This is a lovely. Delicate bride’s book, probably from the early 1900s. Hailing from Marysville, Ohio, this was a premium from a furniture store named H. W. Morey& Co. which says it is the“oldest and largest furniture store in Union County. The Morey family later founded the Union County Historical Society. The furniture company was in business beginning in 1880 and was in business in the same building until 1902. I cannot authenticate it after that date. The book is simple heavy paper with a ribbon binding the spine. The cover is embossed with a cathedral form frame around a delicately drawn and colored picture of a bride. Her gown and appearance are more Victorian than Deco. At the bottom. It is embossed Our Wedding. The inside pages are for recording the event, list of guest, honeymoon, first home, etc. It is amazing for its extraordinary ... moremodesty, so foreign to today’s weddings. The only thing I could find on Frohock Furnutire that it opened in 1911. It is 7 1/2 in. across. It has crazing, hair line crack, chips on the underside of the rim. Here is a used 1984 hard cover book with dust jacket entitled. Ohio Furniture Makers/ 1790 to 1845/ Volume 1" by Jane Sikes Hageman. The dust jacket is somewhat dirty and yellowed with age and has shelf wear scratches, scuffs, small tears, rough/missing paper on upper spine and general wear. Interior pages appear complete and in good shape. No writing, marks or stains noted. The entire book has a slight bend to it. See last photo. I would guess this would straighten out with some weight applied for a couple weeks.
