This measures a total height of 80 in( 6 ft 8 in) A total width of 34 inches and a total depth at the deepest portion of 14 3/4 inches, and the approximate weight of this piece is 55 lbs. The top of this etagere offers a incised carved pediment that rests between an arch. With raised carved panels of walnut accenting each side. Below is the vintage replacement mirror that is in excellent condition and measures 29 in high by 16 inches wide. Finely turned walnut spindle posts with turned finials, flank the mirror and offer support for the display shelves on each side. Below the mirror is an additional carved display shelf that is supported by a pierced carving. This is an exceptional antique French Empire mahogany bookcase in a classical style. It is of good size and measures 60 inches in height. 55.5 inches in length, 15 inches in depth. The interior depth is 10.5 inches by 26 inches on both sides. The doors are the original beveled glass doors in excellent condition with no nicks or damage. The bookcase has brass inlay all around it as well as classical brass or bronze mounts around the crest of the bookcase. The wood is a clean original finish mahogany in excellent condition. It is truly a well made top quality bookcase in an excellent style and you wont find them much better ... morethen this. It is probably 1880s in age. Due to the size of this piece it either needs to be picked up here on Cape Cod or it must be shipped freight at the cost of the purchaser. Offered for sale is this beautiful large antique secretary-bookcase in gorgeous solid wood. We think it is cherry. But will leave it to the lucky new owner to decide. The desk base is 44-1/2 inches high x 38-1/2 inches wide x 23-1/2 inches deep at its widest point. The top of the esk is 13 inches deep. The drop front reveals a complete contingent of pigeon holes and drawers. There are slide supports on either side that pull out to uphold the weight of the drop front, which becomes the writing surface. Below the desk are three deep storage drawers. The top drawer has hidden finger holds under the front of the drawer, and the lower two drawers have wooden knobs. The upper bookcase portion is 40 inches high x 34 inches wide x 11-1/2 inches deep. An Exceptional late 19th Century French 3rd Empire solid Walnut& Kingwood Parquetry inlaid Cabinet with a beautiful enamelled Clock inset. The very strong and sturdy piece with a rising inlaid moulded clock housing. Revealing inside a beautiful circular hand painted enamelled clock face with scrolled brass clock hands and a working key, rising above a central door with decorative brass lattice grill with the original period pleated curtain behind, and flanked at either side by conforming Parquetry inlaid doors which reveals once opened two large adjustable storage shelves. First. The pictures do not do justice to this beautiful piece of work. It's an Empire period Flame Mahogany Secretary with a 2-Door bookcase above and single drawer below. This piece was estimated to have been made in the middle 1800's and is in remarkable condition. The inside 2 drawers are hand dove-tailed. The bottom wide drawer is hand dove-tailed as well. The bead work along the front doors and along the top is in excellent condition and beautifully done. This great piece of furniture shows signs of age as you can see in the close up picture of the zipper-like crackle in the veneer along the side, but, there is no separation. The desk measures 80" at the peak, is 39" wide and is mounted on 4 turned legs. The depth at the top is 11" and is 18-1/2" for the drawer section. Here is a very handsome and seven foot tall Empire Revival period solid mahogany bookcase with some gorges figured and feathered veneer. The arched original glass doors add an elegant touch. Open the doors and find a grain painted interior with three adjustable shaped shelves. The base contains two deep hand dovetailed drawers with original wooden pulls. The"case" or the top section is also dovetailed construction. This bookcase has the nice rounded edges and the simple crown with the lovely figured veneer. Two piece construction: the bookcase with three adjustable wood shelves, the interior with an old ivory paint finish. Both doors retain their original wavy glass, brass escutcheon, key and lock. The drop front desk has a felt writing surface, cubbyhole with two drawers and letter slots. The two bottom doors have a brass grill over dowel framed pink fabric, with brass escutcheon and lock. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, solid mahogany, and stripped mahogany veneers, double door bookcase. The case has curved front corners carved with spiraling acanthus leaves. Large carved claw feet are on front. The case sides and the top board are solid mahogany. Each door has the original wavy glass panel, brass escutcheons, and the key(the two locks are missing their catch. each compartment holds three adjustable mahogany stained maple board shelves. It measures 56-1/4" tall by 54" wide by 15" deep, the shelves 11-1/4" deep. Excellent condition: beautiful original finish, no chips or cracks to mahogany boards, veneers without chips. The glass panels are undamaged.

