Pottery Stoneware Chamber Pot Slop Bucket Metal Bale Wooden Handle
This is a vintage pottery or stoneware chamber pot or more accurately slop bucket. It measures. Not including the handle, 9" tall by about 9 1/4" in diameter across the top. This is made of a heavy pottery substance and the unglazed bottom rim looks like a crockery material. It has an overall pattern molded into the body of the bucket but there are the customary flaws as was common in common everyday pieces. There are a couple of stress lines that seem to affect the glaze only on the outside in photo two you can see the worst one. There is also one in the outside bottom and a small one inside. These lines DO NOT CARRY THROUGH to the opposing side of the pottery piece. There are also excess clumps of clay in the design that have been glazed over and small bubbles that have popped in the glaze during the firing process. Please zoom ... morein and look at all the photos closely. It also has some major chips around one handle on the outside"ear" that holds the wire in place, see photo 5. The wire handle is still intact and functioning so it really hasn't created a major problem. The handle is wooden and has been painted black and has lots of wear to the paint from everyday use. The outside rim of the pot also has some of the glaze rubbed off from the wire rubbing against it. It has no other chips, cracks, crazing or stains. Unusual Lovely Antique Victorian Semi-Porcelain Slop Bucket & Lid Floral Design
This auction is for a Fabulous Antique Victorian Semi-Porcelain Slop Bucket and Lid. It is Beautifully designed and decorated with a mix of high gloss areas in white and a matte gray coloring with orange and green flowers and leaves and gold accent trimming. It has a lion and unicorn backstamp that is blurred and hard to identify. I believe it is from one of the many potteries that made semi-porcelain toiletware and chamber sets in the late 19th century in and around Trenton. N.J. Either way. Given the form and feel it is clearly Victorian and dates to the late 1800s. The piece is in very good condition. Especially for its age. There are no chips on either the bucket or the lid. The mouth edge of the bucket has three very tight and short hairlines(see last two photos) and some faint rub marks. They do not detract from the overall appeal of ... morethis Great Find. There is fine, even crazing as expected from pieces of this era and it only adds to the character and authenticity. The piece is very thick and heavy. 1891-1902 Doulton Burslem Tudor England Slop Bucket Blue & White Orig. Handle
Up for Bid Antique Slop Bucket HUGE Doulton Burslem Tudor England Blue& White Original Wicker Handle 10" Tall. 10" Diameter and 13" Diameter Including Handles I wasn't able to find any information about this pot or its beautiful pattern. Perhaps it's a rare find. The coronet was probably added to the earlier mark c. 1886 to mark the appointment of Henry Doulton as'Potter to H.R.H. The Prince of Wales' later King Edward VI 1) ENGLAND was added underneath after 1891. This mark continued in use until 1902. It appears to have been used instead of B.3 especially on bone china products and on the more expensive earthen wares. A simplified version showing only the coronet on a flat base and the word DOULTON was also used. Wonderful antique condition!

Here's something you don't see every day. This is an ironstone lid for a slop bucket from a Victorian washstand set. Used to keep the waste water from splashing out of the bucket when you went to empty it. These are hard to find because they were easily broken. For sale a beautiful Doulton Burslem large chamber pot with lid and no chips or cracks. This pail was made around 1881-1902 and was the first 5223 made under the Crown mark used for that time period. It is 10 1/2 inches tall with lid and around 13 inches wide. The colors are light beige. Cream and light green and the design is leaves and flowers. The bottom has the initial of painter The#5223R which relates to that period of 1881 to 1902 and the Doulton Crown mark The lid have a hole under the handle and a handle on either side. Up for auction is an antique porcelain transfer ware chamber pot or slop bucket with a cover or lid. This is a really nice piece with only a few areas that need mentioning. There is a bit of crazing at the top of the bowl. There is a smear in the blue transfer at the edge of the cover. There are some minor flea bite chips on the rim of the cover. All of these areas show clearly in the photos. So please look closely to make your own determination of the condition. This chamber pot is 9" in diameter and is 11" across to the handle. Old ironstone slop pot/bucket with lid bail wood handle American vintage antique
Unmarked white/ivory ironstone slop pot/bucket with matching lid. Which I believe is an old, original American item dating to the 1800s. Stands 12" to top of knob on lid. Without lid. Pail is 9.5" tall. 9" widest diameter. Weighs almost 9 pounds as it sits. There is one hairline I see that goes over the top of the body. On the outside. It goes straight for about 2" then 2" more to one side. I only measured about 2.25" of the hairline long on the inside. The lip of the lid that fits into the body has one piece glued back and some other nicks/chips that don't show when the lid is on. There are pocks that were probably there since this was made. Old ironstone embossed white lid only chamber slop pot bucket vintage antique
I have a lid only that was probably for a chamber or slop pot. White on white old embossed ironstone or china. 9" diameter. 1.75" high; 2.5" high to top of knob. Measuring on the outside of the rim at the bottom of the angle. The widest is about 8" diameter. Measuring inside of the raised rim is about 7" diameter. I find no chips. Cracks, chips or really any crazing. Some teeny inclusions and pocks normally seen in this old stoneware. I've tried to show the embossed pattern around the handle. Which is about 4.5" diameter. The outer edge of the lid has 4. Approximately 2" sections of scallops that have a curlicue of embossing at each end. Hard to photograph.
