Cabriole legs, carved feet and beautifully ... morecarved across the front of the seat as well as the backrest with a shell and flower motif as shown. These two chairs are in very nice condition for their age as represented with multiple pictures. The chairs are both tight and sturdy with strong, tight rush bottom seats that were probably replaced in the latter 20th century. The chairs each stand 38 inches tall to the top of the back and measure 21 1/2 inches wide by 22 inches front to back. The seats are 15 inches in height and are 20 1/2 inches wide by 18 1/2 inches, front to back. The back rest and across front of the seats on the chairs are beautifully carved and appear to have hand turned stretchers. These chairs appear to be made of walnut, with rush bottom seats. There is a delightful Louis VX influence to the design of this wonderful pair of antique French country chairs and are a terrific buy, ready for use in your home or place of business. Here is a fabulous pair of early to mid-twentieth century French country arm chairs with rush bottom seats. Cabriole legs, carved feet and beautifully carved across the front of the seat as well as the backrest with a shell and flower motif as shown. These two chairs are in very nice condition for their age as represented with multiple pictures. The chairs are both tight and sturdy with strong, tight rush bottom seats that were probably replaced in the latter 20th century. The chairs each stand 38 inches tall to the top of the back and measure 21 1/2 inches wide by 22 inches front to back. The seats are 15 inches in height and are 20 1/2 inches wide by 18 1/2 inches, front to back. Regrettably I am selling my prized lounge chairs due to financial reasons. They are beautiful and comfortable and will make someone very happy. Up until recently I didn't know who made them. However a recent eBay auction of the exact same type of chair shed light onto who designed them and who produced them. They were designed by IB Kofod Lawsen for Selig. Search ebay's completed listing for"Selig Chairs" and you will see a pair that just sold for $1499.99 on December 2nd 2013. This pair had reupholstered cushions and webbing. I am almost certain the pair I am selling retain the original upholstery and webbing. They are both in great condition. Great pair of vintage DCM chairs by Charles Eames for Herman Miller. Middle 1950's production( judging from the foil labels) Both chairs are in very good vintage condition. One chair has had the shock mounts for the backrest repaired at some point but the bond seems to be holding well. Both chairs have unusual metal glides. One chair has a small chip to the veneer on the top front of the seat back. The other chair has a chip on the underside of the front edge which isn't visible when upright.
