Antique white chamber pot made in the late 1800's Very nice condition for its age! Bowl measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 1/4 inches tall Handle ... moreextends out another 2 inches and is approx. 4 inches tall Marked ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA with the stamp of the lion. Crown and unicorn, with CHARLES MEAKIN ENGLAND under it. This printed mark was used on the earliest pottery made at the Burslem Works location. From 1870 to 1882. There are a few expected minor anomalies inherent with hand-made pottery. The inside is quite clean. Close inspection reveals very minor scratches on the bottom from use over 130 years ago. The glazing on the exterior is very nice There are no chips on the top edge. As shown in the photos. There is a very small crack at the top right side of the handle that appears to have been glued, possibly prior to glazing. This is not very obvious to the eye when on display, and in my opinion it is a minor visual issue. I have tried to be as complete as possible in my description. But I'm not an antique expert and have assessed this chamber pot based on the research I have done. Please look carefully at the photos. As they are part of the description. Because of the age of this item. It will be sold AS IS and returns not accepted. so if you have any questions at all about the condition of this piece, please be sure to ask before purchasing so there are no surprises. This will be very carefully packed. And shipped within 2 days of payment to your location anywhere within the continental United States. Thank you very much for your interest!

Antique 1800's Royal Ironstone Chamber Pot Wilkinson& Hulme Burslem. England Please excuse the camera flash! Circa 1880's. There is one small chip on the base ring(see last picture) No other chips or cracks. I did clean this with soap and a soft cloth, I was afraid to use anything abrasive but it does still need some cleaning inside. Nice and clean on the outside. Measures 8 1/2" in diameter, 5" tall. The makers mark underneath is the royal arms surmounted by the words ROYAL PATENT IRONSTONE and beneath. In three lines, WILKINSON& HULME, LATE RICHARD ALCOCK, BURSLEM, ENGLAND. see 5th and 6th pictures for mark) I do combine shipping on multiple purchases.
Royal Ironstone China Alfred Meakin Ltd Chamber Pot W/Lid-England-Late 1800's
These chamber pots are very collectible and rare. Especially with the lid. This one also has a crocheted lid cover. There is a chip on the lid(mostly on the underside) and a few small cracks on the lid. The pot has no chips, cracks, damage, or repairs. The pot is 5" high and with lid approx 7 1/2" high. The bowl part is approx 8 5/8" across and from the handle across is approx 11" I really like this piece but we will be moving in 3 years and we are downsizing. This is a very heavy piece.

I got this antique ironstone chamber pot from an estate sale in Ohio. This was quite dirty and I cleaned it up some. It had a note taped inside that I will send along with it. It tells who it belonged to and has it dated 1824. One side of the pot has some black stains that look like mildew. It isn't pitted. So it's possible this may come out with further cleaning. In excellent original antique condition with use wear on Interior. 1 spot glaze miss on lid. The pot measures about 9 inches diameter not including handle. lid has a separated chip at RIM. This you can kind of see in the 5th image at RIM at about 8:30 position. Some irregularities or loss at the very foot of the base rim. As shown. Some UNMELTED sand at Rim. Antique white chamber pot made in the late 1800's Very nice condition for its age! Bowl measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 1/4 inches tall Handle extends out another 2 inches and is approx. 4 inches tall Marked ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA with the stamp of the lion. Crown and unicorn, with CHARLES MEAKIN ENGLAND under it. This printed mark was used on the earliest pottery made at the Burslem Works location. From 1870 to 1882. There are a few expected minor anomalies inherent with hand-made pottery. The inside is quite clean. Close inspection reveals very minor scratches on the bottom from use over 130 years ago. The glazing on the exterior is very nice There are no chips on the top edge. As shown in the photos. There is a very small crack at the top right side of the handle that appears to have been glued, possibly prior to glazing. This ... moreis not very obvious to the eye when on display, and in my opinion it is a minor visual issue. I have tried to be as complete as possible in my description. This very nice Victorian chamber pot is an English classic as it was part of every home in England during the Victorian period and until modern sewage systems introduced the flush toiled around 1900. This pot may also have been brought to the US during this same period and used as well. It is made from Ironstone with a fine high gloss finish and has a beautiful transparency to it(pictured#1. 2, 4) The under glaze is white and the over glaze is very thick making it transparent looking. It has some vertical lines around it giving it style and a broad serif handle(pictured# 3) It has a raised, curled rim around the top as these pots were used to catch poddie and were usually kept in a wooden commode uncovered. Covered commodes were often much more ornate and sometimes painted with colored glazes and floral patterns these were kept outside of ... morea commode most often in the bedroom near wash stands. From Johnson Bros. England, this is a lovely lidded white chamber pot made of Royal Ironstone China. The lid has a scalloped edge on opposite sides and measures 9-1/ in diameter. The pot has a nicely shaped and detailed handle with embossed vertical lines on the bottom half. It measures 10" wide with the handle and 5-1/18" high. Overall height with the lid on is approx 7-1/4" In excellent condition with no cracks. Chips or crazing.
