Antique carved light oak wall cabinet
Carved Victorian Gothic style light oak wall cabinet measuring 60cm high. 33cm wide and 14cm deep. The key is missing but I feel sure that one could be found which would fit. The left door fastens with a push-up metal piece, and the right door stays closed. Inside there is a small drawer and two narrow side shelves. The carving is very intricate. Since the cabinet is just 14cm deep, it does not protrude much. I used it for years as a bathroom cabinet in a Victorian house, but it would look just as good in a modern setting. There is a very slight bit of damage to the base- scarcely noticeable, really, and there is a mark on the top shelf which could be sanded off if desired. To be honest, I think it is best to have it show signs of wear from a period of over 100 years use! From its weight I think postage would be about £14, but obviously ... moreif postage is less, the difference would be refunded. It could be picked up from me if desired. I would not post it outwith the UK because that would be very expensive.

Hand crank telephone. It was made by the Kellogg Switchboard& Supply Co. of Chicago, Illinois. It has a cathedral style top. The front of the cabinet has a pedestal/shelf with a catch for a pencil where the owner could write down messages. Seen on the mouthpiece is what looks to be the number"874387-L" and"KELLOGG. When you open the inside, seems to have all working parts and a paper for instructions on how to install and work the phone. The hook switch pops back up when it is released. This is a wonderful little oak hanging cupboard with two display shelves and a lovely cabinet with more shelves behind the doors. It has wonderful hand laid dentition work above the upper shelf as shown in close ups and it can be used standing as shown or hanging on the wall. It stands 28 1/2 inches tall by 23 inches wide by 8 3/4 inches front to back. The top display shelf surface is 26 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches front to back while the lower larger shelf surface is 17 1/2 inches tall and 8 3/4 inches front to back. Behind the two gorgeous oak cabinet doors is cabinet space 13 3/4 inches tall by 20 inches wide by 8 1/4 inches front to back. Which is divided in half on one side into two shelves with 6 1/2 inches clearance. The European styling of ... morethis wall cabinet suggests that it probably originates from the continent. It is made of oak and with age use and polishing has developed a lovely patina. The cupboard stands on a simple plinth some 2cm deep. As such it could be free standing or wall mounted. The arched door is firm on its original hinges and is secured by a little brass clasp. The arched glass is mirrored in the two side windows. The glass is finished with surface mount leading. The top of the cabinet is finished with a heavy oak carving of fruit and an ornate and heavy pelmet runs around the top. The cabinet is five sided with two final slim panels running inward to the back section. The back is panelled and has two old brass brackets for wall mounting. The top is finished in five sections of oak. The interior is divided by one shelf the front edge of which is finished in old gold gilt. Dimensions: the cabinet stands 43cm tall including the front carving. The front section measures 26.5cm wide. The cabinet is 18.5cm deep with a full width of 45cm. DESCRIPTION I would like to point out that this cabinet has not been cleaned up or refinished. There is some trim that needs to be repaired also. I will leave that up to the new owner. I am not an expert on wood but looks like Oak to me with the exception of the back and possibly the shelves. I see no veneer. Outside measures 22" tall. 18" wide and 6 3/4" deep. Top piece measures 19 7/8" wide and 7 5/8" deep. Inside shelves are 6 1/2" deep. Inside drawer measures 16 1/4" wide, 5 3/4" front to back and 3" deep. Back has holes for hanging on a wall or can stand alone. Looks like possibly handmade. This came out of an old house in what is now our Historic District. It was removed from a Hanover County Virginia estate. It measures 26-3/4" tall x 14-1/8" wide x 6" deep. Made in the early 20th century. It features a darkened and worn dovetailed case, a single door with a reverse beveled panel, the original brass hinges and knob/latch on the door, a clean interior with four shelves that have from 3-3/4" 9" clearance between them, and a back with two holes for easy hanging. This is a perfect salvage medicine chest– not often you come across a nice primitive oak piece like this. Especially with the original mirror in place and damage free. This old thing is heavy– weighing in at 25lbs before packaging. But since shipping is free, that is not your worry. The cabinet measures 23 1/4” across the front and stands 26” tall. The medicine door measures 22” x 16 1/8” And the mirror is 10 1/2” x 15 3/4” The primitive latch on the door works great and the mirror is securely ... morein place. The mirror shows no damage– no surface marks or scratches and no poisoning, cloudiness, or silver paint loss to the back(it has been protected by a piece of wood all these years) There