The drawer base has flame mahogany veneers on drawer, original mahogany knobs. The furniture measures 7'6" 89-1/2" tall by 4' 48" wide by 18" deep, the shelves 11" deep. Very good plus condition: original finish, doors with lock, no key. Six panes on one door are new glass replacements, the rest old wavy glass. Small veneer chip top front edge of drawer case. Drawer retains the lock.

This antique Empire library cabinet/ bookcase would make a beautiful addition to your home or office! It has been dated as early as 1880 to as late as 1910. It's roomy interior has eight shelves that can be used to hold your favorite books or collectibles. There are 6 adjustable shelves and the bottom shelves. It is made of solid ribbon mahogany. The cabinet has it's original wooden back(with some restoration) and original wavy glass in the doors. The cabinet has a key. Here is a terrific late 19th to early 20th century Empire style three section one piece walnut bookcase with fluted columns. Octagonal feet with casters and dentition across the top of the front as well as old glass. This large functional old bookcase stands 65 inches tall and measures 74 inches wide by 18 inches front to back, with the feet being it's widest point. The top board on the bookcase itself is 72 inches long and 17 inches deep front to back. Inside the bookcase, the internal measurements of the bookcase on each end is 23 inches wide by 56 1/2 inches tall and 13 1/2 inches deep, while the central section measures the same height and depth but is 22 inches wide. Each of the three sections offers it's base as well as three additional adjustable shelves for storing books, with each of the shelves measuring 12 inches deep with ... morean additional inch beveled edge at the front. The old glass is completely intact and free of any cracks or breaks. The bookcase does have old lock mechanisms but I have not located a key to work them at this point. It has been crafted from flame mahogany. The glazed door is flanked with an imposing pair of columns that are capped with exquisite ormolu mounts. The interior has four adjustable shelves and there is a useful drawer in the bottom. It is a lovely bookcase which would blend beautifully with contemporary interiors. Not a lot to say here so will keep it short. Very clean like all our other pieces we have listed and restored. It's a very nice looking. Solid bookcase with a column front ending in capital. It retains it's original wavy, seeded glass which we have replace the old tack strips with rope gimp for a much more stable holder and much richer look. Restored in and out to a near perfect condition. These are still antiques but we get them to a condition better then they left the factory. Here is a very handsome and seven foot tall Empire Revival period solid mahogany bookcase with some gorgeous figured and feathered veneer. The arched original glass doors add an elegant touch. Open the doors and find a grain painted interior with three adjustable shaped shelves. The base contains two deep hand dovetailed drawers with original wooden pulls. The"case" or the top section is also dovetailed construction. This bookcase has the nice rounded edges and the simple crown with the lovely figured veneer. 3 Door Mahogany French Empire Bookcase With Brass Inlay Horner
A quite large three door bookcase with three drawer base. Considered in ways French Empire. Has a column front and many bronze/brass trims and inlay. Hard to find bookcase will display a nice collection with ample room. It's in good shape and we are yet to clean it but we will before sending out. Someone along the way has replaced the wood shelves with glass ones and they are done correctly. They must have used it for a glass collection or something similar. The Secretary measures 100 inches high. 21 inches deep and 46 inches wide. It is in great condition and very rich looking. The Secretary is in mahogany and the secondary woods are fruitwood. The finish is original with some finish issues on the top of the chest, refer to photo. The Secretary has one over two drawers each drawer has hand dove-tailed joints and brass hardware.
