The glass balls in the feet measure 3 inches across and the legs. At the widest point, about half way up, measures 3 1/4 inches across. This table is not marked. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. Tall queen antique spool walnut 4 four post poster bed
For sale is a 1890s- 1910 spool 4 post bed. I believe the wood is walnut. The finials are pineapples. Fits a queen mattress but is a little short for the mattress. I bought a foam mattress and cut off about 1.5 inches at the foot of the bed. If not using foam you will have to have one specially made or use double size mattress. Very tall and striking! Original finish and very sturdy. Measures 90" tall. 62" wide, 80" deep. Pick up only 30 miles west of Chicago in Oswego IL.

Original Spool bed/Turn of the Century
Beautiful turn of the century spool bed that was made into a small loveseat. This is true Americana for the collector. I purchased this from American Garage. A well-known seller of Americana antiques. I purchased over 10 years ago. It has the original tomato red paint and it is covered it in a stunning red and tan toile linen fabric. The cushion is down-filled. There is some minor wear that is consistent with its age. The last photo has the down cushion. The first photo shows it without the cushion. Look up the original seller and you can even contact and verify with them that it is original. They are located in Los Angeles. The owner is Diana. This auction is for an antique spindle/spool/rope bed. Also known as a Jenny Lind or even Jane Austin bed. This is neither a full nor twin but a 3/4 bed. Head& foot boards measures; 23" high X 51" wide and the bed/mattress area is 75" long X 48" wide. I read online that a full sized mattress can be used, resting on the side rails, we had a custom mattress set but the husband tossed them ={ It was given to me by my husbands gramma in 1966,she was born in 1893 and the bed had been in her family prior to her birth. The bed measures 78 inches X 54.5 inches overall on outside of where the bed sits. The inside measurements for a mattress are 48 inches X 71-72 inches. This does not fit a 3/4 size mattress. Here is a true antique Jenny Lind style spool full size bed. It is a completely handmade turned spool bed. I believe it is maple. It measures 41 tall inch posts, bed measures 76 by 50 on the outside frame and 70 by 44 on the inside. All the rope knots are there. It takes 2 people to put the bed together. The unusual double threaded rail posts are beautiful. Its in excellent original condition. the headboard itself does need regluing inone spot I found, BUT, when the bed is put together, it is very tight. I was amazed at that. N ot really sure when this was made.lady who owned it said she knew it was in the family in early 1920's.it is absolutely beautiful and in excellent condition.the only"call" on the whole suite is the top of the drawer on the dresser on the left side has got a hairline crack. This was sold to me many years ago as a piece that dated back at least to the 30s if not earlier. ... moreIt's been responsibly stored ever since- I never got around to using it! I did put it together once in the 90s to measure it for a mattress. It does take some coaxing to click all four pieces together at the proper angles. But once it's put together it's a solid, stable piece. This is the old"three-quarter" sized bed. Some people get custom mattresses made for these; others just put a twin frame between the siderails and use the bedclothes to cover the small gap. The two bed rails may or may not be original; they were unpainted when I bought the set and I painted them a coordinating green. The headboard and footboard have wooden wheels on the bottom; one is missing. Replace the missing one or remove the other three to let the bed sit flush on the floor. It also needs a good cleaning! Early American Antique Spool Bed w/ Bed Bolts, Walnut & Ash
Antique Spool Bed*Loaded with clues. But uncertain of age. Researched and found that this type of bed existed in early colonial days*I have incessantly been trying to determine if this could be one of those extremely rare 17th century colonial beds and deserves to be in a museum. But it isn't conclusive. I saw pictures of one that looked similar in a Spanish colonial museum. Write to me proofs that I am wrong, asking for more photos if necessary. I'd like to error towards the favorable value. Maybe it is listed at an outlandish price currently, maybe it's way too low. So, appraisers out there, let me know what is true. Clues include: 1. Unevenly spaced spools(Done by hand) 2. Thick Ash Lower Frame 3. Walnut Upper Frame 4. Originally Rope Bed: later modified by sawing off knobs& hueing out places for wood slats 5. Shrinkage ... moreof Wood(see photos) 6. Large Mortise& Tenon Construction 7. Sawn off feet& caster wheels added(Likely due to once being on dirt floor) 8. Seemingly. Originally made without bed bolts(hewn out top of mortise with added material in bottom of mortise. However, the location of the holes for the bolts line up perfectly. The only other possibility is that the wood shrank and somehow shifted the hole upwards. 9. Age of bed bolts unidentified. But hand-forged on at least the head area. Can anyone ID age of these? 10. At least 5 or 6 coats of paint over the original varnish(milk paint seen?

