German Porcelain POCONO Ansonia Mantel/Shelf Clock Patd 1882 with Key/Pendulum
There are no chips or cracks. There is light crazing throughout as usual for these. It measures 12" tall. 12 1/2" wide by 5" deep. BEAUTIFUL DIAL with green and what appears to be original hands. The pendulum appears to be original also. This is a recent estate find and it does not run for more than a few minutes. Will definitely need cleaning. For your consideration is a wonderful antique Ansonia Cast Iron Mantle Clock with a gold dial and open escapement. I have not seen another like this special clock. I have not wound this clock in about 5 months. But it worked fine for a month keeping perfect time and striking on the hour. 8 day clock. Great carved design on this beautiful cast iron. Stately and beautiful at the same time. It does have a chip in the bottom of the beveled glass on the inside, but is below the numbers. Clock measures 14 3/4" wide, 10" tall and 6 1/2" deep. It does have the weight, however needs a key. It takes a size 11. This is an Ansonia, however it is hard to read on the works inside. I could not get in a picture due to the design, however if you get it just right you can see the Ansonia name through the design. The back has the date May 5/50 ... moreinscribed on it for the service date, however it was serviced about a year ago as well, just not inscribed. Measuring 16" long, 15" tall and 7" deep. It weighs 19.5lbs. The movement is marked Ansonia and has a patent date of June 14, 1881. Antique ANSONIA Iron Mantel Clock in working condition with the rare RED iron moulding. Circa 1890. The clock is classically decorated with a black enamel finish that is accented by gold scroll work on the front and double red molding on each side. It also comes with Lion Handles and four Claw Feet. The works comes with the original adjustable pendulum(picture 11. and double sided Ansonia key(picture 12. This is an antique Ansonia figural mantel clock. It measures approximately 16 ½ inches tall by 14 inches long by 7 ½ inches wide at the base. It was manufactured by the Ansonia Clock Co. June 14. 1881. It is working, keeping time and it chimes. Everything seems to be original to this clock including the pendulum. The face door has thick glass. The back door is hinged and both are functional. It is Spelter and black ebonized iron base. It needs cleaning(the dirt is free) and some refurbishing on the base. The base is missing the 4 corner feet which can be purchased at timesavers.com for less than $20.00. It has a porcelain dial face. Black Roman numerals and a beautiful gold face surround. It does not have a key. Ca1900 Ansonia Clock Co La Drome Royal Bonn German porcelain mantel clock.
This beautiful German Ansonia porcelain mantel clock is in excellent but needs a cleaning. Named"La Drome" circa 1900. I don't have the key or pendelum so I am unsure if it works or can be fixed. It is beautiful. Almost perfect, except for a small hairline crack on the right side base(above the foot) Another crack is on the back of the clock. It has been repaired. The markings on back read: Royal Bonn. 1755, La Drome Inside parts read: Ansonia Clock Company New York USA The clock face is in perfect condition. The glass door opens as it should. Clock measures approximately 12" tall by 16" wide and 6" deep weighs 12 lbs. It is mainly green in color but has touches of pink. Purple and blue.

Here is a beautiful. Old mantle clock. The body is made out of cast iron-black. The clock measures approx. 14" x 5 1/4" and stands about 10" high. The face has a diameter of 5" Has a glass door over the face.no cracks or breaks in the door.hinge still fine. Inside, it says: ANSONIA CLOCK CO. U.S.A. NEW YORK. PATENTED JUNE 18, 1882. It weighs about 15 lbs. unboxed. The backside is metal.there is a crack in the metal back near the bottom left foot. It is still intact and solid though. The little metal clip that holds the round back cover on is also broken on the clip side. You can balance it up there though. It chimes once on the half hour and chimes on each hour for whatever time it is: ex: 5:00 would be 5 chimes. It comes with the key. The clock does work.HOWEVER, the pendulum keeps stopping after about 2 min. You have ... moreto keep pushing it. It might just need adjusting.after all it's only 132 years old! I don't know anything about clocks so I don't want to mess around with anything. The inside is VERY clean! On the back inside wall by the face I can make out the numbers: 144. A beautiful antique black cast iron( Victorian Ansonia New York mantel Clock. Esti late 1800s(pat date 1882) Glass door, gold face that feels like tin or metal, clock has pretty etched or engraved decorations. Esti 10.25" tall. Base is 9.25" wide. Pendulum inside. No key. It's very heavy– I believe it's cast iron and wood. Not 100% sure. This is in good condition in my opinion. With scratches and wear marks to finish. Some sections are shiny, others more dull. It's apparent that someone refinished this piece. You can see some black overspray on the back when up close. Not sure if all parts are original. Inner workings look pristine, I see no rust or obvious damage. See photos to make your own determinations. Sold as not working. See no obvious signs of damage. I think it is called a Sonia#1 and is a model A26. It measures 22-1/2 inches long. 11 inches tall, and is 6-3/4 inches deep. The face is machined metal in A silvery whitish tone, with black arabic numerals, framed in brass. The face has a touch of age soiling but is otherwise in excellent condition. It has a bubble level built right in under the 12, also has four adjustable metal feet so it can be leveled. The brass framed crystal is beveled and domed and like the face, is also in excellent condition. Vintage Antique Cast Iron Ansonia Mantel Clock restore or parts- this clock came from an Estate where the man of the House use to fix clocks as a hobby- the movement has been removed and replaced by a battery operated case- the clock is in good condition- except there is no movement or glass on the face of the clock and some damage between the 11& 12 numerals on the face o.k. the feet are fine and also the gold highlights and lion heads on both sides- the second last picture show the inside of the case)a litle dark) and the last picture is of the new movement. I do not know the age of this time piece- but it old for sure but how old I am not positive. Rare Ansonia 'Melody' Figural Mantel Clock, c1894 w/ Open Escapement
Rare Ansonia"Melody" figural statue mantel clock. Circa 1894. From the estate of an avid clock collector, this piece was under restoration when acquired, and awaits further restoration. Original japanned finish to figural and clock casing, showing some corrosion due to age.The Melody figural looks to of had two repairs made- one to the ankle showing a hairline visible crack and one repaired clean break at the seam of the foot resting on the pillar(see last photo for detail) Violin is missing flat section of one tuning peg. The cast base has pitting and lost enamel finish. Has an Ansonia eight day open escapement-stamped"Ansonia Clock Co, patented June 14, 81" in working order, with pendulum and key. Comes with an Ansonia gong that may or may not be suitable, as the base is missing wood plate on bottom for mounting. Hammer ... morewill need to be adjusted, accordingly)Comes with a non original back door hinge, unmounted. Has had replacement side clappers and pivoting mounts, as well as a replaced bow(removable) Measures 19 3/4"W x 9"D x 22"H. Again. Ansonia porcelain mantel clock with open- escapement. Case measures approx. 12 by 14 inches. It has some crazing and discoloration. But no repairs or damage that I see. The dial- bezel is one of the nicest I have seen, with not even a hairline. The movement has been cleaned and oiled and seems to be in good running and striking order.
