Vintage Wrought Iron Gothic Medieval Castle Style Wall Sconce
Please note: Black& Grayish areas on wall sconce is not two colors or fading. Just dusty of which I have cleaned. Just forgot to wipe it down before taking pics. Here’s another blast from the past during the Gothic Revival style in home décor during the 1960’s and early 1970’s. This Wall Sconce is made out of metal or what was called Pot Metal back in the day and painted over to look like wrought iron. However. This one may be painted cast aluminum. It has a flat satin paint finish and was a less expensive way to get the look one was after without the expense of genuine wrought iron, plus it’s also light weight when hanging on the wall so if it came crashing down it wouldn’t do very much damage to the wall or whatever lied beneath. There is no makers mark on the back. But it does come with a ruby red diamond pattern hobnail glass ... morevotive candle holder which glows beautifully when a candle is lit. The glass votive still has it’s original ribbed rubber band at its base so as to mount into the sconce without it slipping around. There are no cracks, chips or breakage and is in excellent vintage condition. This wall scone measures approximately 17-½” inches tall by 8” inches wide by a depth of 3-½” inches. It is excellent condition for a vintage item. FINE PRINT: As with all vintage/antique items there may be normal wear. Antique Hammered Wrought Iron Hanging Pendant Lamp Arts & Crafts Medieval Gothic
This a fabulous antique Stickley Era hammered brass and wrought iron hanging pendant lamp. It measures 17" tall and the design is that of the Arts& Crafts/ Spanish Revival Era featuring florets. Leaves, and a beautiful large amber glass prism. It is very detailed and has a hammered surface that appears copper in color although I believe the metal is actually brass or wrought iron. The upper part of the lamp is brass as is shown by the interior section. The original cloth wiring is still intact and lamp is in good working condition but the new owner may want to have wiring replaced just to be safe. All are in very good condition but the amber prism does have flea bite nicks around the edges. There is a narrow ring of white paint around the top edge where the edge meets the ceiling(someone was not careful when painting! but it just ... moreon the edge and isn't a lot of paint and should be easy to remove(see pics) My pictures do not do this piece justice- must be seen in person to appreciate- very unique and authentic antique. Antique Gothic 6 Arm Wrought Iron and Pressed Tin Medieval Chandelier Dungeon
This is a larger 6 arm Gothic Wrought Iron and pressed tin chandelier. Looks like it belongs in a Medieval Dungeon. I am not sure of the pressed material but the main structure is wrought iron. Measures about 30 inches across and 12 or 13 inches tall. It is rusty and needs to be cleaned up and rewired. I did put a bulb in one of the sockets and plugged it in and it lit up but it doens't look safe. I think this was probably made to be direct wired and someone put a plug on it so it could be just plugged in. Some of the sockets are wobbly. It has a chain on top for hanging. This is very heavy as well. I don't know the maker or age of this chandelier. I think there was a piece of glass inside the wire center at one time but not since I have had it. VTG Wrought Iron 3 Candle Wall Sconce Large 32" Gothic Medieval Spanish Revival
This a gorgeous vintage wrought iron 3-candle wall sconce. It is Gothic/ Medieval/ Spanish in style and measures a very large 32 1/2" tall and candle holders project 6 1/2" out from the wall. Candle holders measure 3 1/4" across. It is in very good, solid condition but does have some surface rust(mostly located on the candle holders themselves) this rust is not deep rust and has not eaten through the metal(I, personally, think this gives it character) but it would be a fairly easy job to sand and repaint, if desired. This is a truly beautiful piece that really makes a statement! 1970's Vintage Genuine Wrought Iron Gothic Medieval Style Black Wall Sconce
And here we have available this vintage wall sconce also from the 1960's early 1970's in the Gothic Revival style in home décor which is made out of what I believe to be genuine wrought iron metal. It is quite a heavy and a solid piece showing a natural texture finish on the front and a spade shape on top. It has a fluted drip plate and the candle holder cup has a scalloped edge. There is a gold brass crown piece around the candle holder part which I assume used to hold a tall glass cover over the candle which is missing. There is no makers mark. But it does have the number 1127 embossed into the back. It does not come with a votive glass candle holder since it's meant to hold a tapered candle of which there is some minor residue in the cup. It measures approximately 12" inches tall with the ruffled base 3" inches ... morein diameter. There are no cracks, chips or breakage and is in excellent vintage condition.
