Wonderful Old W. P. Labelle China Chamber Pot with Lid
This is a wonderful marked W. P. Wheeling Pottery) LaBelle China Chamber Pot. It has wonderful bottom wear marks and is finely decorated and hand painted. This chamber pot is most likely dated during the late 1800's and was made in West Virginia. The lid has a very old chip off the outer edge as can be seen in the photograph. The pot and lid have surface glazing cracks. The pot has one 2 1/4 inch crack inside and out and a one 1 inch crack on the top going inside the pot. This one is a surface while the first is on both sides. The pot is real rich in color and shows handling wear. The lid measures 9 inches across, the pot stands 5 inches tall and 8 1/4 inches across. This chamber pot and lid are very strong and solid despite the cracks. It really is a beautiful dated piece.

Primitive Vintage Chamber Pot"royal Ironstone China Warranted" 8 3/4" across. Plus the handle Pot is 5 1/4 inches Tall With Lid. Measures 7 1/4" tall plus the lid handle. Light Grey/Cream color. Lid looks to have been dipped in some sort of brown stain(don't know why anyone would do that" Looks OK I see a small crack in the pot near the handle(not a big deal) There are a couple of cracks in the lid also not a big deal but there is a good sized chip along the edge of the lid. This was my mother in law's& we got it when she passed. My wife used it in the bathroom for spare TP. Kinda neat Would also make a great plant pot. These chamber pots are very collectible and rare. Especially with the lid. This one also has a crocheted lid cover. There is a chip on the lid(mostly on the underside) and a few small cracks on the lid. The pot has no chips, cracks, damage, or repairs. The pot is 5" high and with lid approx 7 1/2" high. The bowl part is approx 8 5/8" across and from the handle across is approx 11" I really like this piece but we will be moving in 3 years and we are downsizing. This is a very heavy piece.

The base decoration has some fading. The lid is brighter in color probably as the base was washed frequently and the lid was not! Also, the underside of the lid has some discoloration on one side that you can see in the picture. The base and lid measure 8 1/2" in diameter; 10 1/4" including the handle. It stands 8" tall. This piece was handed down through my family, but I do not know its exact age. The chips that are present are unnoticeable as you look at the set. The chamberpot lid has 3 chips on the underside of the lid. The chamberpot has one chip under the lip. And also one chip on the"foot" Please take note of pictures 5-7 for these blemishes. The Pitcher and Bowl have no chips. But the glaze is crackled as often is the case with old china. Bowl is 16 inches in diameter. Pitcher is 11 inches high. Up for auction is an Early Edwin M. Knowles China Co. Semi Vitreous Chamber Pot Pitcher. Marked on bottom 810. No chips, cracks on the pitcher but there is crazing which does not take away from its beauty! The gold trim does show wear for its age. The Lid is original(rare to also still have the lid) and also has crazing along with two chips and the handle top has been repaired(see pics) and shows rust like marks underneath. Thank you for considering this auction. This chamber pot belonged to my late mother and is part of her estate I am selling. She collected chamber pots and used them as décor all around her home. She especially loved chamber pots with lids. This chamber pot is pale yellow and was manufactured by the K T& K(Knowles Taylor and Knowles) China Company in East Liverpool. Ohio. This style of pottery may be called yellow Queensware. If so, this item could have been produced in 1872 or before according to the information I read. Yellow Queensware was phased out by K T& K China after that time. All dimensions are very close but may not be exact to the letter of the law. From handle to handle the pot is about 14 inches wide and 12.5 inches tall which includes the lid. Without the lid the pot is 10 inches tall. The base is 7.25 inches wide ... moreif one is going to display this on a pedestal or stand of some sort. The opening at the mouth of the pot is 7 inches wide. There are no odors at all. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. There is a minute loss of gold trim in some areas. There is a tiny dark line on the belly of the pot, under the glaze, possibly from the manufacturing process.see last picture) I think it is stray gold trim color. I COULD BE WRONG BUT I WOULD BET THIS IS A JOHNSON BROTHERS PIECE. I HAVE A JOHNSON BROS. ENGLAND CHAMBER POT AND IT HAS THE VERY SAME FEEL AND BRILLIANCE AS THIS LID. INSIDE EDGE TO EDGE IS 7.25 THE OUTSIDE EDGE TO EDGE IS 10" THE INSIDE"LIP" IS.75" THAT IS FROM THE INSIDE RIM TO THE OUTSIDE RIM. IF THIS IS NOT CLEAR PLEASE EMAIL ME AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO DESCRIBE WHATEVER IS NOT CLEAR. IT IS A LOVELY PIECE AND I HOPE IT CAN FIND IT'S"BOTTOM HALF" OUT THERE!
