Impressive chandeliers I’ve ever offered, and abounds with amazing details: 1) The finial! Wow! Instead of the standard glass sphere. This chandelier has an intricate glass spear! Wow! 2) The five glass S-shaped arms have notches cut into the glass. 3) There are five additional arms which leap into the air. These hold a glass(not plastic! ring. The ring in turn holds double strands which swag out to the other arms. Elegant. Stunning! 4) The candle covers are not plastic. Nor cardboard. They are glass! Yes. Glass! I’ve never seen this before! 5) The glass bobeches(the disks under the candle covers) are unique. These are normally bowl-shaped but the bobeches here are more plate-like. And each has lovely details cut into the glass. 6) The candles sit in glass cups. And these, too, have lovely details cut into the glass. 7) Above the intricate glass stem is a large bobeche. The covers are“held” in place by aluminum. Um, arms. There are also aluminum flourishes at the top and bottom of the chandeliers. There are six arms. Nice, and each holds six amethyst glass drops. These appear to be original. There is an additional drop in the center(these seem to be replacements) The pipe stems are covered in cloth cord. I also love how the arms sweep down and up. The chandeliers are an impressive 21-inches wide. They are 33-1/2-inches long(to the bottom of the cloth tassel) And 26-3/4-inches minus the tassel. If you need the fixtures shorter, I can reduce the length of the pipe stem a few inches. If you need them longer please contact me. I lusted after this exquisite pair for a long time. It was a thrill to at last purchase them. They are so very beautiful; I love just simply staring at them. Wholly restored and with new wiring. I’m certain it’s not earlier or later. I’m certain. Too, as to its beauty. And rarity. I’ve never offered a chandelier like it. All the metal components appear to have a pewter finish. Nice. Each arm has distinctive crystals. The hurricane shades are particularly lovely; that they remain in situ is frankly amazing. I also like the expressive glass stem. The chandelier is clearly modeled after an Argand lamp. From Wikipedia: The Argand lamp was new to Thomas Jefferson in Paris in 1784. Which according to him gave off"a light equal to six or eight candles. These new lamps. While more complex and costly than the previous primitive oil lamps, were first adopted by the well-to-do but soon spread to the middle classes and eventually the less well-off as well. Argand lamps were manufactured in a great variety of decorative forms and quickly became popular in America. This fixture is. Obviously, a delightfully faux Argand lamp chandelier. The chain is original. As is the ceiling canopy. The exposed wire is cloth-covered like the original. I would say the the chandelier. At 17-1/2-inches wide. Is medium in scale. To me. Stunning Antique Hand Cut Crystal Chandelier 5 Arms Dripping prisim drops etched
This stunning 5 arm crystal chandelier is just dripping with crystals! Even the arms are made of glass! It has a partial sticker on it that reads IMPORTED Hand Made and the partial name EAOCRY but the rest is gone so I don't know the maker. If anyone does please let me know. The chandelier measures about 18 inches tall and 22 inches wide. The crystal ball on the bottom measures 1 and 9/16 inches. There are about 55 of the 3 inch drop crystals on it. Thee are 5 of the 1 inch square crystals holding 10 buttom chains each measuring about 14 inches. There are 5 etched votive cups that are 6 inches tall and about 4 inches across at the top. One of the votives is cracd but not all the way broked and I will try to pack it so it isn't broken completely in shipping. This chandelier is heavy and in great condition. The wires appear to be fabric ... morebut look to be in great condition. There are also 5 bulbs included but not pictured. I don't know if they work or not as I have no way to test it. Theer are a couple button and one 3 inch drip extra, I can't find out where they are missing from. Antique Art Deco Period Crystal Glass Chandelier 5 Swirl Arms
Beautiful all glass crystal chandelier from the 1930's. It has 5 arms and comes with 20 eight sided prisms and 8 3 sided prisms that I took off for the pix as they are different. 6 of the 3 sided prisms were on the top and one was on an arm. There are holes for 46 total prisms. 8 per arm and 6 on top. There is no noticed cracks or chips on the arms or body. A couple of the prisms have small chips. The chandelier was not tested. But all fixtures and wiring looks good. It was in operation until recently from the estate it comes from. The chandelier measures 22" wide and 18" tall. Each arm can swing 90 degrees left or right. Very nice piece that pictures don't do justice.