are three removable shelves inside. They all measure 15 3/4” x 4 1/2” are are about 3/8” thick. They are also all painted a light tan color. The shelves are held in place by 2 tiny. But sturdy, nails on each side. They are spaced evenly and the wood is strong enough to hold heavy items. The front. The inside, and around the side has all old paint, several layers, in fact– pink, white, tannish yellow. Some of the paint is still peeling off in places. The back of the cabinet has no backing. The frame measures 23 1/4” x 17 1/2” and each piece of oak is 7/8” thick. You can choose to keep it backless and use the wall as the background. Or cover it with another piece of wood and paint it to match. This piece is full of little nicks and dings. Antique Chippy White Paint Bathroom Medicine Wall Cabinet W/ Beveled Mirror~Oak
This is an old original antique oak wall medicine cabinet with a beveled mirror. There is a carved design at the top. It came form an estate sale at an original South Dakota Centenial Homestead that was settled in the late1800's. It is found in the exact condition that I purchased it in. There was an old wasp nest on the top edge. But I removed that. I didn't want to try and wash it or clean it all and ruin the finish. Under the chippy ivory white paint, the cabinet is solid oak. The bottom edge has been modified. One side of a towel bar holder was removed. You could easily remove the other side or have a piece made to match and restore it. The latch and hinges work fine. It looks very good over-all, is tight and strong, hinges are good and tight, has original porcelain pull, it has a few"extra" holes bored at the back but nothing significant. Looks like it may originally have had a keyed lock- the inside brass portion of the lock is still intact. The doors close nicely and notice the very sweet brass latch(it still works! on the left-inside door(photo. The last photo shows one side of the back with its small brass hanger which matches the opposite side for ease in slipping over screw heads.

Lovely little Oak wall shelf or cupboard looks like a Victorian or Early American pattern with spoon carved flowers and vines and leaves and scalloped shelves and plate rack on top that is kind of barley twisted style. It has little acorns on top to hold the rail. The carved door is an inserted into the frame. there are no deep scratches on the door that is displaying the carving. My camera is not doing a good job with detail. It hangs on the wall. But it can also sit on a table or dresser, but is not as sturdy that way. It is made to hang. All original hardware. Very versatile piece could go with other oak vintage pieces, cottage or Victorian, or even french country style. Works into most any decor. Great for organizing in kitchens or living rooms. This is a very nice Victorian Wall Display Cabinet. It has the brackets on the back to hang on the wall. It has one door. Which is thick belveled glass panels. It has the original key, locking mech. closes and locks) It has a shelf area on the top as well. It has a small brass lion head on the bottom and a small brass crown on the top. It is a total of 18 inches tall and 14 inches wide. The inside portion of the display case is 10 inches tall and 12 inches wide. The cabinet was purchased by my mother-in law in Holland in the early 70's from an antique shop when she lived there. This antique cabinet was made of either oak. Chestnut or ash and it has a nice warm patina to the wood. There are some age cracks, some staining, the back board has a slight warp. there are no repairs, and the mounting holes are ovaled out from years of usage. Up for sale is this nice four section oak file cabinet. Made by library bureau.I have setting in driveway that is not level. When on level floor there is no gaps between the units. Measures 84 inches in length. Finished ends. Drawers will hold something 6 inch high by 8 1/4 inches wide. Center board comes out and will hold something 17 inches wide. Great amount of storage in this unit. Has original finish with normal wear from use. In the back bottom there is some dry rot from moisture over the years. Very minor as pic shows. Made in Europe from oak wood around 1880. It is a truly beautiful piece of furniture that will adorn the wall of any home for years to come. There are two really striking features on this antique wall cabinet. The first is the ebonized or black color. This is a common finishing technique that was used on ... morepieces from that era. The term Black Forest does not refer to the color of the piece(although many of the pieces are ebonized) but rather to the area from which they were made. The second striking feature of this wall cabinet are the stunning hand carvings found all over the piece. From the main carvings on the doors to the lions head above and every where else. Intricate carvings that were done by hand seem to come alive as you look at them. This cabinet would really add interest to any wall! This cabinet is intended to hang on the wall and could be used in any room of the home. We recommend that you attach new hanging hardware to the back to keep it secure.
