2 VINTAGE PAULDING PORCELAIN ART DECO BATHROOM WALL ELECTRIC LIGHT SCONCES
Here are 2 great 1930's art Deco porcelain wall sconce lights from Paulding. You will see in the pictures that they are in great condition. I have not tried to clean them and appear to be fully functional. The fastening screw is included and the pull chain porcelain end is also still intact. Very hard to find everything together. These also have the outlet on the bottom behind the pull chain. These can be wired 250v 10amp or 125v 15 amp. I have had some questions about the wiring so I have included 2 more pictures. The shade(6"w x 5"l) will protrude from the wall about 7- 1/2" when mounted. It is large enough to throw some good light over a mirror or vanity area. This sconce is in excellent vintage condition. With no chips or fleabites. It does have a few of the expected pinpoint marks inherent to the manufacturing process on its finish. You are offered this vintage bathroom fixture. It is circa 80- 90 years old. Still working! It came from a 1920‘s house. Condition is good, with porcelain and shade no cracks. A few paint spots on shade. The bottom shade rim has rough finish, typical of these shades. This has a pull chain socket, which works. I have plugged in a lamp to show that socket also works. The pic on back shows heavy duty cloth cord. Looks like people may have plugged something more heavy duty back in those days. Rewiring is recommended, as it is all original. Here is a set of three different art deco porcelain light fixtures. All are in nice shape with no cracks or chips in the porcelain. Two have the existing wiring with pull chains. One is just the porcelain piece itself. I have wiped down the front of them to give a better idea of what they look like. But have left the backs as they were. Pieces measure between 5 1/2" and 6 1/4" in height. The two on the right are white. A style typically found in 1920's/ 1940's era hallways and bathrooms. The piece has a white high gloss porcelain body with fired on platinum trim and measures about 7" H x 4-5/8" W and extends from wall about 4" It has a genuine McGill-Levolier toggle switch that can also operate as a pull switch. Item comes with original mounting stud/bolt and wall flange(see photos) Body has auxiliary appliance provision(slots) at bottom. But is not wired for same. No shade is included. Fixture body is in nice shape. No chips; the platinum trim shows wear and light switch works properly(switch has been tested with an ohm meter and lubricated) Power wires to ... morethe switch will need replacement(one screw on each wire) Metal parts are bright.
