Antique Tudor Revival Medieval Gothic Deco Nouveau Moe-Bridges Style Chandelier
This is an antique chandelier light fixture with five lights. It came out of a victorian home and was probably a replacement when the gaslights were taken out. It looks like a Moe-Bridges light fixture but I am not sure because I can't find any marks on it. It has been professionally rewired and works great. It is heavy and made of brass and painted metal. It has red. Green and gold colors in the decoration. There are some chips on some of the painted areas especially the finial that hangs down on the bottom of the fixture. I didn't want to change or alter the finish at all so I left it as is. I hung the fixture on a ladder to photograph it hanging but I am sure it would look much better hanging from the ceiling in your home. The actual body of the fixture measures 25" long and about 20" wide. The chain and ceiling cover ... moremeasure another 24" long. The fixture and chain measure approximately 49" long. Two Antique Moe Bridges Brass Floral Chandelier Hanging Ceiling Fixtures
This is a fantastic pair of Victorian Moe Bridges hanging ceiling fixtures. One fixture has five sockets surrounded by brass flowers with blue and red coloring on them. The other fixture has three sockets surrounded by the same flowers. Both have long curved and ribbed stems connecting the flowers to the main part of the frame which is made up of two round cast iron tiers designed and colored all the way around in red and blue. From the lower tier hangs six amber colored pendants from the larger chandelier and four of the same pendants from the smaller chandelier. Both fixtures hang from chains and have brass ceiling canopies with designs stamped into them and red and blue coloring. One has a bracket for ceiling mounting. But the other does not. It would screw into a standard bracket. Both fixtures have some dullness and spottiness on the ... morebrass in spots, but overall the larger one is in very good condition and the smaller one is good but has a little more spottiness. Photos 1-8 are of the larger fixture and the last four are of the smaller one. Both need to be rewired. Both have Moe Bridges Milwaukee, Wis. stamped on them. The larger fixture measures about 20" W and hangs down 30" from the ceiling. And the smaller one is about 18" W and hangs down 30" from the ceiling. They will be packed well with care and insured.

Wonderfully kept Art Deco 1928 era Chandelier and 6 Matching Sconces made of solid cast iron with original paint with barely a flaw anywhere. All are stamped in iron"Moe Bridges Milwaukee Wisconsin" Three wood type candle covers need a little repair but they are solid. Everything else is superb including the paint job. I see no rust though I could have missed some surface rust its possible like where it was not painted on back.Ready to hang. Most have new wiring. It weaves in and out through the arms of the chandelier and so becomes part of the aesthetic composition. Alas. The chandelier finial was long gone. I had the set in storage for ages while endlessly searching for the errant finial but it seemed cruel to keep such beauty hidden any longer. I did make a subtle change though. I took the flourish the chain hangs from and moved it to the bottom as a surrogate finial. It’s a change easily undone should the finial ever show up. Gorgeous antique pair of art deco or nouveau wall sconces. Cast metal by Moe Bridges of Milwaukee Wisconsin. Painted beige with bits of green on the leaves and other parts of the fixtures. Heavy cardboard candle covers over the sockets. Retain original finish, they have been rewired with new sockets, the original switches are still on the lights but are not hooked up. If you wished to use the switches again they should be tested, and probably new switches installed. We are pleased to offer this stunning. Antique(1920s) Moe Bridges chandelier. This is a beautiful, Art Deco chandelier. It features gilded iron with ornate and opened design. There is an intricate incised pattern which is repeated throughout the fixture. There are some lovely areas of polychrome in a dark teal green. This is most predominant on the exceptional top finial. This is a three light fixture. It is not slip shade and is not made for shades of any fashion. We have used antique reproduction light bulbs(not included) to complete the look. The fixture is signed inside the gorgeous ceiling plate/canopy. The chandelier is in very good condition. It has not been restored and still retains its original finish. used vintage late 1920 or early 1930 deco/moe bridges hanging light
This is a 5 slip shade fixture measures approximately 15" wide and 40" long from the ceiling.It has been in storage since 1987 at which time it was in working order. All original parts nothing has been replaced. I would re-wire it and replace some socket covers if I were going to use it today. On one of the shades there is a slight rough spot. It is hidden when the shade slides into the fixture. Also on the inside of the fixture there is a dark spot but cannot be seen from the bottom of the light. Moe Bridges Art Nouveau Wall Sconce Rough Crackle Type Glass Light Fixture
This listing is for a MOE BRIDGES Sconce. It has been rewired. This sconce is in excellent condition. It has the coolest glass I have ever seen. I don't know what to call it as I have never seen this type of glass before. The best description would be to say it is a ROUGH CRACKLE TYPE GLASS. It is made in one piece and is cylinder shape. The glass is not smooth. There is a texture to it and it is rough and jagged like, with long striations within the glass unlike typical crackle glass. The inside of the glass cylinder is smooth to the touch with a waviness to it. Finish may have been repainted, can't be sure. Please look at photos to determine this for yourself. Upon further inspection, I did notice a slight bite on the rim(the bottom part that sits in the metal) of the glass cylinder. THE LAST TWO PICTURES SHOW THIS. Antique Moe Bridges Polychrome Arts & Crafts 5 Light Ceiling Fixture Chandelier
This is a fantastic antique cast iron hanging ceiling fixture with original colorful polychrome finish that still looks very good but has some scuffs and very minor paint loss. Mainly around the top and along edges. The fixture needs to be re-wired with new sockets(there is nothing hanging from each arm; the sockets and wiring will need to be added. The style is bold and colorful with lots of angles, edges, scrolls, and other details. There is brown to accentuate the crevices and gold, red, and green to highlight other details. The chandelier is suspended from a large decorative piece that matches the bottom in style and color, and there is a sturdy metal loop attached to a piece that would have attached to a ceiling canopy at the top. The ceiling canopy is missing. The top surface of the chandelier is marked Moe Bridges, Milw. Wisc. and ... morenumbered, but I can't make out the full number. The top surface at the ends of the arms also has some putty residue that someone had added where the sockets came through the top. It is not necessary and can be removed scraped off. Nothing is broken, and the frame is perfectly useable. It measures 18" W x 22" from ceiling to bottom. It will be partially disassembled for shipping.

