Fabric lining inside pocket is damaged as shown. The inside of the pocket needs to be cleaned. Back piece measures approx 10.5" x 6.25" The pocket tapers out at the top. The footboard is 34.5” tall, 3.5” thick at the top, 58.5” wide. The side rails will sit approximately 9” off the ground when in place. This offering is for the beautiful antique walnut Victorian high back bed pictured. It is 91 1/2" tall and the headboard is 59 inches wide. It takes a full size mattress. The foot board is 31" tall. The trim piece at the very top of the headboard is not original; it was added at some time before we purchased the bed over 20 years ago. The original rails are included and the ends of each rail are pictured for you. I have also pictured the corner pieces of the foot board; they are ornately curved. Two items to note: At one time. There was a small crack in the wood in the foot board leg on the left side(as you stand at the foot of the bed and look at the headboard) I removed the side rail from the bracket in the leg and made the necessary repair, using carpenter's glue and then nailed it in place with two small brad nails and clamped ... morethe repair until the glue was fully set.it is a strong and barely noticeable repair but I did want to identify and picture it for you. On one of the rail pieces. The 1" x 1" piece of wood upon which the slats rest had some damage to it when we purchased the bed over 20 years ago. I replaced the piece with a solid oak trim piece of the same dimension. It was glued in place and also screwed to the side rail, making it a very strong repair with no breakdown of the repair for the past 20 year(this repair is also pictured for you.the repaired rail is the one on the left side as you view the picture) The offering is for the headboard. This is a burl walnut inlaid oversized full-size bed that has a curved footboard. And came out of a container from Belgium and dates from ... morethe 1920s era. It has turnip shaped tapered legs, a beautiful triple panel section on the footboard, and maple pinstripe inlay around the burl walnut panels going around the straight grain walnut, and also an ebony checkerboard type inlay. The bed is 62 inches wide on the inside, 57 inches tall at the headboard, and 33 inches tall at the footboard. The inside dimensions are 59 inches wide, and 74 inches long. The bolt-in side rails are even all inlaid and decorated, and make the bed all tight and sturdy. It originally had four legs on the front, one of which is missing. We can replace it, but it doesn’t affect the structure of the bed. We will replace it at no charge if you so desire, upon purchase. This two piece bedroom suite is from the 1 86 0's in the Gothic style made famous by the"Lincoln Bed" It is a beautiful. Dark solid walnut with much graceful carving and paneled burl accents. A ll pieces are the same color-the variation in the photos is from the lighting and light coming in the w indow by the footboard-and the distance from my camera. This elegant set consists of the headboard. 7" tall, the footboard, curved) and the two footrails with original metal braces and side extensions. We have the bed set up as a queen. With a Q-metal frame, but you can see the slots on each side of the headboard where the side rail extensions fit. An exquisite antique bedroom suite all original dating to the mid to late 1800's. This is a 3 piece set made from walnut. Burl walnut and veneer and accented with marble and original hardware that comes with the following pieces. Bed: The stunning bed is sure to be a focal point in the room. The headboard stands 70" high at the back center. It is 65" wide at the widest point. The footboard measures 38" in height at the center. The carved bird motif on the headboard matches the motif on the footboard. The upper edges of the headboard are done in an elaborate acanthus leaf pattern and a matching pattern surrounds the birds in the center. The details on the birds is incredible with finely details individual feathers. There are losses to the veneer on this and there is also a section of wood missing on the carved back area. ... moreThe footboard has a metal strip on the back of it holding the two boards together and there is a paper coating it that has losses. There are age and use appropriate dings and scratches to the frame that one would expect to find on an item of this age. Dresser: The dresser has a beautiful black and gold and white veined marble top. This is one solid sheet of marble. There are some light scratches on the marble but there are no cracks in this piece. The dresser stands 37" high to the top of the marble slab. It is 36.25" wide and at the widest depth it is 21.5" It stands 74" high to the top of the mirror at the center. There are some light losses to the carving and scratches from use on this as well. There are cracks on the side but they do not affect the integrity of the piece.This also has the same matching cross diamond pattern on the sides and front as seen on the head and foot boards of the bed. The edges are also trimmed with an acanthus motif. There is a single drawer above two doors that open to reveal shelving. There is a lock on this and it does work. This is one gorgeous piece of wood. It is burled walnut and is from the early 1800s. It is a lap desk or maybe used as a bed tray. It is 32" long and 14" tall. It is in really nice condition. You can obviously tell it is a true antique but I don't see any chips on the edges, etc. Please ask if you have questions. Victorian 1850's Walnut Bed Frame and Dressers
All this bed set came from a certified antique dealer in Vermont. As a couple we have never used it for anything more than decor. The bed is full size. But can accomodate many queen sized mattress and box spring sets so long as they are not oversized. The wood is in remarkable condition and nearly unblemished for it's size. This includes the bed and two dresser pieces with a large full length mirror dating back to the 1850's. The smaller dresser contains a marble top in perfect original condition. The marble top is available on the dresser with the mirror as well, however, there is a crack down the middle. The crack is repaired but still visible. If the marble is replaced or repaired by the buyer, the value of this set would increase exponentially. This is a beautiful bed set and we hate to part ways. Offered for auction is this beautiful walnut Renaissance Revival Victorian double high back bedstead and half commode/somnoe and dresser w/mirror. The finish is a light walnut which appears to be in pretty good condition with some areas of discoloration. The headboard is 7'4" h x 5'4" w. Foot board is 3'2 1/2" tall. Takes a full double mattress. There is a large carved cartouche at the top of the multi curved headboard with large applied panels with walnut burl veneer. Main part of the headboard has two recessed panels with assymetrical curved tops. Sides of the headboard are topped by large carved and turned finials. Footboard has same raised molding but has an elaborate carved element in the middle of the curved footboard. Side boards have raised molding and fit into foot and headboards with double hooks that ... morefit into notched holes. Mirrored dresser is same height and matches the carving and design of the bed headboard. Two candle shelves and two handkerchief boxes complement the mirrored back of the dresser.
