it was made this way but I needed to mention it.

No Reserve, Free Shipping This is a handsome antique mantle clock by American clockmaker Seth Thomas of Connecticut around the turn of the century. The fine wooden oak case frames a charming floral decorated dial with large Roman numerals. The lower glass panel features a revere painted design which frames the swinging pendulum. Accompanied with a key as pictured. In overall very good cosmetic condition with surface scratches and some wear to the finish on the oak. There are a few knicks. Dings, and small losses. There are losses to the painted panel. The dial exhibits toning, crazing, fading, some staining and minor scattered losses to the paint. The clock winds and runs. It has a chime function to alert you at the one and one half ... morehour. Though not currently functioning, when the minute hand reaches the 12 or 6 on the face you can hear the mechanism trying to work, but it never actually chimes. We are not clock experts, but it is most likely just in need of a cleaning. This condition is consistent with age and use. Antique French Oval Crystal Regulator Clock Brass Curved Beveled Glass Mantle
Here is a beautiful antique French Oval Crystal Regulator Clock. I am not a clock collector or a clock expert- I purchased this clock at an estate sale. I will try to provide all the details. But please ask if you have any additional questions. The clock appears to be solid brass, and is very heavy. It is marked on the top side of the bottom base'Duverdrey& Bloquel France. I do not see maker information on the movement but do see some numbers stamped on the movement. There are 4 glass panels- all are curved and beveled, quite unusual. The clock measures about 10 1/2" high, 7 1/2" wide and 6 1/2" deep. The porcelain dial is beautifully decorated and marked Baily, Banks& Biddle Philadelphia and France below the number 6. Roman numerals for the hours. Comes with pendulum and key. I do not know if this is the original ... morekey but it came with the clock. Pendulum seems to contain mercury but I am uncertain as to how these pendulums should look. I have hung/swung the pendulum and the clock runs for a bit, changes time, and then the pendulum stops. I have not attempted to wind this clock in any way. I have moved the minute hand and the clock chimes on the half hour and the hour. I will assume that some adjustments are needed, perhaps repairs also. The case is really in nice shape- a few spots here and there, but nothing significant. Very interesting is the writing on the bottom of the clock. I am not sure what most of it means, but there does appear to be a date of 11/7/85- I am assuming that could mean 1885, unless this could possibly represent a service date. There is a very minor hairline on the face- I cannot even feel a crack when I touch it, but I can see it. And, there is a tiny chip in the glass on the back panel right at the top. A beautiful clock with a lovely face. A great oval shape with wonderful carved and beveled glass. I can send any additional photos that you request. Please be sure to ask any questions. The 8-days work runs well and is of very high quality. Not just a clock. But an exquisite piece of fine art. Produced over 100 years ago by skilled German artisans for high quality that was meant to last a lifetime. And it has! Still lovely today as it was. This is truly a stunning antique timepiece. Eight-day movement has a very sonorous gong chime at the half and full hour. Heavy walnut or mahogany case with 6 heavy beveled panes of glass on the door. No chips. Cracks or scratches in the glass. Has a double locking latch. The case does a a couple of wood cracks around the face and one knick on the latch side of the door. It does not detract from the beauty of this piece, it adds character and authenticity. See pics. 2 Copper colored panels. One on each side with the initials G.B.