This a beautiful antique five-light Art Deco chandelier with original slip-in shades by Moe Bridges. Circa 1931, found in a house in downtown Nashville. Part of the Croydon series, this chandelier begins with a top finial that is ornamented with a leaf detail and swoops down to the body of the chandelier with polychrome crested bands. The silver plated body of the fixture features volute, foliate, and floral designs with silver column clusters between each slip shade. The original slipper shades display lattice work surrounding crested shields. The chandelier finishes with a complementary foliate embellished rounded base and a small acorn finial. The light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The factory finish is called Venetian Gold and there appears to be some green painted highlights. Stunning Moe Bridges Slip Shade Chandelier GOTTA SEE IT!!
This fine chandelier is from the 1930's. Slips 5 glass shades. Completely rewired with cloth wire and ready to use. measurements are 35 3/4" total height and 14 1/2" diameter. There is some tiny flea bites along the top edges of a few of the shades. I have a second chandelier with a old silver finish also 5 shades. Antique Deco Moe Bridges Wall Sconce Porch Light Glass & Iron Arts & Crafts
Antique dating from the 1920's Moe Bridges Exterior Wall Sconce. Porch Light in its as found condition. The original glass shade on the inside is a heavy/ thick amber color textured crackle glass type. The metal parts of the fixture appear to be made of heavy wrought and cast iron which seems to have been painted green at some point in time and it is now mostly gone and peeling off. We have no idea if the sconce was originally painted green or if someone painted it in this color. The detail on the metal is just exquisite and it almost has an"Arts and Crafts" look. On the back of the long bracket that fits on the wall. It is marked"Moe Bridges" Close to the opening at the bottom. There are four metal screws that attach the vertical sections that hold the glass shade in place. These screws, will open up the metal vertical ... morebrackets that will help release the glass insert and clean it. We left the sconce in its as found condition and did not attempt to take the glass out because we are not sure as to how the whole thing can be cleaned and refinished. We are selling it in its as found condition for the new owner to get it cleaned and restored. Please note that the iron is rusty in a lot of areas and looks rough with partial green paint that makes it look dirty and old. Also. The glass shade would definitely need to be cleaned. Up for auction is a Moe Bridges Art Deco 5 arm slip shade chandelier. Based on the information I have been able to find. I suspect this fixture is from the 20's or 30's. There is a number stamped on the canopy that appears to read 34188 A. The canopy is also stamped Moe Bridges. The piece that holds the canopy in place is missing. The fixture is in good condition with no cracks or damage to the metal. This auction includes(3) amber shades, each of which is in good condition. There appears to be a tiny bit of discoloration at the tips of the shades where they meet the metal frame. One shade also has about a 1/2" faint imperfection or scratch in the glass(not in the finish) They are dirty and dusty and I have not cleaned them. VINTAGE ART DECO.MOE BRIDGES SKYSRAPER CEILING FIXTURE! FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION, a sleek Moe Bridges Art Deco Skyscraper CEILING FIXTUE WITH A gorgeous crown top 6" fitter. The shade is moderately large at 13 inches long and 8 inches wide at its widest point and throws a muted custard/pinkish glow and is perfect. Beside the Chrysler Tower straight line look there are accents of stylized flowers cast in the glass to complete the Art Deco appearance. It is one of the latter. Quality projects that Moe Bridges designed for use in theaters, churches and other major architectural edifices during the 1920s and 1930s. At least 4 different sizes of this shade were made in this style of varying colors and trims. The shade is absolutely guaranteed to be vintage old and in excellent condition. It has the normal flea bites around the fitter opening. ... moreThe Crown top is of an absolutely flagrant"High" Art Deco ceiling fitter that was designed for the custard shade. The fitter is overall about 10 inches tall with a diameter at the crown top of about 9 1/2 inches. The ornamental trim that is immediately above the shade is 3 inches tall and the pierced. Ornamental finial extends it another 6 inches. The original heavy ceramic socket is rewired and has all the original retaining flanges and screws needed to light and hold the shade. It is rewired with new cloth covered wire that would have been used in that day. Long ago the ornamental iron was finished in antique gold. The fixture is sound and solid. There are no breaks. Cracks or repairs. There is no rust evident and this should last another 90 years with no modification or refurbishing. The total hang is 42 inches from the ceiling including 12 inches of chain. It can be shortened to 32 inches by removing chain links. The ceiling canopy is 5 inches wide and not original to the piece. It has a repair on the bottom band where the screw holds the rod.