Antique rare late 1800s Victorian spool or rope style bedroom set. This vintage set of 3 includes all original bed frame consisting of headboard. Footboard and rails, the original springs will also be included) chest of drawers/dresser, and hard to find cabinet which originally held a wash basin. The cabinet was slightly modified in the early 1900's for kneedlepoint. Knitting, and/or sewing use. The bed is sometimes referred to as the"Jenny Lind" style. These are original authentic pieces fashioned out of beautiful sturdy hardwood with the original finish. There is minor wear, but all are in remarkable condition for their age. The foot of the bed frame does have a chip which I have tried to show in the pictures. The photos do not do these pieces justice, they are the best I could get in my friend's garage. Antique Jenny Lind walnut spool twin bed with slats 100+ yrs in my family
You are b idding on an antique Jenny Lind spool bed in twin size. This bed has been in my family for at least 5 generations. When I was a little girl my sister and I needed beds(this was about 1963) So my grandparents went into the old brick one-room schoolhouse on their property, which they used as a storage shed. These beds had been stored in there for at least 60 years by that time. It is a twin bed frame. Included are: headboard. Foot board, original wood side rails, original slats(which were made from antique wood floor boards by my great-grand-father) There is original metal hardware to connect the side rails to the head and foot board- it is a metal keyhole slot. I have tried to photo graph its condition as accurately as I can. For such a well-used piece. Its overall condition is pretty good. The finish is worn. Which I personally ... morelove, but you could paint it too. There is a missing ch unk out of the foot board"shoulder" which is about 1 inch by 2 inches. It still works fine. But needs to be filled with wood putty or similar to make it look better. A few places have been glued back together over the years. There are numerous screw holes from people putting the bed together, although it will assemble without the screws. The wood slats simply set into the niches of the side rails. They can be screwed into place for a more permanent solution. The second bed is being offered in a separate listing. For parts. Sadly, it has not weathered as well as its mate. The spindles at the foot board are 35 1/2 inches tall. The horizontal bar at the footboard has a height is 30 1/2 inches. The overall height of the headboard is 32 inches. The side slats are 4 inches high by 1 inch thick. There are metal"S" clips which are used to hold the boxspring and mattress in place. The bed is in good condition. It has classic details and the headboard makes a great statement. It takes an antique mattress[ not a standard size] It measures 47 inches between the wood rails and takes a mattress that measures 47 inches x 72 inches long. It measures 51 inches to the peak of the headboard and 48 inches to top of footboard. The sides are mortise and tenon construction that has a through bolt to pull it tight. The bolts are replacements and make a solid bed for your log cabin or loft. There are heavy duty steel angle irons that hold the box spring in place and at one time a rope support was used. I love this bed. I have had two different antique dealers state it is a Davis Cabinet Company: Cumberland Valley Spool Bed in walnut(not cherry) Unfortunately this piece has no markings indicating this. It does have the rails. Which are metal. I did look it up the Davis Cabinet website and it is definitely what it appears to be.

antique child's wooden spool bed crib from early 1900s
This very old antique child's bed has been in my personal family for over 40 years. And before that, belonged to an aunt whose brother slept in it. She is now 84 years old. It is wooden, I don't know what kind of wood. As you can see it folds down for easy moving and has wheels. One of the legs will need to be repaired, as the hinge has pulled out. One of the photos will show the damage up close. A standard size crib mattress will fit, but there is room left over at the top and bottom. This really should be used only for display. Altho my 44 year old son slept in it safely for years, I'm quite sure that it would not pass any of the safety crib standards used today. It is easy to fold up for storage and the weight is approximately 33 lbs. It measures 57" long 30" wide x 24" high. Quilt NOT included in the sale.

I know without a doubt that is the best buy on Ebay for a Davis Cabinet Solid Walnut bed.it has been in the same family now for 51 years and has treated the way furniture of this quality should be treated.I can't use anymore and am going to sell it if it just bring 25 to 30 percent of others want for theirs.my reserve should be met within the first 24 hours but we will wait and see.I live in Jackson. If you know Davis Cabinet Company, then you already know their quality. This is a Solid Cherry wood bed with original siderails, and it is in overall Great condition. The one repair to mention is on a siderail where it connects, and the small studs that go in place got lost, so they were replaces with bolts. You could easily replace the bolts with more metal studs. The bed is sturdy and is just beautiful, with all of the spooling of each individual piece, and the grain is Spectacular Choice Cherry wood. Interesting and beautiful wooden bed. Unsure of age. To my eye seems like turn of the century but I have no provenance so I do not want to misrepresent. Internal measurement of 44x72. That seems like the equivalent of a twin which is 39x75. Holds together with very long bolts which look hand-forged. May need additional fixing once assembled since the bolts seem loose. Easily tighten up the frame with the addition of 4 corner brackets. Could also make a wonderful headboard/footboard if affixed to a modern bed frame. Please ask for additional photos or measurements. Antique Walnut Jenny Lind 3/4 Sz Spool Bed w/ Box Springs - Very Good Condition
This was purchased prior to 1930 by my grandmother. It is a Jenny Lind style 3/4 spool bed in solid walnut in excellent condition. I did not like the dark finish and had it stripped to the natural finish. It comes with the original metal box springs and the mattress. Full-sized sheets work well. The mattress was unfortunately damaged by water from when it was in my condo storage unit. It was a very small amount of water. But it damaged one of the short ends of the mattress. The damage looks to be possibly from rust from the frame inside that material. That said, I want to keep it wrapped in the plastic so I don't want to check further. Mattress companies can find 3/4 mattresses if this one doesn't meet your needs. I dismantled the bed a few years ago and all of the pieces(but the box springs) And the mattress, have been wrapped in ... moreplastic from the moving company since then. I do not want to remove the plastic, so I did not put the bed back together for an assembled picture. The entire bed consists of a head board and foot board 38" high by 53.5" wide by 2.5" deep; side rails 72.5" long; nine slats to place under the metal box springs. The box springs could likely be placed on the rails without the slats, but the slats add stability and my family has always used them. Finally, the mattress is included.

This spool bed has been in my posession for decades. It was professionally refinished in the early 1980's. Crafted in the early 1800's it measures 3 feet by 6 feet. Originally it was made for slats. Metal brackets have been added allowing a plywood board for a mattress. The bed is complete: headboard. Footboard, side rails. A classic of American furniture it is at home with many decors. Ever the genius promoter, Barnum helped manufactured a Jenny Lind craze– there were Jenny Lind hats, gloves, pianos– even Jenny Lind tobacco– and of course, furniture. The Jenny Lind bed was supposedly the type of spool-turned bed that the singer slept in throughout her tour.
