The bear has glass eyes and a red tongue. The top of the table is made of solid walnut. Wonderful piece and in excellent condition no missing parts or any other defects. It is boot carved from lindenwood and stained a rich walnut brown. It has simulated hob nails and a hole in the sole. It has a match striker on the right outside and was carved in Brienz. Switzerland as a souvenir for the city of Bern, the capitol of Switzerland. Hence it bears its name. The boot is 2 1/8" tall. 1 3/4" wide, 4 1/4" long. Very good used condition. His fur is finely outlined. As is the fur in his tail. The barrel around his neck is held up by carved straps and he also has a blanket strapped to his back. He is obviously carved to look like a rescue dog. He stands on a small platform that is 2/3" tall. The total height is 4 1/2" It is 2" wide and 6" deep(long) He is carved from lindenwood and stained a rich walnut brown. He is in excellent condition. The wood has a rich deep patina.
