Made from solid oak this lovely piece is hugely multi-functional and will work in any room you need storage in. A single door armoire with turned and reeded column supports to either ... moreside of the mirror door. There is a drawer underneath with a slide to keep out dust. And four(4) adjustable shelves inside with another drawer under one of the shelves. The finish is original and a good mid-brown colour with a lovely mellow patina which has developed over many years of loving use. There is a twin bolt lock which is still operable. This is a tall armoire with a height of 226cm(just under 8 foot) and is 107cm in width. The armoire is 57cm deep. The interior shelves each measure 96cm in length and are 38cm deep. This armoire is in good condition and the only issue is some spotting to the mirror. Which is so"in" today. It is possible that the back of the mirror has been replaced at some stage during its lifetime of approximately 115 years. However, age-appropriate wear and character marks should be expected. Armoires such as this prove to be extremely functional and useful for today's living. Blending well with most interiors. The lucky buyer will be extremely pleased. A beautiful vintage French Louis XV style corner cabinet. Which is a real spacesaver for displaying china, glass or collectables. It is most unusual in design, featuring two sections- a display area to the top and a rounded, enclosed cabinet to the base. It has some age, but is not as old as many of our pieces. We would date it to ... morec1960/70. The corner cupboard is of solid oak. And oak veneer construction. The top display section has an impressive and substantial shell design carved central feature, and applied, curved astrigal-type decoration to the glass door. There are three triangular-shaped shelves for displaying those precious treasures. The base is drum-like in design with a large rounded front. There is wonderful carving to the base. With a recessed, shaped panel. The piece stands on carved, cabriole legs to the front. It retains it's original fittings and hinges. The cabinet has an overall height of 198cm. The top display area is 84cm high. 67.5cm wide across the body and 76.5cm wide at the pelmet. It is 39cm deep. The base section is 84cm high, 77cm wide and 60cm deep. It presents as a real storage and display solution requiring little space! This is a charming piece! It is in lovely vintage condition. The only condition issue to mention is one section of the veneered timber missing from the side at the rear- it is of NO consequence. As it is not visible when the piece is in place in a corner. The piece is of mahogany construction. And features relatively straight lines, a wavefront drawer to the top, and two large cabinet doors which open to reveal four shelves and the base, making five shelves in all. ... moreThe top shelf is recessed for increased visibility. The piece stands on bracket feet, and also features rounded sides to the drawer, and flame mahogany drawer fronts for a classically elegant look. Atop the cabinet is its original piece of solid marble, in tones of grey and white. This gorgeous piece would be ideal as a storage unit. Bookcase, linen press or feature piece in any room of the home. The cabinet has a wonderful soft mellow tone to its original patina, and just looks classy! The piece measures 125cm wide across the marble top, and is 155.5cm in overall height. It is 47cm deep on the timber body and 54cm deep with the marble top. It is a very pretty.
