It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. This could easily be cleaned off but we did not want to ruin any of the original gold paint so we will leave it up to you. Never Any Reserve! All questions will be answered promptly! Rare to find this glass still and especially in this condition. The frame is of a cast metal and heavier metal at that. It has been cleaned and r estored to a medium gold. And oil rubbed to enhance the details of the frame. The brass turn switch has been replaced with a new one and the socket and wiring also. The bulb it would take is a standard size bulb that w ith a regular base. The wattage of 60 or less is recomm ended. Especially for the presentation of the color of the shade. Same pattern but the canopies on this pair are slightly different in size. The pair on the right is for Martha. They have smaller E-25 shades. The shades on this pair as pictured are XE-40 which match the double sconces. If you prefer the smaller E-25 Holophanes on your pair then I will ship that model instead. They are all brass from around 1912 plus. Please see the other listings if you need more sconces or pendants to match these. The shades for these are period Holophanes. Some of the shades for these sconces have rib fleabites no worse than the ones by my fingers in the pictures. These wall lamps have been washed. This is a very nice pair of brass wall sconces with original patrina in good working condition. There is one light per sconce. Hanging from the beautiful floral crest are tear drop and button lead crystal prisms. They measure 8" high to the top of the sleeve. 9" wide, and extend 7" out from the wall. On the shade hangers by the switches they have a little dent on the slot where the switch comes out as shown in picture 7 but. In overall good condition. Vintage Set of 3 Single Light Sconces
Up for sale is a set of 3 matching vintage cast iron single-arm sconces. The antique gold/bronze color was professionally applied and is very close to the original finish.We have clear coated them for added protection. New sockets. Covers and wiring were added for safety. They are hard wired for use since the switches were missing.They measure 12" long and project 6" from the wall. Three restored, matching sconces are getting hard to find so act fast. Circa 1910 Mission Matching Sconces Wall Lamps Brass Bronze single w/ Holophanes Please read everything carefully before purchasing. This buy it now price is for one of these 9 single sconces. They are all brass from around 1905-1916. Please see the other listings if you need more double sconces or pendants to match these. The shades for these are prismatic leaded glass period correct Holophanes marked E7. A few of the shades for these sconces have rib fleabites no worse than the one by my thumb in the tenth picture. But don't really stand out due to the design. The worst is pictured. I also have some of the satin E7 Holophanes(see the last picture) and I can ship you those instead-contact me for availability. These shadeholders were used from about 1905(patent dated) into the teens and not seen after WW1. The sconces are pictured in ... morea 1912 Peters catalog with different shades, Holophanes were not marketed by Peters. These wall lamps have been washed, paint and most dings removed, and waxed. The canopy bell is 5 inches in diameter and will cover a standard outlet box. The wall sconces stick out about 9 inches, they are about 11 inches top to bottom. They should match well with a rubbed bronze finish on your hardware. The paddle switches are 1910 era brass and porcelain Arrow fat boy sockets-that work well with a crisp click, and are cleaned and lubed. Antique Pair French Foliate Bronze Mirror Back Single Light Sconces
A pair of bronze mirror back wall sconces. This pair was assembled- we bought one of the sconces at a New Jersey Auction and were very surprised to find a matching sconce a week later at a Pennsylvania flea market. There are minor differences- if you examine the pictures you will see that the switch keys are different and the turnings on the brass columns are also a bit different. One finish is a gilt bronze- the other is a polished bronze. Unless you install them side by side you should not really notice the difference.
