Impressive chandeliers I’ve ever offered, and abounds with amazing details: 1) The finial! Wow! Instead of the standard glass sphere. This chandelier has an intricate glass spear! Wow! 2) The five glass S-shaped arms have notches cut into the glass. 3) There are five additional arms which leap into the air. These hold a glass(not plastic! ring. The ring in turn holds double strands which swag out to the other arms. Elegant. Stunning! 4) The candle covers are not plastic. Nor cardboard. They are glass! Yes. Glass! I’ve never seen this before! 5) The glass bobeches(the disks under the candle covers) are unique. These are normally bowl-shaped but the bobeches here are more plate-like. And each has lovely details cut into the glass. 6) The candles sit in glass cups. And these, too, have lovely details cut into the glass. 7) Above the intricate glass stem is a large bobeche. And from this hangs alternating strands of short/long glass drops. The chandelier is impressive. Too, in its scale: it is 22-inches wide. The vertical wire is new. The covers are“held” in place by aluminum. Um, arms. There are also aluminum flourishes at the top and bottom of the chandeliers. There are six arms. Nice, and each holds six amethyst glass drops. These appear to be original. There is an additional drop in the center(these seem to be replacements) The pipe stems are covered in cloth cord. I also love how the arms sweep down and up. The chandeliers are an impressive 21-inches wide. They are 33-1/2-inches long(to the bottom of the cloth tassel) And 26-3/4-inches minus the tassel. If you need the fixtures shorter, I can reduce the length of the pipe stem a few inches. If you need them longer please contact me. I lusted after this exquisite pair for a long time. It was a thrill to at last purchase them. They are so very beautiful; I love just simply staring at them. Wholly restored and with new wiring. I’m very pleased to offer this rare and remarkable pewter and crystal chandelier! I’m uncertain as to the exact age of the chandelier. It might be very late 1930s. I believe it’s 1940s. I’m certain it’s not earlier or later. I’m certain. Too, as to its beauty. And rarity. I’ve never offered a chandelier like it. All the metal components appear to have a pewter finish. Nice. Each arm has distinctive crystals. The hurricane shades are particularly lovely; that they remain in situ is frankly amazing. I also like the expressive glass stem. The chandelier is clearly modeled after an Argand lamp. From Wikipedia: The Argand lamp was new to Thomas Jefferson in Paris in 1784. Which according to him gave off"a light equal to six or eight candles. These new lamps. While more complex and costly than the previous primitive oil lamps, were first adopted by the well-to-do but soon spread to the middle classes and eventually the less well-off as well. Argand lamps were manufactured in a great variety of decorative forms and quickly became popular in America. This fixture is. Obviously, a delightfully faux Argand lamp chandelier. The chain is original. As is the ceiling canopy. The exposed wire is cloth-covered like the original. I would say the the chandelier. At 17-1/2-inches wide. Is medium in scale. To me. Finding such a fixture is a special treat. And bringing life back to it is even better. It’s hard to express, but seeing the chandelier literally full of light once again makes

Antique Brass Primitive Candle Arm Chandelier Arrow French Colonial Lighting
Antique primitive brass candle chandelier up for auction. I wish it was marked. I know it is old. But don't know exact age or style. The arrow reminds me of a Colonial style. The crown feathery leafy thing makes me think French. Please e-mail if known, love the history part of this. It is all brass. It would be great for a person to re-do. It needs some arms. It holds five arms but only two are present. The two there are just rotating there, not loose and free but not tight. The arrow shaft is not straight on top or bottom. Which retains its original glass shades. Wow. And the shades are so lovely. And so, too, evocative of the 1930s. ... moreI love the dashing horizontal lines, the delicate leaf bands, and dots along the upper edges. Love it! I also love the scalloped edges just under each glass shades(and the circular cut-outs! The same scalloped detail just under the arm cluster, and on the ceiling mount. The chandelier is not restored yet. But will be shipped with all new wiring. The vertical wire will be cloth-covered like the original. The brass is now a bit dirty but will clean up beautifully.
