I suspect, they could be unscrewed, wet, flattened gradually, maybe some surface molding applied, then a new paint treatment, and this would be an AMAZING cabinet. Antique Primitive 2 Piece Step Back Cupboard
Offering a vintage hand made Mixed Soft wood stepback kitchen cabinet with two glass doors. I obtained the cabinet at an Estate Sale in Reedsville. Pa. Cabinet appears to have been made in the early 1900's which would be consistent with the style, construction, finish, hardware and with other items obtained at the sale. Picture 2 as it looks today in our kitchen. The top half features nice moldings and fancy gingerbread decoration and has all original period hardware drawer pulls and door hardware. The door frames have darker wood which enhances the appearance. The base measures 20 1/2" by 44 1/2" There are 2 interior shelves each 18 1/4" deep The top measures 47" by 13" and has 4 interior shelves each 9 1/2" deep. All shelves are 3/4" thick planks. Assembled the unit measures 78" tall by 47" ... morewide by 20 1/2" deep. The interior of the drawers measure 18" by 16" by 5 1/8" deep. 3 1/2" piece of molding on left side rear of side panel is split. See detail in picture 5. You will never notice it when unit is in use. Other than that normal wear and tear for an early 20th century hand made kitchen cupboard. This is a Pa hand made primitive item in very good condition.

Front has two glass doors. Stands 83" tall. Top measures 47" tal,39 1/2" wide, 12" deep. Base measures 36" tall, 41 1/2" wide, and 19" deep. Bottom right side door has split edge repair(old repair) as shown in pic#4. It is rustic, primitive and has lots of character. Has oak slatted back. It is a sturdy, well built cabinet. This is a wonderful Primitive Antique Cupboard. It would date back to the late 1800's and this stately piece is unusual because it steps back with a nice ledge and has 3 drawers. the surface is old white paint with the doors shabby craped down to the older green color. It really has a great LOOK! I like it with the doors open for displaying my collectibles. It is 77.5" tall x 50" wide at that middle shelf. The shelf is 9.5" out which is more than most stepback cupboards. At that area it is 22" out from the wall. It has been used as you can see with a mouse hole here and there. Old tin lids cover a few of them. It is really heavy and all one piece so I found it hard to move. Very. Very Heavy! The cupboard is in the Eastlake" style" with circular top shelf popular in the 1880's cupboards. Very quaint and looks wonderful with other doll's early furniture. This piece was passed down to us by a relative. She had it in her kitchen for many years. It comes in two pieces. It measures 83 inches height. 45 inches width and 16 inches depth(base) The top part measures 49 inches height, 44 inches width and depth is 12 inches. Both are original to this piece. I love the design of the wood cut outs that are part of the top section. Has two doors on top. Glass is original. Has a few bites to the wood in places. This is an antique step back cupboard from Indiana probably made by the homeowner in the mid 1800's. It's got a very unusual work area that pulls out for more space. See the pictures. This is a great old stepback cabinet from the Appalachia area West Virginia it has a great old patina I think this is the original finish that someone put a coat or 2 of varnish over some years ago! Square nail construction! The hinge pockets for the doors were a lot worn out as often is the case with cabinets of this age! The only way I could secure the doors without changing hinge location was by attaching with long screws the hinges are period appropriate but not original! 2 pc Oak Step Back Mercantile/General Store/Apothecary Cupboard
Wonderful late 19th century early 20th century cabinet. This came out of a beautiful Meadville. PA estate. Step back cabinet is just under 8"L(95" and it's 85 5/8"H. The base is 25 3/4"D and 33 1/2"H. The top piece is 17 1/4"D. All doors are fully functional and slide on inset wheels/rollers on a track. The glass in upper doors appear to be original because the glass is wavy. The one side of the cabinet is finished nicely in raised panel oak. Other end must have abutted a wall because it's not finished in oak. All nine drawers are fronted in oak but the cavities are galvanized steel with wood on the back. The back of the cabinet is finished in sheet metal. This is a beautiful piece and could be used together or because the top piece is finished so nicely on the bottom and top you could separate it and ... moreuse the top piece as a bookshelf and the bottom piece as a kitchen island. All shelves and doors disassemble for easy transport. It is definitely a piece of local history and would look great in your home. These type of cabinets are getting harder to find especially in this beautiful condition.

I honestly do not know what kind of wood it is. It appears to be an assortment. It is stained a dark walnut color stain, but it is definitely not walnut wood. It should be walnut wood due to the date though. What you are buying today is an old step back china closet in the Victorian style. It has two glass doors on top that appear to both be the wavy glass. On the inside are four adjustable shelves where someone has taken a lot of effort to put fabric to make it nice and bright white. It comes with a key. It looks to be all original. When you open up the ogee molded drawer it is divided and all felt lined. In the base of the cupboard is a single shelf interior and is also linen lined. I can tell that the bottom has southern pine panels. So this was probably an empire style piece back in the 1860s or 70s that has been stripped down and re-done. It would look great in a country or Victorian home. The overall size is 41 inches wide on the base, 20 inches deep, and 35 inches high to the top of the base, 37 inches wide on the top, 12 inches deep and 50 inches high to the top and approximately 86 inches high overall. Antique Step Back Bookcase Cupboard 2 Drawers Dbl Casters 19th Century Two Doors
Hi. This wonderful bookcase needs just a little TLC to be an exceptional piece. The dark wood is gorgeous. My best guess is that is is probably a Civil War era piece or possibly earlier. The left door has a vertical latch on the bottom and the right door has a lock mechanism. I replaced the bottom left pane of glass with the existing nails and woodwork intact. Two supports for the fully adjustable shelves have been fashioned out of plywood and do not match the existing supports. One drawer handle is a little loose. The dovetails are hand cut. Not made by machine. The panels in the back could use some work. I did not snug the crown all the way down so the dowels will come out easily when sold, so I can't comment on how tight it is in the rear. The top panes of glass are the original wavy glass. Both bottom panes have been replaced. The ... moredimensions are 87 1/4 x 52 and 19 1/2 inches.deep.This is a beautiful looking piece of furniture. Don't miss out. This is complete and very old! European Walnut Step Back Cupboard from the Victorian era. Incredible ornate hand carved floral motifs on doors. Glass and crown. There are 2 tiny tips of leaves that are broken off on glass motif as well as a little separation in a vine. It has inlaid inch squares of walnut on top, above the drawers. Here is a small step back cupboard. Open top with a shelf, two drawers below. It is about 15" tall, 10 3/4" wide. And 7" deep. There are edge chips, the handles are missing parts, some cracks, wear to the finish. And some areas a bit out of line from shrinkage or other age related issues(the top drawer does not quite close. Antique Solid Wood Step Back Cupboard with Wavy Glass and Fold Out / 3 Drawer
You are viewing an original 2 piece hard wood antique step back cupboard. It has two wavy glass doors with three shelves for china. It has eight small cubby holes at the bottom for letters. Etc. there are four nice drawers above these with original pulls. One pull is missing. There are three dove tailed drawers on the bottom. the top one being the smallest. They have original wooden knobs. There is a charming fold out piece with pull out support under the doors for writing. The left door is missing a piece of hardware/latch. They do have a key hole as do the drawers. But are missing the key. There is a small area on one side where a sliver of wood has been regaled. It measures approximately six inches by one inch. a true craftsman could more than likely make it invisible. There is normal wear reflecting it's age, but no other areas of ... moreproblems. The cabinet measures six foot tall by 37 inches wide. it has nice crown moulding on the top reflecting ally he detail on this unusual piece.
