Here's a nice old or antique decorated wood ladies vanity box or trinket from somewhere in the late 1800's to early 1900's. This one is decorated with a wood burning process or pyrography. The brass hinges have markings"Wizard" and L. F. Grammes& Son" Allentown, PA. This is in nice condition overall with very slight signs of use and age. This had been in storage for many years. The lid is curling up just slightly at the front leaving a gap of about 3/16ths inches between the lid and the box frame when looking at it from the front. Should be easy to address if anyone so decides. The box is decorated on all four sides, top and also the inside of the top. It is about 5.25 inches square and about 2.125 inches tall. Nice. Antique Flemish Art Box (?) Pyrography. Bass Wood Box, decorated inside and out
Highly ornamented box is covered inside and out with Pyrograph.Except for the outside bottom) Of all the other similar boxes i have seen none were decorated on the inside. Box was marked on the bottom but it has faded over the years and the only thing that i can make out is the words Bass Wood. From the hinges and the latch(which are in very good shape) it appears to be a Flemish Art Box. But that cannot be verified. box is 5 3/4" by about 6 1/2" by a little over 2 1/2" deep. it is in very nice condition. no chips or gouges. a few of the corners are worn and color has worn off. in one short spot. the front corner of the lid does not match perfectly with the wood below it(you can notice it slightly in the main picture) it is a very unique piece.

Inside is 2 1/4" deep to the first layer. This box is in near MINT condition. There is mild wear on the edges and corners and there are two scratches. The clasp is a little hard to open. Antique Pyrography Tie Box old Vintage Burnt Wood Floral Design Victorian Lady
Up for auction is this Antique Pyrography Wood Tie Box. Box has a real nice floral design with a picture of a Victorian lady on both the outside and inside lid. Probably from the early 1900's. Box has two brass hinges. One on each end. There is one small chip in the wood on back right side corner. Hardly noticeable when looking at the box. There are a couple of pencil markings on the inside and bottom. They can easily be erased with a pencil eraser. Box measures approximately 11 3/4" long x 3 1/2" wide x 1 1/2' deep. This auction is for an antique/ vintage pyrography art wooden jewelry box made by Flemish Art Co. New York. The Art Nouveau motif on the lid shows a woman's head. There is also a fleur de lis on upper left corner. The sides of the box are also decorated. Original padded silk interior. Original metal clasp. The backstamp shows two bears holding a banner and reads: Flemish Art Co. Trade Mark- Flemish Quality is Standard- 688- New York. Dimensions: 6 1/4" x 5 3/4" 2 1/2" high. In great vintage condition with nice patina. The clasp works well. The fabric inside shows a bit of wear on some edges and has a couple of small light stains. This antique American wood trinket box features a spectacular Art Nouveau pyrography design that was hand burned on both sides of the lid! The centers of the daisies are softly colored on the top. Simply beautiful. The box measures 6-1/2" square, 2" tall, and is in excellent condition without stains or warping. The grain of the wood on the exterior is exceptional and the lid and interior lip have interesting, diagonally notched borders. Antique Pyrography Wood Glove Box - Nouveau Deco Lady - 1900-1940 US Wizard
This is a Pyrography- Flemish Art Wood Box. Most likely used as a glove box. It has the face of a woman with a bow in her hair, surrounded by flora. The hinges of box and the lock are in great shape! This belonged to my mother. The box itself is in great shape. The engravings are still dark and not faded or smoothed out. The only real fading is on the edges. On the back is written something in pencil. The only thing I can make out is"sweetheart) The vintage box was made by Wizard L.E. Grammes& Sons.

Antique Victorian PYROGRAPHY WOOD HANDKERCHIEF BOX hand burned & carved
This is a fine example of a Victorian handkerchief box. Hinged lid and with a burned(Pyrographic) design with the word"Handkerchief" carved on the lid. It is endearing though to see that the word handkerchief is missing the letters"i" and"e" and substituted with an apostrophe. Obviously the maker ran out of room for the correct spelling of handkerchief. It only makes it more desirable and personal. The box measures 5 3/4" x 6 1/4" and is in really great condition for its age. It is, however, missing the upper part of the closer.

ANTIQUE FLEMISH ART PYROGRAPHY WOOD BOX NO. 952 ART NOUVEAU
This vintage large wood dresser box. Circa 1915, was produced by the Flemish Art Company of Brooklyn, New York. It measures 11" long by 9" wide and 4 1/2" in depth. Bottom of box bears a hallmark with two bears flanking a shield and reads: Flemish Art. Co. Flemish Quality 952 Standard, New York. Box is in overall good antique condition, with minor surface wear and wonderful natural patina. It is well made with dovetailed corners, beveled edges and brass hinges& clasp. There are no cracks or chipped wood. It is solidly constructed but requires minor restoration as it is missing several hinge brads, its padded lining, and part of the front latch. Pyrography(or wood burning) Often referred to as Flemish Art, was a popular decorative style common in the early 1900's. It is frequently associated with the Arts and Crafts ... moremovement because of its simplicity and artistic qualities. Flemish Art Co. became one of the most popular producers of this type of hand crafted folk art boxes. This particular box is entirely decorated using pyrography with large poppy flower motif that covers the lid and three sides with the letter“M” burned into the center of the lid. With just a little restoration to the hinges and finish it would be a gorgeous Art Nouveau dresser box that could be used for hankies. Trinkets, or jewelry.

What a great box this is! It is burnt wood Pyrography in the style of a childs pencil box. This box measures approx. 8" long x slightly over 2&3/4th" wide and 1&3/8ths' deep. On the lid top in red are three alphabet letters B showing the picture of a bear.D showing the picture of a deer.and F showing the picture of a fox. Closure works good and snug. And when opened box has 3 sections for pencils and what need be. Inside lid is exactly like the outside except it has no red color. This is a nice wood burned(pyrography) Flemish Art Box. I believe it is from the turn of the century and used for collars/ cuffs. Looks like magnolias and foliage on the outside of the box. The hardware is original and in very good condition. The hinges are secure and work well. Measures 6"wide x 6"deep x 5.25"high. Stamped on bottom"Flemish 685 Art" There are some nicks and wear on the edges of the outside of the box and the silk lining inside is in poor condition. Vintage Antique Pyrography Wood Ladies Glove Box - Girl Skiing (Post-1940's) US
Here is an antique vintage pyrography wood ladies glove box showing a girl skiing on both sides of the cover. One side is filled in/or colored in. I believe that is how some where made. The box is 9" long. And 4 1/2" wide, and 1" deep. The box is missing its hinges, and on the colored in side the girls skirt area has two scuffs on it. On the bottom see last picture there is a small split where one of the nails where originally put in. The box came out of an estate on Cape Cod years ago.
